We also used to think that things this stupid, were only possibly said by Michelle Bachman. The mantle of stupidity has been passed down to yet another liberal. As pointed out by Norvell Rose, a writer for Western Journalism, given what John Kerry said in the video above, one could reasonably ask a question thats consistently repeated by liberals: “What about the separation of Church and State?”.
This whole debacle took place on a special ceremony in Washington. He yet again, took that time on wednesday to promote global warming and it’s apparent ‘man-made causes’. As you just saw above, Kerry took it a step further this time.
The Secretary of State pointed out some scripture that we weren’t aware of. He claimed that the United States has a ‘biblical responsibility’ to confront climate change to help protect ‘vulnerable Muslim-majority countries’.
Kerry’s sermon is obviously not sitting well within the conservative circle. Everyone with two eyes and a bible knows for a fact, that’s absolutely not what God was saying. EVEN IF Kerry was right about the bible, is he implying that America is a Christian country? Does that mean we also follow the other commandments and instructions from God?
If so, i would love to be in THAT nation. I would adore living in a nation where we followed GOD’s plan for the U.S. and not some liberal talking piece in Washington.

Secretary of State John Kerry, stopping in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to visit with U.S. Embassy staff, implied that religious tenets created more than 1000 years ago were inappropriate for modern society.

Kerry said:

This is a time here in Africa where there are a number of different cross-currents of modernity that are coming together to make things even more challenging. Some people believe that people ought to be able to only do what they say they ought to do, or to believe what they say they ought to believe, or live by their interpretation of something that was written down a thousand plus, two thousand years ago. One of the big problems in America today is how some people see false racism or bigotry nearly everywhere they look. They see what they want to see.
A bigger problem is many of those people are in positions of authority.

Such is the case in a Chicago suburb, where four firefighters have been relieved of their duties for refusing to remove American flags from their lockers and helmets. The four were disciplined after they refused to comply with an order issued last week by Maywood Fire Chief Craig Bronaugh.
He claims that there is a culture of racism in the department and issued a strict memo saying all decals and stickers, including American flags and military stickers, should be removed from lockers and helmets.

‘As a fire chief here, I cannot afford nor tolerate,’ he told WGN. He cites a picture of a monkey smoking a cigarette that he found taped on a locker as evidence of the racist culture.

From WMAQ-TV: Firefighters may return to work and can keep their American flag stickers posted, Maywood Fire Chief Craig Bronaugh said, after he was the target of massive pressure from the public. However the firefighters say that they are still filing a hostile work grievance against the Chief.

Some firefighters told Top Right News that the Chief is still banning stickers such as for the branches of service in which they served, 9/11 remembrances, etc, and say many feel that Mayor Perkins should fire Bronaugh for making irresponsible and inflammatory statements alleging false “racism,” and retaliating against those displaying the American flag.

The United States House of Representatives allowed a Muslim imam to give the opening prayer on Thursday morning, in which he praised Allah, the demonic god of Islam, who is the enemy of Christ and America.

Imam Hamad Ahmad Chebli of the Islamic Society of New Jersey was invited by Democrat Rep. Rush Holt (NJ).
Chebli praised Allah as, "The most gracious, the most merciful" and then declared "Praise be to Allah, the cherisher, the sustainer of the world; the most gracious, the most merciful master of the day of judgment."

He then went on to declare, "Thee do we worship and thine do we seek. Guide us to the safe path."

Inconsistent with the biblical prophets and the Lord Jesus Christ, Chebli deceptively said that Allah is the "god of the prophets and the messenger says in the koran, he does not place a responsibility on you greater than you can bear. Everyone will receive the good they have earned and vice versa."

Then, the imam finally got around to his prayer.

"O god, bless us as we begin a new day," he said. "Bless this assembly. Bless the people and nation it represents. O god, at this time in our history, the challenges for our nation and the world are many. O god, grant these men and women the wisdom, the guidance and the strength to pursue compassion, justice and sound judgment. O god, in your wisdom, you have placed upon them great responsibility and honor. O god, please help them with your guidance and your light."

He concluded, "O god, O god, improve the well-being of all inhabitants of this great nation and beyond. Amen."

How can a false, non-existing god do any of these things, especially in light of the history of Islam? Their history is replete with violence, tyranny and bloodshed as they have been commanded to perform in the Koran.

