Saudis net 101 terror suspects

Saudi Arabia, March 24 (UPI) -- Saudi authorities said Wednesday they have arrested 101 people and seized caches of weapons and other equipment in connection with plots to attack the kingdom.

"The competent authorities were successful to capture key elements who built a network mostly of expatriates and the misguided, including suicide bombers, set to carry out attacks in the Kingdom and target national facilities and security personnel," the Saudi Press Agency said Wednesday. "The security operations of arresting the members of this network also resulted in seizing weapons, ammunition, cameras, computers, communication equipment, several pre-paid phone cards, cash and various documents."

Two cells affiliated with terror groups in Yemen were intercepted and disrupted. In total, 47 Saudis, 51 Yemenis, one Somali, one Bangladeshi and one Eritrean were arrested.
