Facebook Video Shows a Disturbing Police/Security Assault on a Man in Front of a Hospital

A video shared with the Free Thought Project, via Facebook, Wednesday shows a frightening interaction between what appears to be Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies and McClaren Hospital private security officers violently taking a man into custody.
According to the man claiming to have taken the video, Richard Carman, “This man was dragged from the car, choked, and tasered. Afterward McClaren security stole my phone and had Macomb sheriff detain me for recording the assault.”
The entire time the man on film can be heard screaming that he doesn’t want to be killed and that he hasn’t done anything.
Throughout the assault the man screams out what he claims to be his girlfriend’s phone number, pleading with Carman to call his girlfriend.
It is unclear why security and police are detaining this man, but it is totally clear that he was being assaulted. At one point he is tased like cattle to simply remove him from the wheelchair.
Near the end of the video a security officer grabs Carman’s camera and turns it over to police. According to the facebook post, Carman was told that he could file charges against security for taking his phone, but he chose not to.

All of the officers were either current or have been a part of the narcotics division. John Speiser, Brian Reynolds, Michael Spicer, Perry Betts, Thomas Liciardello, and Linwood Norman are all facing multiple charges including extortion, robbery, kidnapping, and drug-dealing.
The investigation started last year when former cop, Jeffrey Walker, was arrested and pleaded guilty to corruption charges. As part of an apparent plea arrangement Walker has been rolling over on his fellow corrupt brothers in blue.
Sources have confirmed that these officers are being accused of allegations stealing drugs and money, robbing drug dealer suspects at gun point, and worse.
According to CBS Philadelphia,

In one incident, officials say, the accused held one of the drug suspects for days in a hotel while threatening him and making threats against his family.
In another alleged incident, one victim was reportedly dangled over the edge of an 18th-floor balcony in order to get information.
“It was a nightmare, an absolute nightmare,” James McIntyre told CBS 3’s Walt Hunter in an interview. McIntyre, in a lawsuit filed against several of the officers, claims he was manhandled then wrongfully arrested, spending six months behind bars before charges were withdrawn.

Of course the department has gone on the defensive and Commissioner Ramsey stated yesterday that, “These officers don’t represent the majority of this department,” and that “The majority of our department was represented in the dedicated police work displayed during the past few days, working endlessly with the community and getting wanted criminals off the street,”
Apparently Commissioner Ramsey is not a very close observer of his own force, nor an apparent reader of The Free Thought Project.
Philly cops have been involved in mass disobedience to the law, confiscating a baby from a mother because it was born at home, forcing women to strip naked and masturbating in front of them, forcing children to fight for entertainment, forming gangs and robbing and terrorizing store owners, and even their former police chief calls them “dangerous, alienating and sociopathic.”
Sure thing Commissioner Ramsey, the Philadelphia Police Department sounds like a group of well behaved boy scouts.
The six officers involved in this most recent debauchery have all pleaded not-guilty and prosecutors are asking that all six men be held in prison, without bail.

Last February, Oregon police left a woman on the side of the road at 2 A.M with no money and a dead cellphone, after they arrested her fiance for a DUI and impounded their car. 23 year old Jessica Ojeda was told by police that they had no obligation to help her and that she would have to find her own way home.

Jessica even pleaded with the officer to arrest her along with her fiance, so she would at least have a ride to somewhere where she would be able to make a phone call. The police refused and told her that she had to leave the area, knowing that she would have to walk the streets by herself late at night.

“I don’t have any way to get home, can you book me?” Ojeda asked the officers as calmly as she could, obviously intimidated by the situation. She said that when she asked the question, one of deputies turned to Watkin, the arresting officer, and asked, “Is there a way we can work around this?” To which Watkin immediately responded by saying, “we’re not taking her home. It’s not our obligation, it’s not our job.”

In the police report, deputy Watkin casually admitted to leaving her on the side of the road, but later when questioned by reporters the department claimed that the arresting deputies offerd to give her money for a cab.