America, Islam is your enemy, not your friend. America has invited the judgment of God into its government and now thinks it appropriate to call upon a god promoted by a demon possessed, murdering, thieving pedophile named Mohamed. America's leaders have not lifted a finger to stop the infiltration of Muslims into key positions in our government and only a few are willing to call them out.

Men like Chebli hold to the same ideology as those who are killing your sons and daughters overseas. They are of the same ideology as those who have murdered your fellow Americans on our own soil. Are we just going to stand by and watch this disgrace without a peep? You know the email addresses of your representatives. You know their phone numbers. You know their address. Demand that Islam be banned from entering the House or Senate ever again and that their be a forthcoming apology to the American people and repentance before God for bringing such a man into Congress.

There are professed Christians in the House of Representatives and yet, not one peep from them while a demonic deity was praised and petitioned.

Shame on you!

Elijah would have been mocking this man and then calling for his removal and subsequent execution by the people (1 Kings 1. The longer Islam is tolerated in America, the more dangerous for the people and the more we provoke the true and living God to wrath against us.

Where is the Church? Where are her cries here as they have been against the lesbian mayor in Houston? Where is the outrage America that the "religion of pieces" is allowed to utter anything in the halls of our government? And don't give me "freedom of religion" or any such nonsense of an appeal towards the First Amendment, recalling that none of that was purposed in its writing.

This came just ahead of Friday's first ever Muslim call to prayer at the Washington National Cathedral.
America, judgment is at the door and you continue to sleep thinking that God will not bring the hammer down. Arise, wake from your slumber and put down the enemies of God and our country while there is still time to do it. Repent!

With newly re-elected Speaker of the House John Boehner presiding AND BOWING HIS HEAD, the Imam for the Islamic Center of Central Jersey praised Islam's Allah from the House floor as the God who reigns supreme. Chebli didn't just appear at the House floor; he also delivered Islamic prayers at the National Cathedral, which was prepared for Muslim prayers with rugs.

Numerous speakers, including Cathedral officials and local Muslim leaders, echoed Rasool's message [Muhammad's Message] about the urgent need for religious understanding and collaboration. Most made pointed references to the symbolism of the majestic Christian building, where they had gathered to pray and commune.

Rev. Gary Hall, dean of the Cathedral, spoke of St. Benedict, whom he said believed equally in the importance of prayer and hospitality. Marveling at the sounds of Arabic prayers, which he called "a beautiful sacred language in a beautiful sacred space," Hall said he hoped the service would serve as a beginning for future efforts to work together for good.

Rashid Makhdoom, a retired engineer from Potomac, said he believes the message and symbolism of the event would "reverberate throughout the world. It should be a lesson for Muslims everywhere that we and Christians are all one," he said.

But that wasn't all true. Fortunately, there appeared a "Deborah," "Jael," and a "Judith," in that one Christian woman made a scene when it became obvious that an act of conquest and harlotry was taking place, she screamed out:

We're not talking about a harmless, moderate Imam here. Instead, we're talking about a major devil. According to Chebli's bio:

"Early in his studies, a teacher named Hassan Khaled chose Chebli to serve at a neighboring mosque. Nearly four decades later, Chebli laughs as he recalls the puzzled expression of the mosques members when a lanky boy in glasses came to lead their prayers …[Hassan] Khaled, his mentor, was chosen Grand Mufti of Lebanon, the nation's foremost Islamic legal scholar in the Sunni Muslim sect."

Chebli's mentor, Khaled, who was the Mufti of Lebanon was "martyred" after a bomb was set up which killed him and others. His father went the same way "martyred" by a bombing. Have a look at Khaled, the fiery revolutionist exhorting a crowd to chant, 'Allahu Akbar':

The speech tone in Arabic is always different than what you find on the House Floor in English, of course, but we cannot attribute the man to be like his mentor, this would be 'guilt by association.'

Khaled, the man's mentor is even featured prominently on the official Muslim Brotherhood website.

And in the same footsteps as Khaled, Chelbi also traveled to Egypt to study at Al-Azhar University, the world's oldest university and center for Brotherhood jurisprudence. It was during this time that Chelbi's mentor Khaled was chosen as the nation's foremost Islamic legal scholar in the Sunni Muslim sect.

Prior to Khaled's fallout with the PLO's Yasser Arafat, he was a champion and supporter of Palestinian terrorism against Israel to sending terrorist recruits from Lebanon.

