John Kerry Admits Working with the Iranians to Undermine America

    Rush Limbaugh

How is John Kerry not breaking the law? He’s not in the United States government telling the Iranians not to do a deal with Trump. Can anybody say, “Logan Act”? Michael Flynn was threatened with jail time!

John Kerry Admits Working with the Iranians to Undermine America

    Sep 12, 2018

RUSH: Now, there was a dinner party in Washington last night. I was not there, of course, but I got feedback from it. Here is the bottom line of what was revealed. John Kerry — former secretary of state for Barack Hussein O — has been talking to the Iranians and has been telling them to hold the line, to wait out Donald Trump and his administration. “Don’t make a deal with Trump,” Kerry is telling the Iranians. In fact, the exact words, “Don’t make a bad deal with Trump.” Meaning: Any deal that you make with Trump is gonna be bad for you, the Iranians.

Kerry is telling them not to do it. Wait until Trump is beaten in 2020 and do a deal with the Democrats. “Supposedly, Kerry has met with the Iranians four times since leaving his office at the State Department and these words were said.” Now, two things. How is that different in than Michael Flynn talking to the Russians before being national security adviser? How is that any different? Michael Flynn was talking to the Russian ambassador as the incoming NSA, and now he’s charged with lying to the FBI.
His family’s ruined. He’s ruined financially. Here’s Kerry talking to the Iranians. I know what many of you are shouting at your radio, “Ted Kennedy did it!” Yes, he did during the Reagan administration. Ted Kennedy was sending letters to Yuri Andropov and whatever Soviet leader. They kept dying. It’s why Reagan didn’t talk to ’em ’cause they kept dying. But Ted Kennedy was sending letters to Soviet leaders, saying, “Don’t deal with Reagan. Wait him out.

“We’ll eventually get the White House back. We’ll get rid of Reagan. He’ll be gone someday. Deal with us.” This is sabotage. Kerry’s a saboteur! This is undermining the will of the American people. John Kerry’s never been elected to anything other than the United States Senate. He’s not been elected to do what he’s doing now.
RUSH: How is John Kerry not breaking the law? He’s not in the United States government telling the Iranians not to do a deal with Trump. Can anybody say, “Logan Act”? Michael Flynn was threatened with jail time!

Absolutely. This is so fishy, he's up to no good. I think he got paid big bribe money for that stupid deal and he's over there trying to figure out how to make sure it stays hidden.

Kerry goes rogue again, talks with Iran about nuke deal

    September 13, 2018

Kerry's actions are exactly why the Logan Act was created in the first place.

    By Rick Moran

Since Donald Trump became president, former secretary of state John Kerry has taken it upon himself to undermine the administration's foreign policy by attempting to negotiate with foreign powers on his own.
In May, Kerry met with a high-level Palestinian official, telling him he would promote the Palestinian "peace plan" and that P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas should simply ignore the president of the United States. The meeting took place shortly after Trump announced moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.
Now it's been revealed that Kerry met with Iranian officials to "salvage" the nuclear deal.
At what point does the government arrest Kerry and charge him with violations of the Logan Act – the law that prevents private individuals from negotiating with foreign powers?
    Washington Free Beacon:
Former Secretary of State John Kerry disclosed that he has been conducting rogue diplomacy with top Iranian officials to salvage the landmark nuclear deal and push the Islamic Republic to negotiate its contested missile program, according to recent remarks.
Kerry, in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt to promote his new book, said that he has met with Iranian Former Minister Javad Zarif – the former secretary's onetime negotiating partner – three or four times in recent months behind the Trump administration's back.
"I think I've seen him three or four times," Kerry said, adding that he has been conducting sensitive diplomacy without the current administration's authorization. Kerry said he has criticized the current administration in these discussions, chiding it for not pursuing negotiations from Iran, despite the country's fevered rhetoric about the U.S. president.
Kerry's comments are in line with previous reporting on his behind-the-scenes attempts to save the nuclear deal and ensure that Iran continues receiving billions in cash windfalls. These payments were brought to a halt by the Trump administration when it abandoned the nuclear agreement and reimposed harsh sanctions on Iran that have nearly toppled its economy and sparked a popular revolution.
Kerry is not so much a naïve fool as he is a traitorous SOB.
"What I have done is try to elicit from him [Zarif] what Iran might be willing to do to change the dynamic of the Middle East for the better," Kerry said. "How does one resolve Yemen, what do you do to try and get peace in Syria? Those are the things that really are preoccupying him because those are the impediments to Iran's ability to convince people its [sic] ready to embrace something different."
Kerry said he has offered blunt talk to Zarif in order to push the regime to accept restrictions on its foreign interventionism.
"I've been very blunt to Foreign Minister Zarif. I told him, 'Look, you guys need to recognize the world does not appreciate what's happening with missiles, what's happening with Hezbollah, what's happening with Yemen,'" Kerry recounted. "You're supporting an ongoing struggle there."
The level of ignorance here is shocking. One can imagine Zarif looking at Kerry as if he were from another planet. Iran is not trying to convince anyone of anything, much less that the mullahs are "ready to embrace something different." They are ready to advance their own interests, which include continuing the civil war in Yemen and helping Bashar Assad win the war in Syria.
I wonder if Zarif kept a straight face when Kerry was telling him this nonsense.
This is the exact reason the Logan Act was created in the first place: to keep idiots like Kerry from undermining the foreign policy of the elected leader of the United States.
Admittedly, the act is vague in some ways. Special Counsel Robert Mueller threatened to charge former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn with Logan Act violations for his calls to foreign officials – including the Russian ambassador – in December 2016. But Flynn was serving an elected president who would take office shortly afterward.
Kerry's rogue diplomacy is specifically meant to undermine and undercut official US policy. That policy was created by leaders the American people elected for that task. Kerry's deliberate efforts to make it harder for the U.S. to carry out that policy – a policy directed at an enemy of the U.S. – borders on treason.
That's not a word I throw around lightly. But a government that supports the destruction of America and the annihilation of the state of Israel should not be assisted in carrying out that goal by any American, much less a former secretary of state.