“She told me she has a medical marijuana card and showed me this current card,” The police report said. “Ojeda said she had smoked marijuana earlier and this was the smell coming from her. Ojeda was noticeably irritated and wanted to be argumentative with me. She demanded to be arrested as well because she was not leaving.”

Sgt. Chris Baldridge, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, has been playing damage control with the media, claiming that Watkin offered to call a cab for Ojeda.

“Despite Ms. Ojeda cursing at Deputy Watkin and demanding he take her to jail, Deputy Watkin attempted to make arrangements for a cab to come and pick Ms. Ojeda up from the traffic stop. This was witnessed and verified by a Salem officer and an additional Marion County deputy who were on scene and assisting Deputy Watkin with the traffic stop,” Baldridge said in an email interview with The Statesman Journal.

However, Ojeda said that the neither of the officers ever offered to get her a cab, and Watkin never mentioned that detail in his police report. The only mention of Ojeda in the report was where Watkin said that ”I explained she was not under arrest and needed to leave. Ojeda was not happy and made derogative statements before finally leaving the area.”

Luckily, Ojeda did make it safely to a hotel that was a few miles down the road, where she was able to make a phone call for help. William Helle has since had his drunk driving charge dismissed, pending completion of driving and alcohol classes.

“Heck, even the DUI suspect was going to end up with a roof over his head,” said John Bowman, communications director with the National Motorists Association. “Police have an obligation to protect and serve all citizens with whom they interact. And while abandoning a woman on the side of the road may technically not be illegal, it certainly doesn’t live up to the public expectation of police officers being helpful and looking out for the well-being of citizens, no matter the circumstances.”

August 1, 2014Last year, University of Virginia student Elizabeth Daly and two friends went into a grocery store to purchase some refreshments.

This innocent trip to the store ended up with Daly in jail, charged with assaulting ABC agents who were attempting to stop her for underage possession of beer; only the beer didn’t exist, it was water.

Daly and friends bought a case of canned water from a Charlottesville grocery. When the group of girls walked out of the store they were accosted by plainclothes agents so they locked themselves inside her vehicle and dialed 9-1-1.

While attempting to contact the police, one agent drew his gun, and another jumped on the hood of the car, and tried busting out her windows. Not knowing that the plainclothes men with guns, who were assaulting her and her friends, were cops, she fled the scene, grazing two of the agents in the process.

Daly was subsequently arrested and spent the night in jail, charged with two felonies. The charges were later dropped and her record expunged.
Last March, attorneys for Daly filed a $40 million lawsuit against the state and seven agents. The suit alleged malicious prosecution, failure to train ABC agents appropriately, and six counts of assault and battery.

Michael Kelly, director of communications for Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, said, “It’s incredibly unfortunate that the situation that night in Charlottesville occurred at all.

“As this case proceeds, the Attorney General’s Office will defend the commonwealth’s interests and work to ensure a just and reasonable outcome,” Kelly said.

The suit stated that Daly, of Henrico County, “does not and never has consumed alcohol or abused drugs, and/or her parents, on her behalf, have incurred significant legal, medical and other costs, and will continue to do so in the future due to the malicious, intentional, and/or grossly negligent actions of the (d)efendants.” She has a tremor in her right hand, intense anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other problems as a result of the April 11 incident.

During a June hearing in which a federal judge dismissed the state from Daly’s $40 million lawsuit, her attorney argued the plainclothes agents jumped his client, as she tried getting inside her SUV. As a result part of the lawsuit alleged assault and battery against the officers. Attorney James Thorsen said the assault was against his client — although not physical– resulted in a “mental injury.”

Thursday the state announced that it will pay Elizabeth Daly, now 21, $212,000 to settle the multi-million dollar lawsuit.
Maybe next time these overzealous agents won’t be so quick assault innocent people. But then again, it was the tax-payers that assumed the liability of their irresponsible actions, so maybe they will.

