On Oct. 5, Washington County sheriff's deputies found the body of 71-year-old Jacqueline Bell in her Cedar Mill home. She had been brutally murdered.

Later that day, Oregon State Troopers spotted Bell's stolen 2006 Lexus on Interstate 84 and following a high speed chase, arrested Micus Ward, 19, and Jodah Cain, 17.

Cain has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempt to elude, reckless driving, reckless endangering and aggravated murder.

Ward has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and aggravated murder.

Cain is actually the victim's great-grandson.

On Thursday, the grisly details of how the woman was killed were released to the public...

KXLY reported:
The records obtained by The Oregonian reveal 71-year-old Jacqueline Bell of Cedar Mill was killed with a sledgehammer, and that her body was found wrapped in sheets on her bedroom floor.
Cain is currently in the custody of Washington County Juvenile Services, while Ward is being held at the Union County Jail.

Bell was retired from PacifiCorp power company, and was "well-known in Portland as a generous donor and volunteer at local nonprofit agencies," according to local media.
