    HIGH FINANCE EXPLAINED (joke)

    "HIGH" FINANCE EXPLAINED:

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you
    would have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have
    $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago,
    you would have $0.00 today.

But if you had purchased $1000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the
beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for a recycling refund, you would
    have received $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily
    & recycle.

    It's called the 401-Keg

LOL....I liked it too. Someone sent it in an email. I didnt figure out the numbers to make sure it was correct and I am sure the sender didnt either. But its pretty obvious that, right now, recycling beer cans could in fact be the more profitable investment....and you get to be drunk too.

Where you are, I agree, where I am, not so much. 6 bags of crushed cans in cali would bring us between 90-120 dollars. Here in Indy 5.75

we stopped recycling, cost more in gas to go to the center than we got paid

OMG...thats terrible. Hardly worth it at all. I guess its true that different states do pay different rates for cans. Some people here collect cans in months that they are short of rent money. But I agree it would not be worth it for what they give you out there.
