Dr. David Pook is a professor at Granite State College and chair of the history department at the Derryfield School in Manchester, New Hampshire. He recently was announced at an event at New Hampshire Institute of Politics where he delved into his ties to Common Core. As one who had helped write the controversial Common Core State Standards, he informed a shocked audience that he was motivated to do so because he wanted to end “White privilege.”
“The reason why I helped write the standards and the reason why I am here today is that as a White male in society I am given a lot of privilege that I didn’t earn,” he said.
In the video posted by Campus Reform, the audience can be heard gasping and laughing, stunned by the comment that exposed the disturbing, left-wing racial motivations of Common Core propaganda.
As Campus Reform noted, the Derryfield School where Pook works does not use the Common Core State Standards and has a student body that is 91 percent white. His offensive remarks are also rather ironic since the “standards” implemented to end “White privilege” have been especially hard on Black and Hispanic students, who have seen their test scores plummet since the introduction of Common Core.



Pook’s role in crafting Common Core curriculum is documented at the pro-Common Core website, AchieveTheCore.com, which confirms that he “worked closely with Susan Pimentel and the Council of Chief State Officers in drafting the Core Standards for English Language Arts, and currently has several projects underway with Student Achievement Partners on work aligned with the CCSS.”
Somewhere along the way the concept of hard work has been rebranded as ‘White privilege’ and therefore then as something to be condemned. Dumbing down the country doesn’t help minorities succeed and treating minorities as if they are stupid and not actually capable of succeeding in modern society is insulting not only to them, but to reasonable and intelligent people of all races.
Successive liberal attempts to “save minorities from themselves” by attacking the successes and history of white people, as well as the United States and Western Civilization in general, have not succeeded. Indeed, it actually has produced the opposite effect by institutionally instilling perpetual victimhood, a sense of entitlement, and reliance on government handouts as a type of reparations for perceived past sins committed upon the ancestors of US minorities.
It is interesting to see Pook admit his role in crafting Common Core’s twisted version of American history that portrays Whites as evil and privileged, and minorities as victimized by them. The goal here is ideological indoctrination, not objective education, and the curriculum of Common Core is riddled with questionable and offensive material crafted by such anti-White, anti-Western, educators as Dr. David Pook.
In the long run such policies merely perpetuate the problems that minority populations do indeed face and does not offer them the opportunity to both individually and collectively improve their situation. The skills of entrepreneurship, personal responsibility, pride in educational achievement, economic independence, upward mobility, and the overall ability to successfully interact and succeed within the dominant culture are all necessary for minority and marginal communities to improve their lot. Our progressive overlords encourage only the opposite, as such concepts stand in direct and stark contrast to their chosen ideological beliefs and distorted view of history.
Common Core is the just the latest effort by Progressives to complete their total takeover of the educational system in the United States and to instill their overwhelming feelings of ‘white guilt’ in further generations. The endless mantra of white privilege merely perpetuates the concept that minorities (and blacks in particular) are incapable of success, functioning in a modern society, and being educated. And yet we know that is incorrect and is itself a racist viewpoint in reality and in results.
Our liberal friends have decided (despite their control of the nations educational system) that if they cannot bring minorities up to the performance of whites then they’ll collectively frustrate and dumb down the entire population to the lowest possible denominator in the name of fairness, equality, and the redress of past wrongs.

According to Onan Coca, "Dr. David Pook is a professor at Granite State College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He's also the chair of the History Department and one of the authors of the Common Core standards. He was a guest at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics when he opened up on his reasons for participating in the creation of the Common Core standards."

So what were his reasons? You are about to learn the motivation behind Common Core through one of its authors.
The truth is, not surprisingly to some, that Common Core is very racist and very political.
According to Dr. Pook, he helped write it to balance the scales because he, and many others, are benefiting from some mythical 'white privilege' that was not earned.
No, it's not about uniform and effective educational standards that benefit our children.
This is about a leftist agenda and yet another shining example of the trainwreck called political correctness.
Dr. Pook's startling admission is contained within the video below:

Common Core is not only about irrational and bizarre math problems as some might think. Make no mistake, this program is about indoctrinating our children into a leftist way of thinking which includes destructive ideas such as the embracing of Islam and normalizing sexual promiscuity.
Is it any wonder that states are rejecting and suing the federal government over Common Core?
Common Core is just another weapon in the leftist war on our children.