A video has gone viral since being posted to youtube which features a 12-year-old boy, Jeremy Drew, from Las Vegas, calling out a cop for illegally parking on the sidewalk.
The LVPD officer was parked on the sidewalk in order to perform his ‘official’ duties of obtaining a bucket-sized soda from a convenience store.
Despite being completely in the wrong, the cop does the only thing he knows how to do, employ intimidation tactics by asking for ID and alleging that the boy is committing crimes.
While this video is nearly two years old, the heartening display of courage and forthrightness is timeless and should serve as a benchmark for parents today.
If we all taught our children to question authority like 12-year-old Jeremy does, the police state would be a thing of the past.

An Illinois cop watcher was walking to his car after work when he saw something very fishy going on, so he pulled out his camera to hold the police accountable.

I noticed the officer open the side door of the minivan which I found highly unusual with the driver still in her seat. This prompted me to get my video camera. I walked up to the rail and started recording, almost immediately I was accosted.

The man filming is immediately approached by belligerent officers in plainclothes. They begin to badger him, calling him an asshole, and telling him to “get the **** out of here.”
The cops blatantly lie to the man and tell him that they will take his camera for “evidence” despite there having been no crime committed.
At the 1:32 mark you can here one of the thugs tell the officer to “get the video.”
The ridiculous part about this interaction is that these cops claim that the man filming is “causing a disturbance” when it was the cops that walked up to him, and began to harass him!

Came out to parking garage after work, noticed a couple guys and a Moline Officer parked in the section below the parking area I was in, the officer was speaking with a woman in a minivan. Didn't think too much of it, did think it was weird but I was in a hurry. I noticed the officer open the side door of the minivan which I found highly unusual with the driver still in her seat. This prompted me to get my video camera. I walked up to the rail and started recording, almost immediately I was accosted.

At about 1:32 as I am walking to talk to the officer you can hear one of the guys tell her to get the video. That would have gone badly for everyone involved..

Video is complete except the last 18s were removed to keep my plate out of it and nothing happened after the officer walked off.

FBI agents and police turned the entire village of of Armada, Michigan into a checkpoint last night, interrogating every driver who attempted to enter or leave the town and then marking ones who had been grilled with an ‘X’ on their hand.

Authorities took a blanket approach to the search for clues about 14-year-old April Millsap, who was found murdered in a wooded area last week.
With Michigan state police complaining about the fact that tips in the case have “dried up,” officers and agents occupied areas of the town between 5pm and 8pm last night, blocking off the main road and other routes before going “car by car” and quizzing every driver.
Pictures from ABC 7 showed huge tailbacks with cars “backed up for miles.” Armada township Police Chief Howard Smith defended the action, saying it was a necessary measure to find clues about the case by stopping cars driving in the vicinity of where the murder took place at the same time.
“It looked like a roadblock, but it was what police call a rolling canvas,” reported Local 4 News, adding that “swarms of police” covered three checkpoints.
A local group protested the move, asserting that the roadblock was unconstitutional and not backed up by probable cause. The group, which was not named in the ABC 7 report, planned to read both the federal and state constitution to the police chief.

“This is the second time in recent years that police have imposed what amounts to an mass investigative detention as part of a crime investigation,” writes William Norman Grigg, pointing to a similar approach after a June 2012 bank robbery in in Aurora, Colorado where everyone within the vicinity of the bank was placed in handcuffs.

As we reported last year, California Highway Patrol officers set up a checkpoint in a Sacramento suburb after a gang member shot and injured several law enforcement officials before going into hiding. An AP photograph showed one officer pointing a gun at the head of an innocent driver who happened to be passing through the checkpoint.
During the aftermath of the Boston marathon bombing, heavily armed police went door to door without search warrants terrorizing families at gunpoint and ransacking homes, prompting Ron Paul to observe that the manhunt was more frightening than the attack itself, saying it resembled “scenes from a military coup in a far off banana republic.”
In a similar example of excessive behavior, police wildly shot and injured numerous innocent people during the manhunt for Christopher Dorner last year, including women who looked nothing like Dorner.

This came by way of several LA-area community activists sending a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice to conduct an independent inquiry into Andrew.

