A 13-year-old girl who has been missing since last month was found Monday, and a 25-year-old man accused of abducting her and statutory rape was arrested Tuesday.

Burlington police have been looking for the girl since she was last seen at her home at 6:40 a.m. July 28. She was found at home Monday, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

When she was reported missing, family members thought she might be with her boyfriend Carlos Roberto Candelario, 25, of Fix Street, Burlington. After receiving an anonymous tip about Candelario's location, police arrested him and charged him with first-degree statutory rape and abduction of a child. He is in Alamance County jail under $100,000 bond, the release states.
