Proposed Amendment 28 to the US Constitution!

"Congress shall make no law that applies to any citizen of the United States that does not apply equally to all US Senators and Representatives and Congress shall make no law that applies to any US Senator or Representative that does not apply equally to all citizens of the United States . All existing laws and regulations that do not meet these criteria shall be declared null and void!"

They really aren't self serving. Look at the ammount of money that is required to run for office. It is obscene. Exactly! it's about serving the big money donors who got them elected! That's who they serve! When it costs half a billion dollars to run for the POTUS, you can bet their is corruption and cronyism involved!

The word Plutocracy keeps coming to mind....

The answer, I believe, is federal funding of all federal elections. Once campaign funding and lobby money are taken out of the equation we will have a much more honest system. It would also open the door for more Independents and third party candidates to run. Also, current incumbents should not be able to touch one dime of their campaign funds for anything but campaigning. If they leave office, the money should go to charity, the party, or to the country.

Well, how about returning unspent funds to the constituency?

Yes lobbying is a big problem, and should be stopped all together. That is where the special interest money comes from.

Strict term limits for public servants so it will help cut down on corruption. And no ties to any post political groups. They have to return to private citizenry, and either run a business, or work for a company. This is to help prevent corruption, though there is no foolproof way to stop it.

Also, stop this entangling alliance "bs" that the framers warned about.