Cops say Officer Joel Edouard was attempting to arrest suspect Jahmiel Cuffee in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Tuesday night, after he allegedly spotted the 32-year-old man rolling a joint. Video shows Cuffee resisting arrest after showing Edouard and several other officers his ID; the officers wrestle him to the ground, and witnesses say Edouard then got violent. "He abruptly stomped on top of the gentleman’s head,” Gary Dormer, who took a cell phone video of the arrest, told PIX11. “He lifted his foot with excessive force and came down like he was stepping on an ant or a roach or something at the time." NEW YORK (PIX11) — Another amateur video has surfaced showing an NYPD officer allegedly using excessive force during an arrest.


The NYPD told reporters they were investigating the video, and yesterday Edouard was placed on modified assignment. He was required to surrender his gun and his shield. Cuffee, meanwhile, was treated for neck and head injuries at a local hospital; he has been charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
This week's incident occurred just a week after Staten Island man Eric Garner died after being put in a chokehold by an officer during an arrest. That officer, Daniel Pantaleo, has also been placed on modified desk duty, and has surrendered his badge and gun. Police Commissioner Bill Bratton called for the "retraining of every member in our city Police Department" following Garner's death.

A Brooklyn cop was put on modified assignment Friday after allegedly stomping on a shackled suspect’s head, authorities said.

NYPD Officer Joel Edouard, 36, had subdued Jahmiel Cuffee on suspicion of marijuana possession on Malcolm X Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 8 p.m. Wednesday — and then he booted the man as he lay on the ground, officials said.

The move stunned onlookers videotaping it.

“What is wrong with this officer?” one man screamed. “Look at your officer! You see that?”

Cops saw Cuffee, 32, roll a joint on the street and stopped him, police sources said. He was taken to a hospital with neck and head injuries and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and pot possession, cops said.

Edouard is the second NYPD cop in July to get modified assignment. He was placed on desk duty and ordered to surrender his gun and shield.

Daniel Pantaleo was similarly reassigned after putting Eric Garner, 43, of Staten Island in a chokehold on July 17.

A Brooklyn cop who was caught on camera stomping on a man's head while he was being subdued has been assigned to desk duty, according to the NY Daily News.

Joel Edouard, 36, also waved a gun toward Jahmil-El Cuffee's head while he was on the ground being arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Edouard was ordered to surrender his gun and shield as well.

A new video showing a NYPD officer pointing his gun at an unarmed man who is being restrained has surfaced online and is putting the city's police department in further controversy over its arrest tactics.
This comes only a week after footage of the choking death of Eric Garner by officers in Staten Island, New York, surfaced and spread across the Internet.

The latest incident took place in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. The video shows two officers restraining and holding a man up against a vehicle on the property where the man lives, according to the voice of the man recording the video.

The officers tell him to stop resisting arrest. "I didn't do s--t," the man being held down repeatedly says. One cop then pulls out his weapon and points it at the man's head to threaten him and then places it back in his holster. Seconds later, the same officer stomps on the man's head as other cops gather to restrain the man and arrest him.

Videos showing alleged police misconduct continue to surface more and more as witnesses look to expose these incidents. This also comes following the arrest of a man being held in a chokehold by officers in Harlem, which was recently posted online.

At the beginning of the video we can see that police are tasering him and claiming that he is ‘resisting.’
He is face down on the pavement, with 3 cops on top of him, with taser prongs in his back, while cops are twisting his arms into painful positions, and because he is not completely limp, they are calling it ‘resisting.’

At the beginning of the video we can see that police are tasering him and claiming that he is ‘resisting.’
He is face down on the pavement, with 3 cops on top of him, with taser prongs in his back, while cops are twisting his arms into painful positions, and because he is not completely limp, they are calling it ‘resisting.’

It's a caught-on-tape moment you have to hear to believe. Two Dalton Police Officers hurling the f-bomb and other four-letter words at children on a school bus. Now those cops are in a heap of trouble with not only parents - but the city as well.

