Oh Great-by not passing the crap sandwich we're gonna get an even worse crap sandwich:

Will Pelosi’s second attempt at a bailout include ACORN? Update: Dow loses 777 points, more than on 9/11; Update: $1.1 trillion in market value lost

Why not? She tried a bipartisan bill and got nothing for it. What’s stopping her from turning it into a Christmas tree for the left and passing it on a strict party-line vote? Bush will sign it regardless and Senate Republicans will be under tremendous pressure to decline a filibuster with the Dow down 600 points today and god knows where tomorrow. This is the flaw in the “if the majority thinks it’s so important, let them pass itâ€

Lou Dobbs said that ACORN was in this bill today.

I am so proud of the hold-outs in both the republican and democratic parties tonight.

Guys stand firm !!!! Turn off CNN, MSNBC, and especially FOX News... Remember they have billions of dollars riding on this bailout crap themselves and they are making this sound like the end of the world if the Congress does not pass something now. All they are interested in, is recouping money for themselves.

This country has gone down the tubes on greed and selfishness. Time to stand up as our House did tonight and say NO !!!!!!!!

As Glenn Beck said tonight, he never would have voted for this plan. If we did, we are approaching a 10 year depression guys.... depression !!! Credit is what got us into this position to begin with.... why free up the markets to give people more credit?

Take a one year recession now, or take a 10 year depression.... your choice. But I an damn proud of the House tonight... the few who have apparently not been bought out by special interest groups.

Giving money to that corrupt ACORN who has been indicted in several states for voter fraud is downright CRIMINAL! They are responsible for pressuring banks to loan money to "poor" people. The left is just trying to make a way to keep on doing what they were doing...redistributing wealth....taking from the earners and giving it to the non-earners.

It's absolutley enraging to see Barney Frank and Dodd stand up there grinning when those two were behind most of the Fannie and Freddie ponzi scheme.

Federal Reserver of Boston told lenders to disregard "out-dated" leaning practices such as credit history, job and income, etc. They were even told welfare and unemployment had to be considered when applying for a loan. The income liabiliy was as high as 65% and as of now Fannie is offering 60%. Imagine 65% of you income applied to mortgage, car pmt. credit cards. If you made 2000 a month you could have 1300.00. If you had only a 200.00 car pmt., then you qualify for a 1100.00 mortgage. You are in deep, if your house payment is over 50% of your income. It shouldn't be over 25%.

Then Bush came along and did away with down payment requirements to drive the final nail in the coffin the democrats had built.

17 times in 2007 alone, Bush adminstration warned Congress about Freddie and Fannie and were ignored. They tried over 72 times since 2001 to get some oversight. John McCain co-sponsered S-190 in 2005 to set up a regulatory agency. Frank and Dodd vehemently denied there were any problems and now that FOOL, Frank, sat up there and blamed the Bush adminstration and LACK of regulation! I couldn't believe my ears! They are lieing CROOKS!

This whole mess was because of political correctness and not be called racist and to buy democrat votes based on ideology of socialism.

There was a much predatory borrowing as there was lending. "liar" loans, loans with no visible means of repayment, down payments rolled into 2nd mortgages, etc. The whole system as it was set-up was just ripe for sleezy people to move in and in they did, but that was the exception. All those millions of loans were not predatory loans....just bad paper...written without regard to common sense banking rules that the feds forced them to suspend.l

    Stand your ground!

The elites are going to take us down anyway, so at least make your representatives sweat! You have to remember that there are a lot more of us than there are of them! Remember that there is strength in numbers! NEVER forget that!

They won't pass it without Republican support! They could have passed any bill they wanted. BUT, they are not about to do this without cover and when it fails, they have to have Republicans to blame.
