Once stigmatized, food stamps find acceptance

Local and federal governments now make efforts to attract working poor

People who are working should be paid enough TO EAT. The minimum wage seriously needs to go up in this country. The taxpayers are subsidizing employers who are too cheap to pay a living wage. They pocket the money they dont pay to workers while taxpayers make up the difference to the underpaid workers. So, in reality, welfare money is going straight to the pocket of CEO's who dont need it.

Right O. And don't forget the pockets of lots of over-paid government workers living off the dole of our burgeoning welfare-police state.
