The man charged with managing the U.S. response to deadly Ebola virus is on the record advocating a reduction in the world’s population as a means of social and economic advancement.
Ron Klain, who began his job Wednesday as coordinator of the Ebola response, was asked in an interview what he thought to be the “top leadership issue challenging our world today.”
“I think the top leadership issue in the world today is how to deal with the continuing growing population in the world and all the resources demand it places on in the world and burgeoning populations in Asia and Africa that lack the resources to have a healthy, happy life,” Klain replied. “And I think we’ve got to find a way to make the world work for everyone.”
He said climate change impacts the overpopulation issue “by making it hard for people to live where they live.”
Klain’s concern about overpopulation is shared by White House science czar John Holdren, the director of the White House Office and Technology Policy since March 19, 2009.
In 2009, WND obtained a copy of the 1970s college textbook, “Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment,” that Holdren co-authored with Malthusian population alarmist Paul R. Ehrlich and Ehrlich’s wife, Ann. The authors argued that involuntary birth-control measures, including forced sterilization, may be necessary and morally acceptable under extreme conditions, such as widespread famine brought about by “climate change.”

(NaturalNews) Ron Klain, before he became President Obama's latest czar (Klain is the "Ebola czar"), was chief of staff to a pair of Democrat vice presidents, Al Gore and the current VP, Joe Biden. His appointment by Obama has been praised high and low by liberal politicians. U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has called his appointment an "excellent choice."

But as was noted by critics of the choice when he was named, Klain has no medical experience whatsoever: He's been a Democrat Party hack his entire career, and this latest appointment is seen by some as just another rung on the ladder of Democrat Party power.

To counter that criticism, the Obama Administration said they turned to someone with loads of managerial experience, to make sure that the efforts to contain the deadly virus in the U.S. would be coordinated and efficient. And that sounds good -- except for new evidence that has surfaced which appears to indicate that Klain has very unorthodox views (though not for environmental activist academics and political figures) on global population.

In a recent interview, Klain was asked what he thought might be the top issue facing the world; "it turns out that the new Ebola czar, whose responsibility is to quash the spread of Ebola and save lives, is seemingly an advocate of population and resource control," SHTFplan.com reports. Here are Klain's own words:

I think the top issue facing the world today is how to deal with the continuing growing population in the world and all of the resource demands it places on the world.

And burgeoning populations in Africa and Asia that lack the resources to have a healthy, happy life. I think we've got to find a way to make the world work for everyone.

'Has Klain been appointed for a specific purpose?'

At present, SHTFplan.com notes, it isn't possible to project whether the current cases of Ebola in the U.S. will spread; if it does not, which will be a good thing, Klain's current czarist role will thankfully be short-lived as well. But having someone who may believe that the world's population is too large for the earth's good in charge of stopping a deadly disease is "a conflict of interest" of the worst kind, the website declared.

"Are we looking too far into this? Or is it possible [that] Mr. Klain has been appointed to serve a specific purpose for an agenda that goes well beyond prevention of an Ebola contagion?" the site asked.

Now, Klain, as you can see in the video, did not state explicitly that he was in favor of massive population control, or downsizing of the global population by some means. And he did not list any particular solution for the problem of world population growth. But the fact that he is overseeing efforts in the U.S. to prevent the spread of a disease that, in other parts of the world, kills 70-90 percent of those infected, is a bit of bitter irony, to say the least.

'Global population control' embraced by the 'tolerant' Left

Klain may just be the latest Left-wing extremist environmentalist who advocates for massive reductions in the global population because of the demands that they put on the Earth's resources. In 2006, University of Texas scientist Dr. Erik Pianka advocated the development and use of weaponized strain of airborne Ebola to kill 90 percent of the world's population, as a way to save the Earth. In that speech, Pianka slammed the notion that humans occupy a special place on the planet, and added: "We're no better than bacteria."

Regarding Klain's possible love of planet over people, it wouldn't be the first time that the Obama Administration was linked to the concept of global population control. In 2009, reports surfaced that administration science czar John Holdren co-wrote a book published in 1977 in which he supported the idea of a world government that would employ a global law enforcement agency to see that very authoritarian measures aimed at controlling the world population were carried out. That would include forced abortions, widespread sterilization via food and water and mandatory implants that would obstruct couples from having children.

Presumably, as is usually the case with elitists like these, such rules would only apply to the unwashed masses -- not academics and society managers like them.

Exclusive: Obama Plans to Import Ebola-infected Foreigners from Other Countries

I'm sure you've been following the news out of New York, and contrary to what President Obama and other top government officials have said, the Ebola crisis appears to be getting worse in the U.S. Judicial Watch is striving to pry loose the truth from reticent federal agencies that have a responsibility for public safety and our national security.

We have filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. In light of the potential danger from this deadly disease, the administration's long history of delaying and obstructing information requests could have severe consequences for members of the public who have been told that they are safe. We are prepared to go to court to force the release of critical pieces of information. Our Ebola FOIA requests ask for an immediate clarification of the DOD's plans for the evacuation of U.S. personnel from Africa if an Ebola outbreak occurs. We are also looking for information from OSHA regarding any plans the agency has for responding to the current Ebola outbreak and any expressions of concern by OHSA personnel.

Another key player here is a cryptic carrier known as Phoenix Air. We know this air carrier has been responsible for transporting Ebola victims, but that's all the American people are being told. How safe is Phoenix Air and what kind of relationship does it have with the U.S. government? This much seems clear: Phoenix Air is more than just a medical transport unit. It appears to have significant DOD contracts.

