What do you think of Michelle Obama's $540 sneakers?

They're in poor taste. That's way too much to spend on sneakers, especially in a recession. 61%

Those shoes are tacky. Just like all of her other clothes. She has some butt-ugly things she wears. I swear, either she has a bad designer dressing her, or she just has UGLY taste. The clothes she wears look like rumage sale rejects.

It's in very bad taste, especially when U.S. Taxpayers are paying for those shoes.

I know she has one designer, it's the one who did the red and black number on the night he won.....and well, for the life of me, I haven't seen anything he (I think) has done I like. There was big boo-hoo in Chicago about going with a black designer, ethnic dress, on down the line. I don't care as long as she's comfortable. I'd hate to have that pressure of trying to please everyone. Something might be new and different and look good on me, but if I'm not comfortable, I can't pull it off. Don't remember anyone going through such heavy expectations except Hillary. Guess since so many were older, ouside of Jackie, they didn't expect them to be a fashion icon. I walk my dog in cut off old sweat pants and crocs and Bears sweatshirt. LOL Vogue, look out, here I come!

I honestly thought this was a joke. It's a slow news day when people are obsessed over shoes

I don't think taxpayers are paying for her wardrobe, and I remember that Jackie Kennedy nearly bankrupted father-in-law Joe with her hundreds of thousands in designer clothes each year. I am not sure if anything has changed, but at this point I think wardrobe is a personal expense. Probably even the puppy's collar and leash are a personal expense.

Maybe they were donated to her?

I would assume it's the Secret Service who cleans up the mess obama leaves behind wherever he goes.

After all......for all the talking out his rearend that he does, they'd have to be sure not just any old body might run off with top secret info stuck to the bottom of their shoe.