Dalton Police Chief Jason Parker says they usually keep things like these under wraps. But this time, he says he felt the community needed to know what happened. Many we spoke with say an officer should never use offensive language to make a point, even if the children themselves are using four-letter words.

She can't f****** focus on what she's doing? What if she flips the bus over or hits somebody? You think it's f****** funny when you're all hurt or throwing up because your hurt. What's funny then, Officer John Gurrieri says on the bus.

Along with veteran officer Steven Collins, Gurrieri was was dispatched to Glenwood Avenue. That's where a bus driver called 911, saying more than 50 kids on her bus were out of control and she couldn't focus on driving safely.

GREELEY, Colo. – As police frequently face accusations of responding to calls with excessive force, illegal procedures and military weapons and tactics, one top cop with more than 45 years of law enforcement experience is taking action against the “warrior cop” mentality.


“This isn’t Iraq, this isn’t Afghanistan. I don’t think you want to indoctrinate your officers with the warrior mentality to the extent that if you’re a warrior then you have got to have a war,” Greeley, Colorado, Police Chief Jerry Garner said.
Garner’s department is not a typical small-town America operation. A 2008 situation report by the U.S. Department of Justice, National Drug Intelligence Center showed Greeley is one of many American cities where the presence of Mexican drug cartels has been documented.
In 2010, Weld County Deputy Sam Brownlee was killed in Greeley after a high-speed pursuit in which the suspect grabbed the officer’s gun.
Despite events such as these, Garner believes the warrior-cop mentality isn’t necessary. He told WND he focuses his officer training on avoiding the use of deadly force when possible.
“There’s an old adage in sports that says you play as you practice,” Garner said. “People need to understand that if an officer is trained right, when they get in an armed confrontation many times they almost go on autopilot.”
Garner said ultimately the solution is to have the right level of ongoing training for officers so that knowing when to use deadly force becomes second nature.

“We had a situation in the last couple of weeks where we talked with an officer after an incident, and he told us everything he learned in his training just kicked in almost instinctively. Because of that you want that training to be right in the first place,” he said.
Garner said a key to avoiding the use of deadly force is teaching officers through simulated scenarios that using their firearm is not the only option when faced with a threat.
“While you want to train your people to be safe, you also want to train them to recognize that there could be another option besides the use of lethal force,” Garner said. “I’ve been very pleased as police chief over some of the things I’ve seen our people do over the last year to avoid the use of lethal force even in cases where ethically, legally and across the spectrum it would’ve been justified.
“Instead, they went the extra step in order to save a life even in some cases where they did so at considerable risk to themselves.”
In a recent column in the Greeley Tribune, Garner provided instances of his officers taking steps to avoid violence.

• One night, shortly after midnight, a Greeley officer broke up a fight outside a local bar. One of the combatants told the officer he had a gun, reached into his pants and then ran. He was arrested without incident.
• Officers another time encountered a man on a first aid call. When told to show his hands, he produced a knife and advanced while challenging the officers to shoot him. He was arrested after being hit with a Taser.
• GPD responded on a Sunday night to a residence after the caller stated a relative had pointed a gun at him. Officers found the man inside the house with a gun in his hand. Officers were able to take the man to the floor with no shots fired.
• A GPD officer stopped a traffic violator, and the man got out of his vehicle and repeatedly reached into his waistband as if he had a weapon. After the man was taken into custody it was learned that he had just attempted to kill an individual by running him down and was attempting to commit “suicide by cop.”
• Shortly before midnight, officers located a man who was reported to have just threatened another man with a gun. When confronted, he drew a semiautomatic pistol and held it at his side. GPD officers did not fire and instead directed beanbag rounds at the man. He was knocked to the ground and surrendered.

