Schneider National Inc. said Monday that it is hiring 300 new truck drivers in its growing dedicated and bulk (tanker) divisions to serve oil drilling areas of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Green Bay-based Schneider is specifically looking for drivers to serve the areas of Alice, Laredo, Victoria, Midland and San Antonio, Texas, and the Oklahoma regions of Elk City and El Reno. In addition, drivers are being sought in the Hobbs, N.M., area. Drivers will use either dry hopper tankers to deliver products into, or liquid tankers hauling condensate from, the oil extraction areas.

The trucking firm said driver pay can range from $40,800 to $60,500 per year depending on experience and the specific account served.

The company's growth in the area is fueled by new, booming business with leading energy companies in the oil industry, Schneider National said in a press release. With $3.1 billion in annual revenue, Schneider is the largest privately held truckload carrier in North America. The company said it is also hiring drivers and leasing owner-operators in its regional, over the road and intermodal fleets.
