There is a bill in the Senate that is attempting to keep torture alive as an interrogation technique. The National Defense Authorization Act is being debated in Congress and if passed, American citizens could be detained without a court hearing anywhere in the world. President Obama stated he will veto the bill if it should pass. Is Senate Bill 1867 threatening the US constitution? Paul Craig Roberts, former Reagan administration official and columnist, gives us his take on the proposed bill.

There is a bill in the US Senate called The National Defense Authorization Act that is being debated in Congress. The bill could give the president the power to imprison American citizens without a court hearing. President Obama has said he will veto the bill if it should pass. But how will Senate Bill 1867 affect Americans at home and abroad? Doctor Jeff Kaye, blogger and TruthOut Contributor, tells us what this could mean for Americans.

Since the war on terror began one of the worst atrocities happened this month ten years ago. The Dasht-e-Leili massacre was under the control of General Abdul Rashid Dostum, a US ally and Afghan warlord, who had been given control of thousands of Taliban prisoners by US forces. Witnesses say thousands suffocated to death after being packed into metal containers or were shot to death. Andrew McEntee, human rights lawyer, joins us to revisit the tragic event and discuss what really happened.

A decade ago an Afghan war lord took control of thousands of prisoners from US forces. While under the control of General Abdul Rashid Dostum, a US ally, witnesses say thousands suffocated to death after being crammed into metal containers or shot to death on the way to a prison near Sheberghan, Afghanistan. Did the US play a role in the matter? Nathaniel Raymond, former lead investigator for Physicians for Human Rights, visited the site twice and tells us what they found.