The selection of Chelbi also appears to have significance relative to the U.S. policy in Syria. Both his mentor Khaled – and Khaled's father – were killed by the Syrian regime. As such, Chelbi has an axe to grind when it comes to Bashar al-Assad. With news that the Obama administration is actually considering a policy based on an absurd premise that the best way to defeat ISIS is to remove Assad from power, Chelbi's appearance at locations of national significance seem to coincide with this potential shift in U.S. policy.

Despite western portrayals of Chelbi as a moderate, he absolutely is not.

When it comes to Muslim prayers being delivered on the House floor or at the National Cathedral, unfortunately, this is not new. The precedent was set by Boehner's predecessor – Speaker Dennis Hastert – less than one year prior to 9/11. As for the National Cathedral, none other than President George W. Bush shared a podium with Muzammil Siddiqi, then president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

First up, on February 7, 2001, Chairman of the Dar al-Hijrah mosque Bassam Estwani delivered a prayer on the floor of the House as well. As the chairman of Dar al-Hijrah, Estwani represented perhaps the most notorious mosque on American soil. It was visited by three of the 9/11 hijackers and was home to Anwar al-Awlaki, the inspiration for the Fort Hood shooter. Estwani was the chairman of the mosque at that time:

As for the National Cathedral, on September 14, 2001, just three days after the 9/11 attacks, President George W. Bush stood shoulder to shoulder with Siddiqi, the leader of the largest Muslim Brotherhood group in the U.S. and prayed with him.

The Religious Freedom Coalition's William Murray was in attendance at the Cathedral that day. Here is part of what he wrote about that day in his diary:

As the service closed I felt the chill of the presence of the awesome power of God. I was clearly reminded of the very first of the Ten Commandments, THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME (Exodus 20:3). The National Cathedral had been defiled by prayers to a pagan moon god, Allah. Our Christian President had bowed his head to prayers offered to other gods, prayers that may have been for those who would destroy our nation and enslave our children to an alien religion. At that moment the hand of protection of the true God was removed from our nation.

Since the Jihad attack on the United States on September 11^th, the President has surrounded himself with and sought advice from radical Islamic leaders who have openly called for the violent overthrow of the government of the United States. In addition, the President has invited six of the seven Islamic nations known to sponsor terror into his "coalition against terror."

By late Friday it became apparent to me that our nation was in fact not going to fight a war on terrorism, but rather follow the same old track of "punishing those who actually committed the crime." This was not a "crime;" it was an act of war.

When it comes to New Jersey, that state's Governor Chris Christie also has some incredibly disturbing alliances with questionable Muslim figures, as Shoebat.com has reported.

