It wasn't God telling him to gun down the people this morning. And if Flanagan was really interested in retaliation for the Charleston shootings, he would try and get at Dylan Roof, not 3 innocent people on the morning news. Flanagan is, or was, no better than Roof in that he suffered from raving, lunatic racism himself. If he hadn't taken the coward's way and killed himself he would probably be hailed a hero by the likes of Sharpton and Jackson, professional race baiters #1 and #2. Of course, they may still demand a statue be built in his honor at taxpayer expense. Nothing surprises me anymore. Nothing.

It's just terrible. Absolutely awful. My heart breaks for Alyson and Adam, their families and loved ones, friends and co-workers. I pray for the lady who survived and hope she recovers well.

In his 23-page fax to ABC News, Vester Flanagan wrote that the racism behind the Charleston church shooting prompted him to gun down WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward on Wednesday Morning.

In the fax, the write says “MY NAME IS BRYCE WILLIAMS” and added that his legal name is Vester Lee Flanagan II.
“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15..,” ABC reported.

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them,” he added, ABC reported.

It is unclear who’s initials Mr. Flanagan is referring to.

He added that Jehovah spoke to him after the Charleston shooting, telling him to act.

“As for Dylann Roof? You [expletive]! You want a race war [expletive]? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …[expletive]!!!” He wrote in the fax, referring to the white shooter who gunned down nine black churchgoers in Charleston in June, ABC reported.

Calling it his “Suicide Note for Friends and Family,” Mr. Flanagan wrote that he had suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work and that he wanted to feel peace when he left the world.

“The church shooting was the tipping point… but my anger has been building steadily… I’ve been a human powder keg for a while… just waiting to go and BOOM!!!” he wrote, ABC reported.

Mr. Flanagan allegedly shot and killed Ms. Parker and Mr. Ward while they were filming a live broadcast from Bridgewater Plaza near Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia. A woman being interviewed, Vicki Gardner, executive director of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce was injured.

Mr. Flanagan was chased by police and later shot himself and died in the hospital.

In my opinion, he is using Charleston as an excuse for his own racism and hate. Now, I am sure that the apologist media will make excuses for his insanity and hate. JMO

'Human Powder Keg': 'Suicide Note' Claims Discrimination Fueled Live TV Attack

by ERIN MCCLAM and TRACY CONNOR

WDBJ Shooting Suspect Dead of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound 4:50

A man claiming to be the gunman in the Virginia TV news shootings wrote in a chilling letter that he was pushed "over the top" by the Charleston church massacre and expressed admiration for the killers from Virginia Tech and Columbine.

In a 23-page fax to ABC News and a follow-up call, both after the attack, the man identified himself as Vester Flanagan and as Bryce Williams. He said he suffered racial discrimination and bullying at work and was attacked for being a black and gay.

"The church shooting was the tipping point," he wrote, according to ABC News, "but my anger has been building steadily ... I've been a human powder keg for a while ... just waiting to go BOOM!!!!"

ABC said the fax arrived about two hours after a reporter and cameraman were shot to death on live television Wednesday morning in Moneta, Virginia. The gunman killed himself later while he was being chased by authorities.

The sheriff identified the killer as Flanagan, a former TV news reporter himself who went by Bryce Williams on-air. The Virginia station, WDBJ, said he was "difficult to work with" and was fired for anger problems.

Killed were reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27. The woman Parker was interviewing, local businesswoman Vicki Gardner, was shot and was in stable condition after surgery.

The shots were fired during a remote segment on WDBJ's morning show. As he fell, Ward captured an image of the gunman.

Flanagan, 41, recorded video of the shootings as posted them to his Facebook and Twitter accounts hours later, while he was being pursued by law enforcement. Those accounts were quickly taken down.

ABC it turned the letter over to authorities immediately. The network said the person who sent it called later in the morning, confessed to shooting two people, said the authorities were after him, and hung up.

