So as of this evening almost all of the news reporting was wrong. Mueller didn't order the raid of Cohen's home, hotel room and office. FBI didn't order the raid. The US Attorney for the Southern District of New York didn't order the raid.
Rob Rosenstein ordered the raid.
Why in the world would Rosenstein set himself up for such a dud about a civil matter being handled by other courts?!! The US attorney in New York recused himself wanting nothing to do with it. Wray didn't have anything to do with it, his FBI Director job reports to Rosenstein so he just does or has his FBI do what Rosenstein orders. In this case, I don't even think Mueller had much to do with it, he refers a rumor from the women, and says hey this isn't our job but if someone else wants to look into it, there might be something there unrelated to our mission. This is Rosenstein reeling towards the cliff, just like he did when he appointed a Special Counsel himself to begin this whole charade over a firing of James Comey that he recommended, wasting all this taxpayer money, investigating a pure hoax to try to take down the President, which is the complete opposite of what Attorney Generals and Deputy Attorney Generals are paid to do. They are paid to uphold the Constitution and protect the duly elected certified President of the United States from political witch hunts, they are not paid to wage them.
I'm beginning to think Rosenstein is unstable. He reminds me of Barney Fife.
Look at the illogical actions:
1. He convinces Sessions we need a Special Counsel.
2. He convinces Sessions to recuse so he Rosenstein can appoint the Special Counsel.
3. He appoints a Special Counsel to investigate the Russia Hoax because Trump fired Comey, even though Rosenstein had recommended Comey be fired.
4. He appoints a Special Counsel to investigate the Russia Hoax to look for campaign collusion with Russia which even if there was collusion is not a crime.
5. He indicts 13 Russians over Facebook ads that had nothing to do with Trump or the Trump Campaign, indictments that will never be prosecuted and thus never shown to be valid or invalid, because there is no extradition agreement with Russia.
6. He expands the role of the Russia Hoax to include tax fraud and money laundering to try and prosecute Gates and Manafort for something they were investigated years earlier about and there wasn't enough proof to indict let alone win a case.
7. He starts a new investigation against Trump's attorney, Cohen, but has to force Berman to recuse to even order the raid.
8. He orders the raid because no one else will.
9. He raids and doesn't find anything so is asking for information from Cohen's attorney AFTER the raid. And yes, they did break-in, because the warrant was a no-knock warrant, so when Trump accuses them of breaking in, he's absolutely right, because that's what you do to get inside locked homes, hotel room doors and offices early in the morning without knocking.
In my opinion, as harmful as it is to our country and citizens, Trump just needs to let Rosenstein keep driving himself over the cliff, because when the public and swamp learn all the details of what is actually going on here, even they will turn on him, and he'll crash and burn at the bottom of the cliff.
One does have to wonder why when the Cohen matter has nothing to do with the Russia investigation, why Sessions wasn't involved in this and why he allowed Rosenstein to order such a raid to investigate a matter that is already in the courts with the lawsuit. My guess and hope is that Rosenstein was acting on his own to deal with the referral from Mueller and Sessions didn't know anything about it until he saw on TV like the rest of us.
It's all truly the most bizarre thing in the world. But I would give him all the rope he needs to hang himself. And that may be exactly what Trump and Sessions are doing.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

rosenstein seems to be part of the impeach trump crew - undercover. He blatantly lied with noticeable voice, speech mannerisms that he would not let mueller go to any other areas than russian collusion. Fire him!
To pull this number, interfering with personal matters & client-lawyer matters shows what a hypocrite he is in accepting, being paid for his job. It is subversive activity to plot and plan the unnecessary take down of a president. It IS an attack on the US because trump is the sitting president. schumer can make fun, it is not 911 etc because he is a jerk and part of impeach trump too. Always working against in every way.
Larry Sinclair, obama's proposed back seat number is jealous stormy is getting all this attention & future earning monies with her websites, tv appearances etc. trump should fire him - have jeff sessions fire him. Who cares @ trump's risky life style - a rich New Yorker with entertainment world ties, the women fell all over him his whole life. Does he act like a jerk - yes. He certainly likes falsified bodies on women and has told some in the past to get a breast job. Am not surprised, am surprised he got the Evangelicals vote. Nothing new in men with power. Wondering why cohen told the nyt @ the payment?

Devin Nunes Threatens to Impeach DOJ’s Rod Rosenstein and FBI’s Chris Wray
By Graham Lanktree On 4/11/18 at 4:41 AM

updated | The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee says he is prepared to impeach the head of the FBI and Deputy Attorney General if he doesn’tget a two-page document he says prompted the Russia investigation.“Just the fact that they're not giving this to us tells me there's something wrong here,” California Republican Representative Devin Nunes told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on the The Ingraham Angle Tuesday night.
“I can tell you that we're not just going to hold in contempt, we will have a plan to hold in contempt and to impeach,” Nunes told Ingraham, who asked what his committee would do to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein if they don’t bow to his demand.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, the Republican from California, speaks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at National Harbor, Maryland, on February 24. Nunes says says he is prepared to impeach if he doesn’t get a document he says prompted the Russia investigation.