PATRIOTS, listen up….don’t dare be pulled into the leftist (Islamist-driven) claptrap that said Turkish terrorists, captured INSIDE Texas, are Kurdish fighters, therefore, have no fear! Yes, Kurds are, for the most part, allies to the west. BUT before we get to the meat of the disaster, let us recall all the previous (ISIS) lies shoveled by DHS, yes, that same Islamist-captured homeland (in)security operation – that one!
Major Recall One:
HOW worrisome is it that Jeh Johnson, DHS’s head, has been downplaying to the American public the inherent threats stemming from terrorists infiltrating into America’s borders? Beyond the national pale.
Major Recall Two:
AND it is this same DHS head who is totally non pulsed when military families are publicly threatened by jihadi terrorists! Does that sound like a leader the citizens can trust?
IN this regard, the latest infiltration has several layers, but let’s piece together its core components:
Four men flew from Istanbul through Paris to Mexico City in late August, where they were met by a Turkish-speaking man who stashed them in a safe house until their Sept. 3 attempt to cross into the U.S. over the border with Mexico.
Their capture by the Border Patrol in Texas set off a fierce debate over the men’s intentions, with some members of Congress saying they were terrorist fighters. Homeland Security officials, including Secretary Jeh Johnson, countered that they were part of the Kurdish resistance which, like the U.S., is fighting the Islamic State’s advance in Iraq.
But whether the men are linked to anti-U.S. jihadists or not, they admitted to being part of a U.S.-designated terrorist group, and their ability to get into the U.S. through the southern border — they paid $8,000 each to be smuggled into Texas — details the existence of a network capable of bringing terrorists across the border.
The four men’s story, as discerned from internal September and October documents reviewed by The Washington Times, also seems to contrast with what Mr. Johnsontold Congress in September, when he assured lawmakers that the four men were not considered terrorist threats to the U.S., even as behind the scenes his department proposed the four be put on terrorist watch lists.
Homeland Security spokeswoman Marsha Catron said the individuals weren’t associated with the Islamic State, which is also known by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS.
“The suggestion that individuals who have ties to ISIL have been apprehended at the southwest border is categorically false, and not supported by any credible intelligence or the facts on the ground,” Ms. Catron said. “DHS continues to have no credible intelligence to suggest terrorist organizations are actively plotting to cross the southwest border.”
She did not reply to questions about the status of the four men or why her department proposed they be put on terrorist watch lists.
As of a month ago they were being held at the South Texas Detention Facility in Pearsall, Texas.
The men initially claimed to be members of the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front, known by the acronym DHKP/C. The group is a Marxist insurgency that claimed credit for a 2013 suicide bomb attack on the U.S. embassy in Ankara, Turkey’s capital, last year.
But U.S. counterterrorism officials said the men were more likely members of the PKK, or Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which has been battling for Kurdish rights within Turkey for decades, though recently PKK and Turkish leaders have tried to broker a political agreement.
Both the PKK and DHKP/C are listed by the State Department as terrorist groups.
Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies, said the fact that avowed members of terrorist groups got into the U.S. shows it’s possible to sneak across a porous border.
“This incident proves what enforcement experts have always known, and that is there are existing networks in Mexico and Central America that have been set up and cultivated by a variety of terrorist organizations to enable them to move people into the United States illegally,” Ms. Vaughan said.
It’s unclear what the men were trying to do. None of them admitted to being part of a plot against the U.S., and several told investigators they were hoping to seek asylum, saying they believed they were being targeted back home by police in Turkey.
Two of the men had tried to enter the U.S. before but had been denied visas when they couldn’t prove they intended to return to Turkey, the documents showed.
Jonathan Schanzer, vice president of research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said he would be surprised if the men were part of a plot against the U.S……
MORE specifically, their Turkish origins are actually most germane. Time and again, Turkey has been front and center at this site and will continue to be in the future. What’s going on?
IN a nutshell, Turkey’s President Erdogan is a high level Brotherhood Mafia leader, and the ISIS is another terror branch from its jihadi tree. Yes, many of the hydras fight among themselves for hegemony, but ignore their internal rivalry and squabbling. In fact, as this is being written, Al Qaeda’s Nusra Front (also an offshoot of the MB) just signed a blood pact with ISIS and as long as it suits their purposes they will remain collaborators. But do ignore Obama Inc.’s reps (specifically, National Intelligence Director James Clapper’s bold-faced assessment) as they opine: no, this is not the case…as if it makes any diff at all, when both want to destroy America and the west! Not only that, Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s hand-picked yes-men always downplay the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia, even though their own documents reveal their plans “that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”
TRENCHANTLY, proofs often manifest from one’s own lying lips….
Clapper misled Congress, yet the connections between terrorist organizations and groups like CAIR, ISNA, IUMS, and many others are well documented. In addition, the many terror groups are connected as well and the infiltration in the US is ongoing. Our Government living in denial, why?
The next worry is that all of these entities have infiltrated the United States and our allies, and to doubt this is simply in contravention of documented truth. The problem is rampant across the US and he is one recent example:
Here is an excerpt from the NY Post on an article entitled from this week, “‘Carloads’ of terrorists turned Oregon ranch into training camp”:

An Oregon woman says she thought she was opening up her family’s ranch to local Muslims to teach them how to grow and can veggies — and that her husband was even expecting a tax write-off.
But US-born Muslim convert Eva Hatley testified in Manhattan federal court Tuesday that after the “carloads’’ of fellow Muslims she met through her mosque arrived at the 160-acre ranch in Bly in 1999, the couple watched helplessly as their home was turned into an al Qaeda training camp.
“It wasn’t anything like I envisioned for the property,” insisted Hatley, testifying at the trial of one-eyed, hook-handed hate preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri.
Hatley, a two-time witness-protection-program flunky who prefers going by her Muslim name, Ayat Hakimah, said other Muslims from London would soon arrive on al-Masri’s orders. (Read the rest of the article here.)

