Megyn Kelly: Obama is “Out of Control… Impeach Him!” [VIDEO]

Megyn Kelly: Obama is “Out of Control… Impeach Him!” [VIDEO]

After the latest revelations in the IRS targeting scandal and the Benghazi terrorist attacks, the demands for impeachment of President Obama are picking up steam again.
Until this point, discussion of impeachment has pretty much been a moot point, as Democrats control the Senate and will never go along with an impeachment trial. But when the GOP takes the Senate in the 2014 midterms, impeachment proceedings will likely be high on the agenda.
When that time comes, Republicans would be wise to check out former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy’s new book, which lays out the political and legal case for why Obama should be impeached.
In the meantime, Republicans have been trying to fight Obama’s unconstitutional actions and Executive overreach in the courts. One particular case, that made it to the Supreme Court, was Obama’s declaration of the Senate being in recess, so he could appoint people to the National Labor Relations Board without Senate debate or confirmation. Supreme Court Justice Scalia called Obama a “self-interested President” in regards to his recess appointments.
At the time of the case, Megyn Kelly had Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on her Fox News show The Kelly File to discuss the Supreme Court case, and the various ways to stop Obama’s Executive overreach. (H/T Raw Story)
“And the question is whether beyond this case, what is perceived by some as presidential overreach, really can be resolved, in your view, by the courts,” she said.
When McConnell didn’t bring up the issue of impeachment himself, Kelly rephrased her question.
“We’ve had lawyers, constitutional lawyers come on this show and say, OK, so when that happens, when you have a president who, in your view or the view of some, is out of control in terms of overreach, you as the lawmaker really have two meaningful options,” she said. “And the main one that has been used historically is, try to impeach him!”
“I mean, is that ever considered?” Kelly asked. “As opposed to running into the courts and trying to get them to do it?”
McConnell pointed out that defunding Obama’s legislation was a “less dramatic response,” but refused to directly address impeachment.

McConnell avoided discussing impeachment because it is just not in his interest at this time to pursue it. He knows it is a non-starter in the Senate as long as Harry Reid remains in charge, and doesn’t have the heart to challenge the Democrats while they hold the majority.
We will have to carefully watch McConnell once the Republicans have taken control of the Senate. He will no longer have any easy excuses to avoid discussing and pursuing impeachment charges for the many high crimes and misdemeanors committed by Barack Obama and his cronies in his administration. They are out of control and must be held accountable.

(Watch) Judge Andrew Napolitano: ‘Obama Could Face 10 Years To Life In Prison For Providing Material Assistance To A Terrorist Organization’

“No exception for the President’s behavior…” Shepard Smith asked Judge Andrew Napolitano whether or not the Taliban prisoner exchange was legal under the NDAA H.R. 1960 Statute. The judge explained that the swap was illegal because taxpayer dollars were spent to remove these prisoners from Guantanamo Bay without giving Congress 30 days notice.

Megyn Kelly: Stop Messing Around and Impeach Obama

At this point, Obama has committed so many Constitutional illegalities—or crimes—that it’s hard to decide which to punish him for, but the general consensus on the right is to impeach. Megyn Kelley recently held a segment on her show to ask why we aren’t doing just that and impeaching President Obama.
Mitch McConnell recently appeared on The Kelly File in effort to talk about Obama’s illegal use of the Senate about two years ago. As Obama’s illegal acts are being brought to the courts just now, Kelly wanted some clarification on a few things.

The fact that Obama directly abused his executive power to force the Senate into recess so that he could push his agenda through when he saw fit is really no surprise. The surprise is that no one really did anything about it, and that it took a full two years for a court case to come about addressing the President’s actions.
During her interview, Kelly tried to subtly bring about the topic of impeachment when she started out by asking, “whether — beyond this case — what is perceived by some is presidential overreach really can be solved, in your view, by the courts?”
McConnell stated that the courts obviously take too long when it comes to prosecuting—thus the two year period in between the incident and the trial— when he said, “Well, the courts are not a quick remedy. [The recess appointments were] done two years ago and we are just now finally before the Supreme Court.”

When McConnell wouldn’t bite and talk about impeachment, Kelly just came out and said that when Presidents are found to be guilty of presidential overreach lawmakers have two choices, “try to impeach him,” or defund him.
McConnell danced around the real issue, but does state that defunding him would be the “less dramatic” option. He continued by saying however, that since Democrats hold the majority of the Senate, it is an unlikely option.
So when there is no other option, and, as Kelly puts it, Obama is in violation of Presidential overreach, what else can we do?
There is one only choice, and that is to impeach—and God knows Obama’s done enough to get his butt kicked out of the White House for good. But do the House of Representatives have the gull to stand up to the President that has somehow instilled fear in them? And do we really want double-barrel Joe assuming the position as the most powerful man in the world?
