According to what is reported, he was able to see the security video on his device. However, that was showing what happened 20 minutes earlier. If he was in contact with the office, they were also looking at the past!

That may be YOUR PROCEDURE, but many police departments have different procedures.

That doesn't mean the officer didn't have a radio. Unless things have changed, pretty much all resource officers carry a radio for communications with office personal.

No, that's not "my" procedure. It's a nationwide deal that was devised as a result of the horrific mistakes made at the Columbine mass shooting. This has already been covered in several other posts.

Deputy Peterson had a radio, the students who saw him behind the column at the stairwell saw him talking on the radio to someone.

And were those office personnel watching a 20 minute delayed security monitor and reporting what they saw, or did they have real-time intel?

That does not mean every department instructs their officers the same.

Those people as you call them could clearly hear the gunshots and knew full-well there was a shooter in the school.

Yes, it's supposedly the new protocol nationally for all law enforcement. That means it is standard operating procedure from South Dakota to Florida for federal, state, local, and county law enforcement personnel. That is not difficult to understand because as each minute passes during a mass shooter situation, more bodies pile up for transport to the morgue. You can't just sit outside while the bodies pile up inside.