I just love this guy, Devin Nunes. He's as cool as they get. Wish he was more on our side on immigration, but he's from that famous San Joaquin Valley in California which is a huge farming area and everyone hires illegal aliens to work the farms and by now probably most of the businesses, so he's sort of boxed in on our issue, but he can help us on other important issues and look what's he done as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes is draining the swamp.

deadline is today 4/11/18 for rosenstein to cough up the docs. Wifey could be involved too - obama REWROTE large portions of the FISA rules in his last 70days. Samantha Powers one a day changed.
Want trump to rewrite some rules-acts-memos w/o approvals from congress, just like obama wrote daca and changed the fisa rules. trump needs to use his pen more on border issues.
Nunes demands original document that prompted Russia investigation

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) is demanding the original FBI document that outlines the bureau's reasoning for opening a counterintelligence investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign's alleged connections to Russia.
His deadline for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI to provide the unredacted document is April 11. In a letter sent Wednesday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray, Nunes threatened to take legal action if the agencies do not comply, noting that the committee issued subpoenas in August that "remain in force."
According to Nunes, the previous response to his request was a "heavily redacted version" of the document, which Nunes called "unsatisfactory."
Nunes also requested unrestricted access to four Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications the DOJ used to obtain a warrant to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The application was at the center of a controversial committee memo written by Nunes and the panel's Republican majority that claimed the DOJ had improperly obtained the warrant by using information contained in a salacious dossier of opposition research on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Republicans have declared the House committee's investigation into Russian interference concluded without evidence of collusion by the Trump campaign. Some Democrats on the committee have said they will continue the investigation.

Raid on Trump’s Lawyer Sought Records on ‘Access Hollywood’ Tape
By MAGGIE HABERMAN, MATT APUZZO and MICHAEL S. SCHMIDTAPRIL 11, 2018

The F.B.I. agents who raided the office and hotel of President Trump’s lawyer on Monday were seeking all records related to the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Mr. Trump was heard making vulgar comments about women, according to three people who have been briefed on the contents of a federal search warrant.
The search warrant also sought evidence of whether the lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, tried to suppress damaging information about Mr. Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.
It is not clear what role, if any, Mr. Cohen played regarding the tape, which was made public a month before the election. But the fact that the agents were seeking documents related to the tape reveals a new front in the investigation into Mr. Cohen that is being led by the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan.
The disclosure comes a day after it was revealed that the authorities also sought documents from Mr. Cohen related to payments made to two women who claim they had affairs with Mr. Trump, Karen McDougal and Stephanie Clifford, as well as information on the role of the publisher of The National Enquirer in silencing the women.
The new details from the warrant reveal that prosecutors are keenly interested in Mr. Cohen’s unofficial role in the Trump campaign. And they help explain why Mr. Trump was furious about the raid. People close to Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen regard the warrant as an attempt by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, to pry into Mr. Trump’s personal life — using other prosecutors as his proxy.
Mr. Mueller’s spokesman declined to comment.
Stephen Ryan, a lawyer for Mr. Cohen, referred to his earlier description of the raid as “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” He has described it as an overreach by prosecutors into the privileged communications between Mr. Cohen and his client, Mr. Trump.
Mr. Cohen served as part fixer, part attack dog for Mr. Trump. He has acknowledged paying $130,000 to Ms. Clifford, a pornographic film actress known as Stormy Daniels, who said she had a sexual encounter with Mr. Trump. She signed a nondisclosure agreement, promising not to discuss the matter. Agents also sought documents related to deals with other women.
Federal prosecutors are investigating Mr. Cohen for possible bank fraud, but they are also scrutinizing whether these efforts amounted to improper campaign donations to Mr. Trump.
Mr. Trump, who had been planning to make a decision this week about whether to sit down with the special counsel for an interview, has taken a more adversarial tone toward Mr. Mueller since the warrant was executed on Monday. Although he had said for months that he wanted to be questioned by Mr. Mueller, his stance has changed since Monday, and the prospect of him willingly being questioned is far less likely, according to two people briefed on the matter.

Isn't that just unbelievable? A tape that was aired, the whole world heard it, and US DOJ is raiding a lawyer's home, office and hotel room looking for information about it? Rosenstein is insane. RAID NBC and the Washington Post, they're the ones who used it to try to elect Hillary Clinton. THAT is where the campaign finance law may have been violated, not the victim of such a despicable thing as releasing a private conversation while Trump was on a job for NBC, protected by all types of contract provisions dealing with private statements in dressing rooms, sets, and buses. Is this how you treat your workers and contractors NBC? Or just those who happen to run for President on an Agenda you don't like and you want to exploit it to flip the election??!!!

Just to make it clear, I do not support the raid on Trump's lawyer's office because it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Russian collusion probe.
