Rep. Blake Moore says take my name off the FairTax Act Bill
Good News!
See:
Utah Republican withdraws cosponsorship of GOP tax plan amid nonstop Dem attacks
"The so-called "Fair Tax" plan being pushed by some House Republicans is facing even steeper hurdles to passage now that one of its cosponsors has withdrawn his support."
Why is this good news you ask? I say so because of what the FairTax would do if adopted.
If the FAIRTAX ACT were passed into law it:
creates two new tax collecting agencies, an “Excise Tax Bureau” and the “Sales Tax Bureau", in addition to keeping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms alive, which will also be collecting taxes.
Imposes the new 23% “FairTax” on American citizens and businesses while Congress’ power to lay and collect taxes on “incomes” remains fully intact;
requires taxpayers to file Fair Tax returns twelve times a year;
requires ordinary working people to register with government in order to exercise a fundamental right of mankind . . . selling the property each has in their own labor;
requires ordinary people to become tax collectors for government;
requires taxpayers to keep whatever records Congress may dream up;
allows Congress to lay and collect countless “excise taxes” which members of Congress may dream up, and could be calculated from profits, gains and other incomes;
creates a new entitlement, the “Family Consumption Allowance” [a monthly government check sent to every “qualified family” in the U.S.] that would become another political partisan wedge-issue used during election time to buy votes in addition to making an enormously large segment of those who vote extremely dependent upon government to access their monthly necessities of life.
Why on earth would any politician, especially a conservative leader after studying the proposed legislation, support this dastardly evil proposal which would enlarge and strengthen the federal government’s iron fisted taxing grip around the American peoples’ necks?

Even the Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board, misrepresents the FairTax Act.
.
See: The GOP's Fair Tax Masochism
Seems that the nitwittery, or perhaps laziness by the WSJ’s Editorial Board, is a common characteristic of today’s popular media.The plan is called the Fair Tax and its premise is simple: Replace every existing federal tax with a new national tax on sales.
As documented HERE, the FAIRTAX ACT would not "Replace every existing federal tax with a new national tax on sales”, nor does the legislation remotely suggest it would. So why is this factually inaccurate representation constantly being asserted about the FairTax by our popular media outlets?
This same misrepresentation was constantly reported in the 1990s when the fair tax was introduced. And it was totally false then as it is now. So why has it been misrepresented all these years [about 25 years], and continues, to this very date, to be misrepresented by our mainstream media?
Something very suspicious seems to be afoot when our popular media act in concert and falsely report, for so many years, that the FairTax would "Replace every existing federal tax with a new national tax on sales."

A fluff article from FORBES on the FairTax, H.R.25
Here is an interesting article from Forbes on the “FairTax”, which is suspiciously and woefully void of its actual provisions that document its evil expansion of powers connected to raising a federal revenue.
SEE: Fair Tax Combines Flawed Policy With Terrible Politics
"Contrary to Senate Leader Chuck Schumer’s allegations, House Republicans are not going to pass a national sales tax. Fair Tax supporters don’t need to be totally disappointed though, as many states have made progress in adopting and moving toward..."

When Federal Reserve Notes were made a legal tender in violation of our Constitution, and a direct un-apportioned tax was imposed upon the people without their consent, America’s free enterprise, free market system was subjugated, and the tools of oppression were made available to some very immoral and nefariously evil people.

Rep. Buddy Carter avoids addressing big problems with the FairTax
.
I see Rep. Buddy Carter has yet to address a number of very real concerns should the FairTax Act be adopted.
Although Buddy Carter presents a piece titled Myth v. Fact: The FairTax Act, nowhere does he address how the proposed legislation would actually increase the federal government’s taxing capabilities, and cause more miseries for the American people then they now suffer under the current evil system of taxation, if the FairTax were adopted and are listed HERE
The only reasonable explanation I can think of as to why Rep. Buddy Carter has latched onto the so-called FairTax is, that he has not studied the text of the Bill himself and is relying on one or more of his lazy staff members representations of H.R. 25 which they may have gotten from the propaganda and misrepresentations found at the fairtax web site, or in the fair tax book authored by Neal Boortz and Congressman John Linder, both of whom have done a disservice to working for real tax reform.

Democrats continue to make crap up about the FairTax Act
.
See: Democrats Misleadingly Suggest Widespread GOP Support for FairTax Bill Unlikely to Become Law
It seems to me the only Republicans who support the FairTax Act are those who have not studied the proposed legislation; those who embrace enlarging Congress' taxing capabilities, or total nitwits.

There is no “humanitarian crisis” at our southern border as erroneously reported on Fox News. It is an outright invasion of the United States, intentionally orchestrated and perpetuated by the leadership of our tyrannical federal government which includes traitorous, judges, legislators, and our current president of the United States.

What is the Fair Tax Act?
Here is another deceptive article about the FairTax Act.
See:
What is the Fair Tax Act? Republicans propose national sales tax
"Members of the GOP in the House are pushing for a chamber debate on radical new tax proposals that would slash funding to the IRS."
.
Of course, the article avoids listing how, if adotped, it consolidates more authoritarian taxing power in the hands of our federal government, e.g it.:
creates two new tax collecting agencies, an “Excise Tax Bureau” and the “Sales Tax Bureau", in addition to keeping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms alive, which will also be collecting taxes.
Imposes the new 23% “FairTax” on American citizens and businesses while Congress’ power to lay and collect taxes on “incomes” remains fully intact;
requires taxpayers to file Fair Tax returns twelve times a year;
requires ordinary working people to register with government in order to exercise a fundamental right of mankind . . . selling the property each has in their own labor;
requires ordinary people to become tax collectors for government;
requires taxpayers to keep whatever records Congress may dream up;
allows Congress to lay and collect countless “excise taxes” which members of Congress may dream up, and could be calculated from profits, gains and other incomes;
creates a new entitlement, the “Family Consumption Allowance” [a monthly government check sent to every “qualified family” in the U.S.] that would become another political partisan wedge-issue used during election time to buy votes in addition to making an enormously large segment of those who vote extremely dependent upon government to access their monthly necessities of life.
Why is our popular media so negligent in not reporting how the “FairTax Act” is really designed, to strengthen the federal government’s iron fisted taxing powers?

Democrat leadership lies about Republican support for the FairTax Act
.
See: FactCheck.org Calls Out Biden and Dems for Lying About “FAIR Tax” Viability
1/30/23
FactCheck.org has called out President Biden, Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrats lying about the viability of the “Fair Tax,” a 30% national sales tax (not even including state and local sales taxes) that would create a new entitlement program and lead to a European-style Value Added Tax:
The bottom line is, as confirmed by the above article, the FairTax Act is a very, very bad idea and would enlarge our federal Governments taxing capabilities and it certainly does not have “Widespread GOP Support”.
In fact, there is only a handful of Republicans who support the alleged FairTax.
The only reasonable explanation I can think of as to why Rep. Buddy Carter has latched onto the so-called FairTax is, that he has not studied the text of the Bill himself and is relying on one or more of his lazy staff members representations of H.R. 25 which they may have gotten from the propaganda and misrepresentations found at the fairtax web site, or in the fair tax book authored by Neal Boortz and Congressman John Linder, both of whom have done a disservice to working on real tax reform.
