Second case of TB found linked to Ore. call center
BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) -- Health officials say they've found a second case of tuberculosis linked to a Beaverton call center.
The first case was found in March 2007 in a Stream call center employee.
Washington County officials said Wednesday a second case has been identified in a former employee.
The patient was tested for TB last year and showed no signs of infection.
But officials say it isn't unusual for a new case to appear within the two years after a significant exposure.
The employee worked at Stream for six weeks ending in mid-February.
Health officials are contacting employees who may have been exposed to offer free evaluations.

Call centers use headsets alot. I can just imagine the amount of germs that gets into the mouth piece, or even a regular telephone receiver. Eww! Even Lysol wouldnt make me feel any easier about sharing telephone equipment with a bunch of other people.
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
