PHOENIX - Phoenix International Raceway will again host two NASCAR Sprint Cup races in 2011.

As part of NASCAR's schedule realignment, PIR's early race will move from April to February 27 - just one week after NASCAR's largest event, the Daytona 500.

The February race will occur on a Sunday with the flag falling at 1 p.m.

The second race is scheduled for Nov. 13 during the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

NASCAR will conclude its season the following week at Homestead Miami Speedway in Florida.

Phoenix International Raceway is one of just 13 NASCAR facilities to be awarded two Sprint Cup weekends in 2011.

I heard on Alex Jones that NASACARS ticket sales were WAY down due to the bad economy. Has anyone else noticed this?

I guess it depends on where you live. The Texas Motor Speedway is 5 miles North of me and the traffic on race days are the same. The numbers seem steady.

And James62, Montoya won because it was a road course. It confuses the white drivers when you throw in some right turns as well.
Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad you're here.
