Commissioners in one county considered whether the Confederate Flag will be flown outside of the courthouse next month on Confederate Flag Day.

No action was taken at Monday's Lenoir County Commissioners meeting, which means no new proclamation was signed. That means a Confederate Flag will not fly outside the courthouse on March 4, according to Chairman Craig Hill.

Seven people addressed the board on Monday evening. Each side argued that flying the flag on March 4 honors their ancestors' sacrifice.