Pompeo Tears Into John Kerry Over Iran Meetings: "Unheard Of" Level Of Undermining White House

    “beyond inappropriate"

    Fri, 09/14/2018 - 19:40
multiple tweets at the page link

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed John Kerry over the latter's admission earlier this week that he met with top Iranian officials "three or four times" since Trump took office.
Pompeo called Kerry's meetings which took place outside of authorized diplomatic channels and without White House knowledge "unseemly and unprecedented" and further described the former Obama secretary of state's actions as "beyond inappropriate" in statements made today at a State Department press briefing.

Adding fuel to the controversy after a Thursday evening tweet by President Trump which also charged Kerry with "illegal meetings" that served to "undercut" US policy, Pompeo followed with a personal anecdote, saying he personally witnessed Kerry engaged in improper contact with Iranian officials and former Obama-era nuclear negotiators in Munich, Germany.
"I saw him in Munich with my own eyes, with Moniz and Wendy Sherman" Pompeo said, in reference to former Obama Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz and chief nuclear deal negotiator Wendy Sherman.
“What Secretary Kerry has done is unseemly and unprecedented,” Pompeo told reporters at the press conference in Washington. “This is a former secretary of state engaged with the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism.”
He accused Kerry of “actively undermining U.S. policy” by going behind Trump's back. “It is beyond inappropriate,” he added.
The controversy was reignited this week (following prior accusations from last Spring) when former secretary of state Kerry was asked point blank during a Wednesday radio interview about his rumored meetings with top Iran officials in which Kerry admitted, "I think I've seen him three or four times," but attempted to claim he was not trying to "coach" Iran on how to restart the Iran nuclear deal after Trump pulled out last May.
Kerry is of course now a private citizen out of government but holds significant clout and influence with the Iran FM as the two hammered out the details of the JCPOA brokered under President Obama in the first place. Conservative pundits have long cast his actions as a violation of the Logan Act.
He responded to Trump's accusations late in the day Friday, via Twitter, while not forgetting of course to hawk is new book:
Also on the same day as the Wednesday Hugh Hewitt Show admissions, former Secretary of State Kerry appeared on FOX and was interviewed by Dana Perino.

"I think everybody in the world is sitting around talking about waiting out President Trump," Kerry said to Perino. "You've got our allies, remarkably the people that we've worked with the closest through the years who are sitting there saying, 'What's next?'" Kerry added.

During Pompeo's Friday comments addressing the matter, he concluded of the Kerry Iran meetings, "I will leave legal questions for others".
It appears this was in echo of Trump's Thursday evening tweet which suggested the potential for legal inquiry: "He told them to wait out the Trump Administration! Was he registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act?" Trump stated rhetorically.
