Several of the 12 men arrested for alleged involvement in a kidnapping and assault of three women overnight Saturday have been formally charged and identified.

The Alamance County Sheriff's Department released the names of four men who remained in custody Monday for allegedly forcing a woman into a car at gunpoint outside Rincon Latino Club on Hawkins Street in Burlington.

Two female friends chased the vehicle to Seamster's Mobile Home Park on N.C. 49, just north of Green Level, where they were also held at gunpoint.

When they escaped at about 4 a.m. Saturday, they called law enforcement from a nearby convenience store. Alamance County deputies and Haw River police arrested 12 men from two trailers between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday.

The sheriff's office released the identified the following men Monday:

* Juan Manuel Flores Lopez, 24, of Seamster's Mobile Home Park, is charged with assault by pointing a gun.

* Manuel Lopez Rodriguez, 27, of 918 Apple St., Burlington, is charged with sexual battery.

* Hector Flores Lopez, 26, of Seamster's Mobile Home Park, is charged with procuring prostitution.

* Jesus Guadalupe Flores Lopez, 21, of Seamster's Mobile Home Park, is charged with possession of fraudulent identification.

Eight other men were released after questioning and interviews.

Randy Jones, Alamance County Sheriff's Office public information officer, said the investigation into the alleged kidnapping was made difficult by the number of people involved and their lack of proficiency in English. Most of those arrested needed an interpreter to speak to detectives.

As investigators continue to piece together Saturday's events through varying accounts, more charges and arrests could be made, Jones said.

None of the women were injured during the ordeal, and the 12 men were arrested without incident.
