Wayne Madsen is confusing the valid Israeli interest in the protection of religious shrines and a desire to hold territory as the government of parts of Iraq. In order to be seen in context there are numerous Christian and even Islamic houses of worship and shrines in Israel. It says in the article Iraq and the local Iraqi political forces are supporting the efforts of the Israelis. If the Israelis were competing for power against the Iraqis and Kurds they would not be receiving their help. Israel does not want the maintenance responsibilities or promotion as tourist attractions for non Jewish shrines in Israel. The Iraqis would like the Jews to preserve and bring Jewish tourists to Jewish houses of worship and shrines.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