Garner said the push toward being “warrior cops” is not indicative of all departments.
The militarization of police forces traces back to the creation of the first SWAT team in the 1960s by Daryl Gates, an inspector with the Los Angeles Police Department. Gates created SWAT to deal with situations like the 1965 Watts riots.
Garner told WND he believes the warrior-cop trend is partly due to a breakdown in respect for authority that used to exist for police officers.
“What I am seeing is an increase in the number of people who are willing to take us on that didn’t exist years ago,” Garner said. “While I don’t know if police officers should necessarily be intimidating, the reality is years ago the bad guys were more intimidated by the presence of a police officer then they are today, and they are more likely to resist arrest.”
He said there also are more criminals who are armed, and “when they encounter a police officer who is trying to take them into custody they are increasingly willing to rely on that weapon.”
“This is happening now more than at any other time in my career,” he said.
Garner said when he talks to fellow police chiefs across the state and nation they tell him they are seeing similar trends.
He explained that as a result, police departments began changing their training to include officer safety courses as a matter of necessity.
“When I first became a police officer in 1969 there was no such thing as officer safety training. Over the last several decades we started teaching officer safety, how to stay alive in the streets. As a result, the number of officers killed has generally come down over the past 11 years.”
He said he wants to mitigate against the phenomenon seen in war, when one side’s raising of the level of hostilities prompts the other to respond in kind.
“When I’m teaching officer safety and I talk to these young police officers about all of the bad things that could happen to them out there, I don’t want them to be jumping at every noise they hear and everything they see out of the corner of their eye,” he said.
“You don’t want them to develop a hair trigger for everything they see to the point they assume something bad is going to happen to them. Very frequently the police department gets young officers out of the academy, and the first thing their new supervisors have to do is calm them down and tell them that while everything they learned in the academy about officer safety is valid, they still need to recognize that not everybody they encounter on the street is trying to kill them.”
He also prefers the term “peace officer.”
“You don’t often hear the term peace officer used much anymore,” Garner said. “While my use of the term may show that I’m somewhat dated, I still believe that we’re out here … to keep the peace and hopefully you can do that without an arrest, hopefully you can do that without the use of force.”

I spent half my life in Magistrates Court during my time in the Force. I was only ever a very fair copper, and I am proud of my time in the job, looking after the interests of citizens, often to the detriment of my family and my health.

I never booked any driver for a trifling offence “ever”. People committing trifling offences commonly used to get a warning and a licence / vehicle check. It had to be serious before I booked anyone.

I am so annoyed at what is happening these days, in what I call “Indiscriminate revenue gathering” It is absolutely disgusting. The government and the Police Force need to hang their heads in shame. If you did a survey of current serving members of the police forces in this country, you would be hard pushed to find many who disagree with me.

I know how the legal system works, and I know how to beat the system. This is how to do it, and if about 10% of all drivers booked follow my specific instructions, then the entire system will crash and become unworkable to the extent, that the government will have no choice but to stop issuing fines for every type of traffic offence. The whole lot of them. Seriously.

I do not feel guilty about coming out with this information, as I think it’s about time someone stood up for hard working, civil minded, law abiding taxpayers in this country, who are being screwed.

This is very simple and very basic. The idea is to clog up the system in the traffic camera office and the courts by drivers exercising their rights to remain innocent until proven guilty.

SIMPLE BASIC LEGAL STEPS TO FOLLOW…………….
1. Do not accept the alleged offence. There are numerous valid reasons to dispute every single alleged offence. Often the charges are incorrect or the evidence is illegally or incorrectly gathered.

2. Challenge it, tell them that you are going to defend the matter. Make them earn their miserable $150 or $200 or whatever. They have to prepare evidence and witnesses. Just the wages for the camera operator or the Policeman on the day of the court, will be more than the actual fine. You are also taking a camera operator or a member of the Police Force off the street for the day. But it won’t get to that point…..read on….

3. If a court date is ever set, and it does not suit you, do not accept it, ask for a delay to a time and place that suits you.

4. When they re set the date, delay it as often as possible. keep pleading not guilty all through the process. You have every right to be sick, or go for an adjournment if the day does not suit for any legitimate reason. For example you may have pressing family or work commitments which prevent you from attending a particular court on a particular day.

