    The other alternative is enforcing our immigration laws and hiring American citizens and legal immigrants. These people who may currently be unemployed or under employed and now relying on various forms of public transfer payments. If we legalize the illegal aliens our own poor will still be here. With a legalization policy our own poor would still need public support and the former illegal aliens would then be eligible to receive the full panopoly of services as well. This would be an unmitigated disaster for our middle class.
