America today is smeared and tarnished with dishonor.

For 1 example, Millions of people flagrantly flout US Laws and the Spirit of this nation...

and nothing happens to them. They disrespect America, and thereby dishonor America... and America just takes it and wallows in its shame before the eyes of the jeering world.

And please note: at the same time that America is treated shamefully, Americans are treated with equal contempt. That is, the fates of the nation as a whole mirrors that of the individual citizens who make it up.

Once upon a time, however, this country had an Honor Culture. You couldn't treat Americans with impunity and disrespect...

or there were legal and traditional ways of settling that dispute. Think of Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Think even of (relatively) recent remarks by former Sen. Zell Miller. You couldn't just run roughshod over an American, or there was recourse.

And, back in that day, America was strong, vibrant, and vigorous. It won its wars and forged on across a continent.

But today Americans have, collectively (which includes you), turned their backs on Honor Culture. Things which were once legal are now so illegal they cannot even be directly discussed...

Americans have turned away from Honor Culture...

and now, behold what Americans have turned to. Just look, open your eyes, behold what faces you now, instead of the Honor you have forsaken.

Americans today are more concerned with XBox's and video games than with their Honors and Reputations. They no longer act like Men of Honor, the trappings of Honor Culture have been proscribed by Law. In effect, which is all that matters, Honor is illegal (!).

By various hooks and wily crooks, Americans have been lured into a neurotic cyber dream world where they feel "empowered" when they realize that if anything makes them angry or stressed, they have the internal "power" to "let go" those "negative feelings" and regain their happiness...

(MS-13 is watching, btw...)

And now, today, with Honor made illegal...

lo and behold, Americans are treated dishonorably...

And America even more dishonorably. "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts" — but when the parts are wallowed in shame, the whole is just shamed all the more.

I make the following prediction: As sure as you have to start the engine before you can drive...

Americans will have to start acting with Honor before they regain their Honor — and before America regains her Honor.

That is, I predict, rightly or otherwise, that America will have to resurrect its Honor Culture BEFORE its Honor gets resurrected.

(Moreover, if you think about it for even a moment, isn't that kinda obvious??)
