Police name suspect in Vancouver shooting that left three men dead

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Vancouver police have named a suspect in a shooting that left three people dead and landed another in the hospital.

A murder warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Benjamin Vasquez-Salamanca. Police say he should be considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

Vasquez-Salamanca, who also goes by the names Benjermin Salamanca-Vazquez and Benjamin Salamanca, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

In addition to the murder warrant, Vasquez-Salamanca has an outstanding dangerous drug warrant for his arrest out of Multnomah County.

The shooting that Vasquez-Salamanca has been linked to happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 9600 block of Northeast 21st Street in Vancouver.

When officers arrived, they found four men had been shot. Louise Infante-Ramirez, 25, and Cesar Nunez-Ortiz, 20, both died of their injuries, as did a third person whose name is being withheld pending notification of family.

A fourth person was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries. Police said they are withholding his name for investigative purposes.

If you know where Vasquez-Salamanca is, police urge you to call 911 immediately. Again, he is considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached.