It is also documented in many other reports, some of which we have posted at Stand Up America. This is NOT a new phenomena; many diligent people have documented these connections and training camps for years. A top Hamas leader and the Palestinian ambassador to Tunisia have thanked Rachid Ghannouchi, the leader of Tunisia’s Muslim Brotherhood-linked party, Ennadha, for his role in brokering last week’s reconciliation deal between Fatah and the terrorist group.
Ghannouchi has been the most prominent Islamist leader in Tunisia for over 30 years and was banned from entering the U.S. during the 1990s because of his support for Palestinian terrorism.
The Obama administration lifted the ban in 2011 following the Arab Spring even though he never renounced his support for terrorism. He met with top State Department officials in Washington last year and during his most recent visit in February.

This link goes even further connecting Hamas/MB with al Qaeda leaders:

Ghannouchi serves on the board of trustees for the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), headed by radical sheik Yusuf Qaradawi, which has repeatedly called for Israel’s destruction. What puzzled us when it happened may be clear now, Holder appears to be protecting these very groups that Clapper denied being in contact with as is explained below. But just recently, the whole issue of why Holder would not release the documents on the ‘Holy Land Foundation Trial’ to Congress came up again….

“The suggestion that individuals who have ties to ISIL have been apprehended at the southwest border is categorically false, and not supported by any credible intelligence or the facts on the ground,” Ms. Catron said. “DHS continues to have no credible intelligence to suggest terrorist organizations are actively plotting to cross the southwest border.”
BUT Americans are hardly the only ones in their barbaric cross hairs, even as Muslim mothers (and fathers) shout to the heavens, opining: how did this happen??

More US Media Deception and Lies about Islam

Our new ad campaign is designed to show the absurdity of the mainstream media focus on “Islamophobia” amid growing jihad violence worldwide – and it is running now on buses all over San Francisco.

The ad depicts a knife-wielding jihadi, and says, “Islamophobia? ‘When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks’ (Quran 47:4). Is it ISLAMOPHOBIC to oppose these beheadings? RIP Colleen Hufford, Lee Rigby, Palmira Silva, James Foley, Alan Henning, David Haines, Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, Steve Sotloff, Herve Gourdel, and the millions slaughtered in the cause of Jihad.”

The charge of “Islamophobia” is used to intimidate people into thinking there is something wrong with opposing jihad violence.

Our ads are designed to increase awareness of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, and put an end to the denial and willful ignorance about that threat so we can adopt effective counter-terror measures based on that realistic appraisal.

The Muslim groups that complain most loudly about “Islamophobia,” like the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, have opposed every counter-terror program that has ever been proposed or implemented.

The ad lists some of the recent victims of jihad. Those people and preventing others from joining them should be our focus, not the fictional “backlash against Muslims” upon which the media always focus.

We hope to raise awareness about the need for Muslims in the U.S. not just to denounce ISIS, but to teach young Muslims why this understanding of Islam is wrong and must be rejected.

If the Islamic State is not Islamic, what is it? How did this misunderstanding of Islam become so widespread? Why are so many more Muslims from the United States and Britain than ever joined al-Qaida joining the Islamic State?

And while Muslims in the U.S. condemn the Islamic State, where are they teaching against the ideology that gave rise to it?

Right now, nothing is being done to stop jihad recruiting in U.S. mosques, even as several hundred young Muslims from the U.S. have gone to wage jihad for the Islamic State.

If the moderates really reject extremism, let them show it by instituting genuine programs to teach against this view of Islam.

Predictably, the media have mounted a campaign against the ads, quoting Hamas-tied CAIR and never giving the ads a fair and even-handed presentation, while hundreds of ordinary people have written to me thanking me for putting these ads up and getting the truth out that the media is determined to obscure and obfuscate.

Yahoo News showed how important our ad campaigns are when it published “10 Misconceptions About Islam” on Friday.

Will the media’s Islamic propaganda mill never end? The media have ceased their role as news reporters and have morphed into activist arms for Islam and the left.

As the jihad grows, the denial grows.

The more the jihadists wage holy war in the cause of Islam across the world, the more the media pump out deception and lies about Islam. The more previously “moderate” Westernized Muslims leave the U.K., Europe, the U.S., Canada and Australia to fight for the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the more frenzied the media’s “Islam is peace” campaign becomes. Why don’t these tools tell it to the jihadists? We have had it up to here with their deceit.