In the letter, which ABC described as rambling, the man wrote that he put a deposit down for a gun on June 19, two days after the killings in Charleston. He mentioned Charleston shooter Dylann Roof's desire for a race war.

He expressed admiration for Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the killers from Columbine High School in 1999, and for Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people at Virginia Tech in 2007.

In one part of the document, the man described it as a "suicide note for friends and family." He also wrote that he had been sexually harassed and attacked by black men and white women.

Flanagan had a long and troubled career on air at local television affiliates around the United States.

In 2000, he was let go by WTWC, the NBC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. The station said, which stopped airing newscasts that year, said it was downsizing. Flanagan sued in state court, alleging discrimination.

In the suit, Flanagan alleged he was called a "monkey" by a producer, and that a supervisor said Flanagan was an "exception" among African-Americans because "blacks are lazy and do not take advantage of free money.

Former Coworker: Vester Lee Flanagan 'Always Good-Natured, Always Joking' 2:34

WTWC denied the claims, and it accused him of profanity and "misbehavior with regards to coworkers." The court files have been purged but were reposted by the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper on Wednesday.

The general manager of WDBJ, Jeff Marks, said on the station's noon newscast Wednesday that Flanagan had a reputation of "being difficult to work with" and was fired because of anger problems.

Marks said Flanagan was fired after "many incidents of his anger coming forward" and was escorted from the building by police. He worked at WDBJ for less than a year, from March 2012 to February 2013.

After the shooting, during the police pursuit, Flanagan posted on social media that Parker, the reporter, had made racist comments and that Ward, the cameraman, had spoken to human resources about him after working with him just one time.

He was a seriously messed up individual. Now the media will make excuses for him...

ABC: Gunman who murdered journalists apparently sent fax blaming Charleston shooting, mistreatment as black gay man

POSTED AT 3:21 PM ON AUGUST 26, 2015
    BY ALLAHPUNDIT

Someone claiming to be “Bryce Williams” called ABC News over the past few weeks, before the shooting, asking if he could pitch a story and fax them some information but never did. The shooting in Virginia happened at 6:46 a.m. this morning. A little later, a 23-page fax timestamped 8:26 a.m. ET arrived at ABC News, followed some 90 minutes after that by another call from “Bryce” claiming that his real name was Vester Lee Flanagan, the same as the man accused of murdering Alison Parker and Adam Ward.

No hard proof yet that the man who sent the fax was in fact the shooter, but c’mon. If you’re interested in what might be rattling around a degenerate’s mind as he lay in wait preparing to shoot two people in cold blood, convinced that God himself had told him to act, here you go. From the fax:

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, “As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …(deleted)!!!” He said Jehovah spoke to him, telling him to act.

Later in the manifesto, the writer quotes the Virginia Tech mass killer, Seung Hui Cho, and calls him “his boy,” and expresses admiration for the Columbine High School killers. “Also, I was influenced by Seung–Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got…just sayin’…

–He says has suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work. –He says he has been attacked by black men and white females. –He talks about how he was attacked for being a gay, black man.
“The church shooting was the tipping point,” he wrote, “but my anger has been building steadily,” comparing himself to a “human powder keg.” He claims he put down a deposit on a gun on June 19, just two days after the massacre in Charleston. If that’s true, notes Charles Cooke, it likely means Flanagan bought his gun from a licensed dealer, which means he passed a background check. But wait: Can it be that a man who thought “Jehovah” was urging him on to kill had showed no signs of mental illness before today? Nope, according to sources quoted by the NYT. Flanagan was apparently a volatile presence at work with a history of “bizarre” behavior:

At WDBJ, Mr. Williams “quickly gathered a reputation as someone who was difficult to work with,” [general manager Jeffrey] Marks said.

