Senator James Inhofe has revealed that Henry Paulson was behind the threats of martial law and a new great depression prior to the passage of the bailout bill, having made such warnings during a conference call on September 19th, around two weeks before the legislation was eventually approved by both the Senate and Congress.

As we reported at the time, on October 2, Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman gave a stunning speech on the House floor during which he decried the fact that, “Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no.â€

If these guys were smart, they'd start tape recording all of this stuff and then make damned sure those tapes hit the media.

It's not like these criminals and the treasonous insiders in DC would be able to do anything to THEM for it

I can't say what I am thinking ... I am so POed that the American People were threatened like this I have fire in my eyes

Why am I not surprised to see the Bush administration behind the threats. These people need to be brought up on charges of TREASON.

How dare they threaten to oppress the American public with marshal law if our elected officials refused to their extortion demands on behalf of their supply side buddies!?!?!

This has been evidently just another outrage against the American people, one of the thousands, some which we know of and some we do not.
