Is this Wall Street Bailout the Last Straw for You?

Well we have a chance to do something about it this November, on Election Day. The people of Pennsylvania showed us the way.

Last year, Pennsylvania residents learned that their legislature--Republicans and Democrats--had connived in the middle of the night to give themselves a raise in violation of the state constitution, which said raises could only be given to the next cycle of elected officials, not to those who were voting. They got around this by declaring the increases "undocumented expense reimbursements."

The citizenry rose up and in a leaderless grassroots campaign, they swept out off office many long-time members of the legislature who had voted for the measure, as well as a judge who backed the action (the state's judges get whatever the legislators get)!

If Pennsylvania voters can do this, so can the rest of America.

If you are fed up with having your money (and your kids' money, and their kids' money!) stolen and handed to the greedy, crooked bankers, insurance executives and auto tycoons who have been destroying jobs and undermining the US economy for years while enriching themselves at our expense, then make a pledge to yourself to vote against any member of your congressional delegation, whatever the party, who votes for this latest colossal $700-billion Wall Street bailout!

Vote for a third party candidate, or vote for the incumbent's challenger (a better option if you really want to oust him or her).

No exceptions! It doesn't matter of your senator or representative has done some good things. Voting for this bailout is a travesty that outweighs any other act.

Can pay cuts happen for Congress? There is a first for everything. And then there is the never ending cost of Congress.

The Congress works just a few short weeks out of the year.... and heaven knows with those crooks... even eight weeks is too long.

I am all for giving them their annual salary with the promise they will never convene again !!!!

I would like to see these congress people make a minum wage like we have too. They say we can live on what they think we can live on, but, yet they are making hundreds of thousands dollars a year.

koobster, that is their salary.... it is what the lobbyists pay them for ripping off the american people, which goes far beyond our financial imagination.

Just think of John McCain, who has no clue how many houses he owns or how many cars he owns and thinks middle America is someone who makes less then $700,000. per year?

Do you know how many houses and cars you own? Better yet, do you know how many houses and cars you are struggling each month to pay on, that you don't own?

I heard on Fox that back in 1991 & 1992 Barney Frank, Dodd, and several other Democrat Senators, along with President Clinton, got together and pushed the mortgage banks, and mortgage companies
to give mortgage loans to low-income people. This practice grew and grew and as more and more illegal immigrants entered and stayed in the country, I believe the number was about a quarter of them, also got these mortgages. It seems to me that any one with 1/2 a brain would realize that these people would be incapable of taking care of what were mostly ARM type loans. I have bought 3 properties in my life as a single woman, 2 when I had children home, & the one I have had for the last 17 years. Never in a million years would I even consider an ARM.
I have had them offered to me, but never would even consider it. They are a trap for regular middle class people. I am not so sure that they would'nt be a trap for anyone over the long haul. This is just another cog in a very shaky wheel.

You know what is hysterical about the bail out stuff and amnesty for illegals, is that the democrats are more on George Bush's side than the republicans.

The entire push to get George Bush elected, including the voter fraud to get that retard elected, must have been entirely democratic manipulated. Bush is a democrat hiding in republican clothing (although Satan comes to mind as well).. But much like John McCain, those two are basically in the democratic party. Even last year or the year before, McCain was going to make the switch to the democratic party, and now (although the most hated republican in the world), he is the republican nominee for President. Look at McCain's sidekicks... Graham and LIEberman (names were always given to describe the occupation of a person).... McCain will go no where without those two and they are both socialists, to say the least.
