Ted Cruz gave the best response to a powerful Hollywood producer who announced that he would be directing a movie targeting gun rights. He is direct, on point, but measured, and reasonable.

On Wednesday, Harvey Weinstein let it slip on the Howard Stern show that the movie would take the NRA head on:

I don’t think we need guns in this country. And I hate it, and I think the NRA is a disaster area and I’m gonna actually make a movie – I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll tell it to you, Howard. I’m gonna make a movie with Meryl Streep and we’re gonna take this issue head-on. And they’re gonna wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.

As Ted Cruz points out, Hollywood is all too happy to make millions while glorifying gun violence, including many well-known films that Weinstein himself has produced. To add to this hypocrisy, these gun-grabbing entertainment elites live in gated communities while trying to take away any chance a poor, single mother might have to defend herself in less affluent neighborhoods.

Ted eloquently points out that every time these leftists make partisan propaganda, they are always disasters at the box office because they just don’t represent the views of most Americans.

We look forward to laughing at Weinstein’s failed attempt to thwart our constitutional rights.
