URGENT - MUST READ - 3/21 - Stupak 12 is growing!
URGENT - MUST READ - 3/21 - Stupak 12 is growing!
Please pass this along via email, web, phone, etc to anyone who can help spread the word:
Congressman Paul Broun (GA) met with a group of supporters around midnight tonight at the Cannon office building. Word is that the
healthcare reform debate has distilled-down into a battle over abortion (you
may already be aware) – he gave me a message and concrete list of Congressmen
who (as of late-tonight) are on the fence and potential converts to vote NO
tomorrow. This list is much bigger than the media is reporting – and it’s
directly from Congressman Broun.
Nancy Pelosi spent the day behind closed doors with these members to convince them that this bill is sanctioned by the church and not pro-abortion. Congressman Broun felt very strongly tonight that these members are now on the fence and can be persuaded to vote NO.
He suggests that constituents of the following members contact them Sunday morning via phone, fax, email – most importantly visit
their D.C. office Sunday at 12:30PM and field offices in their home
districts with the following message:
“If you vote for this healthcare bill, never again can you claim to be pro-life.â€

The Vote was scheduled for 2:00.
It is now 3:47 pm in DC and still no vote.
Fox News just announced the vote is to take place in 2 hours.
That will make it 5:47 pm - ?????
I don't think they have the votes - and I think our calls are working! Keep calling the below Dem's. Keep the pressure up and strong!

Stupak speaking now on Foxnews to announce his vote will be yes or no.
seems white house made some kinda deal that might get him to vote yes.
based on listening to him talk, it looks like he changed his vote to yes

Obama has agreed to issue an Executive Order reinforcing that no federal funding can be used in abortion under the Healthcare Reform Bill (original Senate bill) the House will pass. Evidently Stupak helped draft the resolution language, and he and other members now are announcing that he and his coalition of "pro-life" Democrats will vote "yes" on the bill.
Fox commentators now say that if it is not signed into law by Pres. Obama by 9:00 P.M. tonight, it will be first thing tomorrow!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Yes, this is what is announced. I did hear a Democrat say that they can undo this by Executive Order too, or by legislation in Congress. I find it difficult to believe that pro-abortion advocates will allow this to stand, as they were seeking for taxpayer funds to pay for abortions.
One Congress person standing with Bart Stupak, who will continue to vote NO, said that he reminded Mr. Stupak of the very fact that the promises made, can easily be undone.
What a day. And then there are thousands in Washington demanding amnesty, and seeking taxpayer health care too.
Psalm 91Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Text of White House Executive Order on Abortion
Posted by Tom Bevan
Just released by White House:
THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release March 21, 2010
STATEMENT FROM COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR DAN PFEIFFER
Today, the President announced that he will be issuing an executive order after the passage of the health insurance reform law that will reaffirm its consistency with longstanding restrictions on the use of federal funds for abortion.
While the legislation as written maintains current law, the executive order provides additional safeguards to ensure that the status quo is upheld and enforced, and that the health care legislation's restrictions against the public funding of abortions cannot be circumvented.
The President has said from the start that this health insurance reform should not be the forum to upset longstanding precedent. The health care legislation and this executive order are consistent with this principle.
The President is grateful for the tireless efforts of leaders on both sides of this issue to craft a consensus approach that allows the bill to move forward.
A text of the pending executive order follows:

I understand that they have to vote first on the health care bill - It will then be ready to sign into law.
Then they are to vote on a "reconcilation" bill that is to "fix" the Corn Husker deal ect. BUT there is NO Guareentee that they will vote on the "reconcilation" bill - because there are provisions in the SENATE bill (the first bill they are to vote on) that effects Social Security.
Under the law "reconcilation" can not be used on any bill that effects Social Security.
So Stupak and the rest have been decieved- according to GOP members of the house and Senate, because as it stands right now it is against the law of the land to us the "reconcilation" process to pass any bill that contains any Social Security amendments.
The Republicans are saying it is NOT a done deal yet. I have Fox on now and they are saying some Congressmen have switched their votes from yes to no and back again up to 3 times TODAY ALONE.

So the Executive Order is not worth the paper that it is written on?
This is what many are saying now.

Yup! They can write and rescend them at a moments notice and they can't use reconcilation because of the Social Security issues in the Senate bill.
