Duncan Hunter is no George Bush, I think he will regret that statement!

I don't remember what question brought that response forth, but I do remember Hunter stumbling over his response. I'm not real concerned with that specific remark because I've checked his voting record out from top to bottom and I think it speaks a lot more about the man than one 30 second response to a question. Furthermore, he may not be as compassionate as he seems to think because he certainly isn't showing much compassion to illegal immigrants!
Thank gawd Hunter is not George Bush!

I did not mention Tancredo above, he is my favorite but I'm worried about how nervous he gets speaking in public under the pressure of time constraint, he seems to do fine if he is not hurried, its almost like he had a stuttering problem at one time, I like his message but am worried that will hamper his chances to win in the end. May be he has just never spoken alot in a public forum. I have been watching for him to come up on the floor of the House and speak but haven't seen it yet.

Maybe it's just me...but I didn't feel like Tancredo was given the respect he deserves because of his stand on illegal immigration.

I think your right JAK and he didn't seem to ask Hunter as many questions as the rest either.

I thought Tancredo was totally disrespected by Chris Matthews. First of all, they purposely placed him last in line. Did you notice on the Terri Schivo question, he allowed answers from each candidate down the line-up until Guliani. He skipped Tancredo! When Tancredo tried to answer, Matthews interupted stating that they were out of time for that question. Then during several other questions, Matthews interupted Tancredo mid-sentence to cut him off. Matthews never did that to Guliani, Romney or McCaine.

    Tancredo
I LOVE him because I believe he loves our country and will protect her. He stands very strong and clear on his positions. However, his nerves under the little time he was given were very apparent. That concerns me. I hope to see his debate skills improve.

Hunter - Based on his vote history, I believe he would protect our country too. I loved his comments about our border and trade with China.

Paul - Very impressive performance. Love his comments on taxes.

I will be thrilled if any of these three receive the nomination.
I'm looking forward to future debates.

Anyone know when the next one is scheduled?

I thought the same thing. Matthews kept cutting Tancredo off!! I thought some of the quesitons were competely idiotic too. "What do you dislike most about America," is one that comes to mind. Or how about, "If the nomination was to go to one of your competitors, who would you want it to be?"
