ROSWELL, N.M. - A teenager from Ciudad Juarez apparently drowned at Bottomless Lake State Park while swimming with his cousin.
State police say 15-year-old Iram Bustos of San Patricio started to have trouble in the water Sunday afternoon, and 17-year-old Jesus Alan Luna-Olivares of Juarez swam to help him.
Both went under the water.
State police say Iram was helped out of the lake, but Luna-Olivares was not located for about five minutes.
Lifeguards and others administered aid, and both teens were taken to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell.
Authorities say Luna-Olivares was pronounced dead at 7:21 p.m.
Iram was in stable condition