“He was sort of looking out for people to say things that he could take offense to,” Mr. Marks said. “Eventually, after many incidents of his anger coming to the fore, we dismissed him. He did not take that well, and we had to call the police to escort him from the building.”…

“He was a good on-air performer, pretty good reporter, and then things started getting a little strange with him,” Don Shafer, who worked with Mr. Williams at WTWC, said in a broadcast on the station where he now works in San Diego. He said Mr. Williams’ contract had been terminated, in part, because of bizarre behavior and threats to other employees.
He sued both news outlets for racial discrimination but the complaints went nowhere, said Marks, because no one could corroborate the anti-black and/or anti-gay comments allegedly made to him. Makes me wonder, per the tidbit in the excerpt above, if “Jehovah’s” wasn’t the only phantom voice Flanagan ever heard.

Via Mediaite, here’s a WDBJ bio video of Alison Parker posted just last month. Spend a few minutes acquainting yourself with one of the victims, who always get short shrift in the frenzy after a shooting to better understand the killer. Cooke notes that the fact that Flanagan knew Cho Seung-Hui, Eric Harris, and Dylan Klebold by name may itself have impelled him onward to kill. Mass murder is, after all, an act by which losers transform grievance into media glory. Also, if you’re one of the few people who hasn’t yet seen either the WDBJ footage of the shooting or Flanagan’s own depraved recording of it: First, I congratulate you sincerely on your restraint, and second, I can further discourage you from watching by telling you that the clips are more “fear porn” than “gore porn.” I saw the WDBJ clip before we knew anyone had been shot; it started circulating on Twitter early this morning as a sort of “what the hell happened here?” thing, not as a snuff video. You can’t tell that anyone’s been hit, which led me to think that Parker and Ward had inadvertently picked up the sound of gunshots that were close by but not aimed at them. Flanagan’s own video popped up on social media around 90 minutes after everyone learned what had happened. I clicked it, admittedly, out of pure “this can’t possibly be what I think it is” prurience, and it’s excruciating. Again, no blood, but something worse — the agony of watching a killer stalk his victims, literally within arm’s length for 10 seconds or so, before he pulls the gun and fires. What you come away with from both is the sound of Alison Parker screaming in mortal terror in what you know are the last few moments of her life. It’s a waking nightmare. Resist if you can.

License plate reader technology picked up Virginia shooter’s car

    By James Rogers
    Published August 26, 2015 FoxNews.com

NOW PLAYINGLicense plate reader identifies news crew attacker's vehicle

License plate reader technology picked up Vester Lee Flanagan’s car after he shot and killed two TV journalists in Virginia early on Wednesday.

A license plate reader in the vehicle of Virginia State Trooper Pamela Neff picked up Flanagan’s Chevrolet on Interstate 66 at approximately 11:20 a.m. ET.

During a press conference Neff explained that the car was quickly identified after she entered its details into her license plate reader.

"As soon as it was entered, it came up with a positive hit that that vehicle just passed me less than three minutes earlier," she said. "I let my dispatch know that the vehicle has passed me and I attempted to catch up with the vehicle, which was travelling eastbound on 66."

State Police initiated a traffic stop but Flanagan, who also went by the name Bryce Williams, refused to stop and a few minutes later his vehicle ran off the road and crashed. Officers approached the vehicle but found Flanagan with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at 1:26 p.m. ET.

“Technology picked it up,” explained Sgt. Rick Garletts of the Virginia State Police, during a press conference Wednesday. “Once a license plate is entered into the system, that reader will be able to identify that license plate when it passes.”

“License plate readers are a great tool,” he added. “It helped in that case to identify that vehicle.”

Garletts explained that the license plate reader is not state specific, so, after the license plate has been noticed, the trooper has to identify the vehicle to ensure that it is the one police are looking for.

License plate readers, which use image processing technology, can be mounted on police cars or roadside structures such as bridges.

A growing number of technologies are available to help law enforcement, from sticky darts that enable GPS tracking of suspects’ vehicles to high-tech LED flashlights.
