U.N. Chief Wants Quick Meeting With Obama

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon isn't wasting time in trying to establish ties with the incoming Obama administration.

Ban told reporters Wednesday that he has a phone call in to President-elect Barack Obama and expects to see him in Washington next week when he attends the emergency economic summit President Bush called.

"I will try to meet him in person as soon as possible in his capacity as president-elect,â€

The secretary-general will need the assistance of the new Obama administration soon as the world body faces yet another budget crisis compounded by a controversial six-year plan to renovate its New York City headquarters.

Since that building is in the US and taxpayer dollars of our citizens go to support these characters, has no one in that august "body" realized we might have a little bit of a financial problem.
Renovation? Sure! Nationalize the property, and have Donald Trump turn it into condos. That would be a more profitable use of taxpayer dollars as condo sales would come back to the coffers.

Those characters in the United Nations do little to support or help the United States. They are corrupt, and the very idea that they want more money to renovate their building. We just keep being stupid and used.

Obama will give the UN full power. He will sign the treaty of the sea in a heart beat. Obama supported a bill to give the UN the power to give our money to the poor of the world.
