Liberals Furious That Forever 21 Is Proving Conservatives Right About ObamaCare

And now it’s time for another installment of Everything That Conservatives Predicted About ObamaCare Is Coming True. This is episode #4,376.

Did you hear about the latest actions of clothing store Forever 21? The store will be cutting back the hours of its workforce from full-time to part-time (or 40 hours to 29.5 hours). The reason for this cut? Although the company denies it, it’s almost certainly linked to ObamaCare. The company would have to pay extra money, in the form of health insurance benefits, to full-time employees.

So, because of the egregious regulation that is part of ObamaCare, businesses like Forever 21 are forced to cut back hours on employees so that they can save money. This is really simple Business 101: managers do what they can to bolster the bottom line as much as possible.

Faced with paying the onerous costs of an unpopular law that is currently being revised on-the-fly in an unconstitutional manner, Foerver 21′s management got shrewd and just cut 10 hours off of the work week of its employees. It can hire more employees to make up for the lack of hours.

And what do liberals do in response to this action of Forever 21? Do they also criticize ObamaCare for putting such a cost burden on businesses? Do they call for changes to the misnamed Affordable Healthcare Act so that businesses can afford to keep full-time staff?

Nope. They criticize Forever 21.

Somehow, to the American Left, it’s the fault of Forever 21 that the company actually has a business to run profitably. So, rather than place the blame on that trainwreck of legislation known as ObamaCare, they blame the company that is responding to the regulations imposed on its business.

Of course, what really bothers liberals about stories like these is that they vindicate everything that conservatives have been saying about the healthcare law for a couple of years. We warned them that it wouldn’t reduce the deficit, and we were right. We warned that it would lead to increased healthcare costs, and we were right. We warned them that people wouldn’t be able to keep their own doctor or health insurance plan, and we were right. We also warned them that Obamacare regulations would be harmful to business and force them into making changes that would have an adverse impact on the workforce. As Forever 21 demonstrates, we were right about that, too.

Liberals hate it when we’re right. That’s why this story makes them so mad.