One definitive move the administration made that is worth noting is the recent appointment of Ronald Klain as the Ebola czar. JW has carefully documented the constitutional problems with the appointment of congressionally unaccountable czars throughout various executive agencies. But there's an additional problem with Klain's appointment. His appears to be motivated more by politics and less by qualifications. Klain is not an expert in infectious diseases. He is a long-time Democratic operative who gained notoriety for his role in the legal challenges surrounding the 2000 presidential election. Klain also previously served as the chief of staff to Vice-Presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden. He's what you call well-connected in Washington. For the rest of America, "well-connected" can be translated as "corrupt" in this case. Klain's involvement in Solyndra and the Clinton-era fundraising scams show just how well-credentialed and well-suited he is to represent President Obama. True to form, Klain's appointment shows that the Obama White House views the Ebola issue as more of a political crisis than a stark public safety issue.

And, as we note in this important Investigative Bulletin piece, Czar Klain: No Way to Run a Republic, this is another czar who will undermine transparency and is another Obama end-run around the U.S. Constitution:

The Washington Post reports that Klain is "tasked with coordinating domestic preparedness efforts and the U.S. military operation to help control the virus's spread in West Africa." He'll report to Homeland Security adviser Lisa Monaco and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, the Postsays. But the Federal Emergency Management Agency is also a player. And the Defense Department has a major role. And because it is Africa, so does the State Department. And so does the Department of Homeland Security. Power in Washington is in direct relation to proximity to the president. So a "czar" operating from the White House exercises powerful influence over these departments, which have a measure of transparency and accountability under the law that the czars do not have.

As Judicial Watch has reported, the Obama administration has named dozens of them across the executive branch. Many, like Czar Klain, are unconfirmed by the Senate, largely unaccountable to Congress, and often outside the reach of the Freedom of Information Act. That's a troubling consolidation of power, and no way to run a republic.

If there was any doubt the administration is not setting the right priorities, these can be erased by a source who has informed JW of a secret plan to bring Ebola-infected non-citizens into the U.S. The plan is both illegal and dangerous, the source says. Even so, the administration is pressing ahead with plans to admit Ebola-infected non-citizens into the U.S. for treatment. The general idea is bring these Ebola victims into the U.S. within the first few days of diagnosis. As is so often the case, President Obama has decided not to inform Congress, the source has told us. The plan includes special waivers of existing laws and regulations. We do not know how much the transportation for this dangerous maneuver will cost. (Will Phoenix Air be involved?)

Congress followed our lead again. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA.), who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter addressed to the secretary of state and the secretary of Homeland Security asking for details about this plan.

"Please provide me any and all written memos or other documentation written by employees of your Departments regarding the formulation of a plan to allow non-U.S. citizens infected with Ebola to enter the U.S. to receive medical treatment," the letter says.

The committee is giving the agency heads until the end of this week to respond. There is one way President Obama can carry out this initiative. He can do this by offering foreign nationals a special parole. Under federal regulations, a parolee could be defined as an alien who is inadmissible to an inspection officer, but permitted into the U.S. for humanitarian reasons. Obama has already used this exemption for the illegal alien "minors" who illegally crossed our border. He could do this again, without notice or announcement, to open the door to foreign nationals carrying the deadly Ebola infection.

So, as some argue about whether to restrict flights and visitors from Ebola-afflicted countries in West Africa, Obama plans to allow non-citizens infected with the virus into the United States. All the flight and travel bans in the world won't address this president's abusive use of power to allow aliens with Ebola into the country. I see nothing under discussion in Congress yet that addresses this clear and present danger. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), and some members of the Senate are on the alert and ready for action after Judicial Watch's disclosure, but the rest of Washington is asleep at the switch.

[Watch] Rep Goodlatte – Evidence Mounting Obama Planning to Treat African Ebola Patients Inside U.S

Rep Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, joins Megyn Kelly with information that is both very troubling and very consistent with the history of destruction to our nation by the Obama regime.

He says that there is increasing evidence that the socialists in power are planning to do exactly that, noting that his office as well as members of the media have received confidential communications to that effect. Goodlatte tells Kelly that based upon that information he wrote to Secretary of State John Kerry and to DHS Director Johnson asking them to confirm or deny the reports and to produce any related documents.

Goodlatte says, “This is simply a matter of common sense, that if you are concerned about this problem spreading and this is a deadly disease that we’re even concerned about the great health care workers when they come back not spreading it, we certainly shouldn’t be bringing in the patients.”

Kelly asks Congressman Goodlatte the nature of his source, which he said is within the administration. She also asks him if he has received any response to his letter asking if the reports are true. The Representative says he has received no response from either that letter or an earlier one that he and fellow Congressman Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the Immigration Subcommittee, wrote to Hussein Obama in which they pointed out that Obama has authority under current immigration law to issue a travel ban from those three Ebola stricken nations.

She asks what’s the risk, if we have the best medical facilities and the people are contained. Goodlatte responds that the disease needs to be contained where it is now and the people treated there. He notes how the CDC once again changed their analysis of how the disease is spread and believes there is no reason to take the added risk of introducing people into the United States when “we can take the resources there and treat them there.”

Over 33% of International passenger traffic goes through the three New York/New Jersey Airports. JFK is by far the biggest and handles over 55 million passengers a year. I flew for Pan Am and was stationed at JFK. It was amazing how many people from all over the World went through JFK. Why are there not more in quarantine?