A devout Muslim supporter of the Islamic State beheads a co-worker in Oklahoma in the cause of Islam. His mosque, the Islamic Society of Oklahoma City, teaches the jihad, hate and Islamic war doctrine. A devout Muslim attacks NYPD officers in broad daylight with an ax. In Canada, a jihadist opens fire on Parliament a day after a different jihadist runs down two Canadian soldiers with his car – in the cause of Islam. The list goes on and on.

The first and foremost “misconception” is that jihad means holy war. “Jihad,” Yahoo tells us, “means exerted effort and mainly refers to the struggle for self-improvement.”

Tell that to the 270 million victims of jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilations and enslavements. There are 164 jihad verses in the Quran – none of them speak to a spiritual struggle. It’s all war, holy war.

Another “misconception” is that Muhammad married a child. The presentation doesn’t mention this hadith and others like it: “The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.8. Child marriage is still practiced in some Muslim countries because of Muhammad’s example – and Yahoo is condemning these abused girls to their misery by refusing to address the roots of the problem.

Yahoo also claims that the Islamic death penalty for apostasy is a “misconception.” Really? Tell that to the millions of apostates who have been murdered for leaving Islam under the Shariah. The Quran says: “They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper” (4:89). There are other Quran verses (2:217, 9:73-74, 88:21, 5:54 and 9:66) and many hadiths supporting the killing of apostates.

What is feared is a new intifada or holy war in Israel, specifically in Jerusalem, where attacks on its civilians and soldiers have been occurring. The present grievance has to do with the Temple Mount, the holiest place in Judaism, but one that was taken over by Muslims when they invaded in 638 A.D.
Muslims have a habit of either destroying the places of worship of Jews and Christians or converting them to mosques. In the case of the Temple Mount, known to Arabs as Masjid al Aksa, the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik, around 688 A.D., built the Dome of the Rock, a mosque. The site, Mount Moriah, had been holy to Jews for 3,000 years as the place where Abraham offered his son, Isaac, as a sacrifice when his faith was tested by God.

As recorded in 2 Chronicles 3:1 “Then Solomon began to build the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David, his father.”

And then Mohammad came along with a fanciful story. As recorded in the Koran, Sura Al-Isra 17:1. “Glory be to Him who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Sanctuary to the farthest Sanctuary, whose precincts We did bless…” According to Mohammed, one night he was transported from Mecca to Jerusalem, escorted by the angel Gabriel. From the future site of al-Aksa, he ascended to Heaven where he met the great prophets before returning to Mecca. Suffice to say the “Night journey” became a sacred event for Muslims and al-Aksa, when built, a sacred mosque.
Apparently anything in Islam is justification enough to kill any “unbeliever” and Jews have been on the top of that list since it was created by Mohammed, largely because the Jews of his time refused to abandon their faith and accept him as a prophet.
When Israel became a sovereign Jewish state in 1948, it was immediately attacked by its Arab neighbors and has had to fight several wars since then. It has never been free from attacks, the latest being those by Hamas from Gaza that provoked a military operation to stop their ceaseless rocketing.
In the wake of the first war the Jordanians retained control over the Mount Moriah, refusing entry to the area. The Israelis conquered the whole of Jerusalem during the 1967 Six Day War and liberated the Temple Mount. It was the first time since the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans that they had control.
Currently, the Israelis allow Jews to enter the Temple Mount on a restrictive basis, but they are barred from praying there!
Prayer is forbidden because the Israelis have not wanted to offend Muslims. Meanwhile the Palestine Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, has accused Israel of launching a religious war when Israelis responded to attacks by Palestinians on their civilians and soldiers as a way to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death. Abbas has had years in which to find a way toward peace with Israel, but never has.
Access to the Temple Mount has been a topic of discussion among Israelis for whom the site is as holy as that of the Muslims. Attacks on Jewish activists and others have increased, reflecting the Muslim resistance to any policy of tolerance that might permit Jews to pray there. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on record that Israel will not change its policy, but prominent Israeli political figures have made trips to the plaza of the Temple Mount to protest the regulation.
For all those in the West who speak of the necessity to extend tolerance to Islam and try to accommodate the demands of Muslims, it would be wise to look at what is happening in Israel, a holy land for three thousand years to Jews, then for two thousand years to Christians, and then to Muslims who arrived on the scene 1,400 years ago and who are engaged in a holy war to dominate the whole of the world.
These days, when not fighting each other throughout the Middle East, Muslims are committing atrocities around the world, killing innocent people with abandon in the name of their holy war and while they do Jews and Christians are forbidden to pray on the Temple Mount.
