Megyn Kelly Makes A Powerful Case That The Obama Presidency Is ‘Imploding’

Megyn Kelly opened her show tonight tearing into the Obama White House for what increasingly looks like an imploding presidency, given scandal after scandal after scandal the White House has found itself engulfed in, both domestically and abroad.

Kelly opened with this simple question: Is Barak Obama’s imploding?
“Al-Qaida is resurging, Iraq is disintegrating and now we may look to Iran to help us stop it,” Kelly explained. “Iran — a terrorist regime responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans … We have drawn red lines in Syria we refuse to enforce, we stood by as Russia seized part of the Ukraine, and now we are releasing top Taliban leaders as the Afghanistan war is still going.”
She cited the bewildering fact that the U.S. may ally with Iran to deal with the situation in Iraq, and ripped Obama in particular as a president who has lost the trust of the American people by repeatedly misleading them.
She went down a list of scandal after scandal that the president has briefly acknowledged while smiling, golfing,and attending fundraisers.
She then closed her opening statement with this damning summation:
“Domestically, we have a president who has lost the trust of the American people by repeatedly misleading them,” she said. “He bypasses Congress, the people’s representatives, on matters ranging from Obamacare to immigration law, to the point one of the most respected liberal law professors in the country has called our president ‘the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid.’
“The American public overwhelmingly regrets ObamaCare, our veterans are dying waiting to see doctors, the IRS intimidates conservative groups, the southern border is compared to a sieve and the president assures us not to worry,” she concluded. “Smiling, golfing and at this very moment partying with fashion queen Anna Wintour … because the fundraising never stops – not when four Americans die in Benghazi, and not when Baghdad is at the brink.”
Brit Hume added that Obama’s goal from the start was to reduce the American footpring in the world by withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan, and the fact that Obama shows very little regret suggests he is hesitant to change policies, even when they are failing.

NBC: Obama's Poll Numbers 'Tanking', Worse Than Post-Katrina Bush Numbers - 'Your Presidency Is Over'

NBC’s Chuck Todd described the latest WSJ/NBC poll as a “disaster for the president” and argued that the American public is essentially saying Obama’s “presidency is over.”

This poll is a disaster for the president,” Todd said. “You look at the presidency here: lowest job rating, tied for the lowest; lowest on foreign policy. His administration is seen as less competent than the Bush administration, post-Katrina.”

“On the issue of do you believe he can still lead? A majority believe no. Essentially the public is saying your presidency is over,” Todd added.

Foreign crises and domestic economic unease have eroded President Barack Obama's public standing, sapping his ability to respond to overseas conflicts and weighing on fellow Democrats heading into the midterm elections.
As clouds gather abroad, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds Mr. Obama's job approval rating at 41%, matching a previous low. Approval of his handling of foreign policy hit a new low of 37%. Both numbers are driven in part by conflicts largely outside the president's control, including a new wave of sectarian violence in Iraq.
This latest dip in Mr. Obama's approval runs contrary to signs Americans agree with his policies on climate change and education, and as a divided Republican Party remains far less popular than the president and his party. Despite misgivings toward Mr. Obama, the survey showed the public sides with him and his fellow Democrats on a range of issues, including immigration, education and the environment. The latest Journal poll of 1,000 adults, conducted between Wednesday and Sunday, highlights what appears to be a lasting slide in the president's public image. Respondents split in half on whether the Obama administration is competent, lower marks than Americans gave former President George W. Bush's administration in 2006, after the war in Iraq and the bungled response to Hurricane Katrina derailed his presidency.

Fox News host Megyn Kelly opened Tuesday’s edition of “The Kelly File” with that very question, then laid out a convincing case to suggest that it may very well be collapsing.
“Al-Qaida is resurging, Iraq is disintegrating and now we may look to Iran to help us stop it,” Kelly explained. “Iran — a terrorist regime responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans … We have drawn red lines in Syria we refuse to enforce, we stood by as Russia seized part of the Ukraine, and now we are releasing top Taliban leaders as the Afghanistan war is still going.”
Kelly did not limit the argument to foreign policy alone.
“Domestically, we have a president who has lost the trust of the American people by repeatedly misleading them,” she said. “He bypasses Congress, the people’s representatives, on matters ranging from Obamacare to immigration law, to the point one of the most respected liberal law professors in the country has called our president ‘the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid.’”

Last night on her own show, Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly offered a marvelous smack-down of the Obama administration.
“Is Obama’s Presidency imploding?” she asked. “Al Qaeda is resurging. Iraq is disintegrating. And now we may look to Iran to help us stop it. Iran. A terrorist regime responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. What could possibly go wrong?”
“We have drawn red lines in Syria we refused to enforce,” she continued. “We stood by as Russia seized part of Ukraine. And now we are releasing top Taliban leaders as the Afghanistan war is still going. Not to worry, they tell us, Qatar’s going to watch them. For a year. We hope.”
Her verbal assault against the Obama administration was not confined to foreign policy.
“Domestically, we have a President who has lost the trust of the American people by repeatedly misleading them,” Kelly said. “He bypassed Congress, the people’s representatives, on matters ranging from ObamaCare to immigration law to the point where one of the most respected liberal law professors in the country has called our President ‘the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid.’”
