(CNSNews.com) – A proposal that President Obama offered during the State of the Union speech to expand a little-known student lending program was met with skepticism by Republicans on the House Education and Labor Committee.

In this case he is not an idiot. Consider it Obama's own specialized government growth hormone. And it is two ended. At the front end, massive new bureaucracy is needed to establish and administer the program, and at the other end half to two thirds of college graduates will be clamoring for government jobs to escape their loan obligations. A new dependency group will be established to ensure the government keeps expanding to accommodate those clamoring for the jobs.