5. If it ever actually gets to court, (which is unlikely if everyone does this) and if you are unwell that day, ring the court in the morning and tell them that you cannot make it as you are sick. The camera operator, and a police prosecutor will already be at court, and will be greatly inconvenienced, by having to come back another day. The whole time this is going on, the amount of paperwork involved at the traffic camera office is huge. Several staff are involved, and it rapidly becomes very costly, probably running into thousands. …..with me so far…..keep reading…….

6. The court system is then placed under such a massive load by people who wanted “their day in court” that it simply will not be able to cope unless they open up about another 50 magistrates courts, and this is obviously going to cost the government a lot more than any revenue raised. If all the above fails, which is highly unlikely….and you actually go to court and get convicted……you have a right of appeal. Make sure you appeal the conviction. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see what happens. They are not going to spend millions chasing hundreds.

7 Tell everyone you know to challenge their alleged offences, and the entire system will crash within a few weeks.

8. Please pass this on. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY AND THAT THERE IS A VERY HIGH PROBABILITY THAT THE EVIDENCE USED AGAINST YOU IS WRONG. YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CHALLENGE ANY ALLEGED OFFENCE. THIS IS WHY COURTS EXIST….SO USE THEM……A LOT.

Police Retaliation? Man Who Filmed Cops Killing Eric Garner Arrested on Gun Charge

The cops placed father of 6, Eric Garner, in a chokehold and slammed his head to the pavement, piling on top of him as he gasped for air, eventually killing him.
The video went ultra viral, helping to expose the atrocious police state.
Because of people like you sharing these stories and Ramsey Orta making them, these pressing issues are being forced into the mainstream.
Friday the New York City Medical Examiner’s office released a statement ruling the official cause of death a homicide due to “compression of neck, chest and positioning during restraint by police.”
Then, on Saturday, according to NBC New York, police said plainclothes officers from a Staten Island narcotics unit saw Orta stuff a silver, .25-caliber handgun into a 17-year-old female companion’s waistband after they walked out of the Hotel Richmond. Police called the location, on Central Avenue, a “known drug prone location.”
Police said Orta had a previous weapon conviction that prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
Police say an unloaded semi-automatic weapon was recovered from Orta. It was reported stolen in Michigan in 2007. They say Orta is in a hospital being treated for a medical condition.
However, Orta’s wife believes this arrest was a setup.
“It’s not fair,” said Chrissie Ortiz. “And it’s obvious. Once they ruled this a homicide, now you all of a sudden find something on him? C’mon. Let’s be realistic. Even the dumbest criminal would know not to be doing something like that outside. So the whole story doesn’t fit at all.”
Orta had been friends with Garner for several years, he referred to Garner as “the neighborhood dad.”
This was not the first time Orta had used his cell phone to record police brutality. Just a week prior to filming Garner’s death, he filmed another violent arrest at the same location.
Then, just a week after Garner’s death, Orta reported to Time that he was already receiving harassment from police for the filming of Garner’s death.
“It just gives me more power to not be afraid to pull out my camera anytime,” he says. “Even if they’re pushing me back, I might just like keep going forward and if I get arrested, hey, I got something on camera.”
We may never know if this was a setup or not. But it certainly was a ‘lucky break’ for the NYPD, that only a day after the death of a man, who died in their custody was ruled a homicide, that the man responsible for exposing it, is now in their custody.

A video shared with The Free Thought Project, via Facebook Saturday, paints an onerous picture of the reality that is Police State USA.

The video starts off with an NYPD cop demanding ID from a young man. The young man’s friend then pushes him out of the way to save him from arrest and they walk off.
After smelling the blood in the water, this shark….ahem, cop, had to feed. He grabbed the closest person to him, which happened to be 16-year-old Nasheri, and demanded an ID, again. Having done nothing wrong, and not wanting to be assaulted, she told the accosting officer not to touch her.

Not receiving an instant submission to his ‘power’ was a direct blow to this officer’s authoritative ego; he must now throw a tyrannical temper tantrum.

As the power-tripping NYPD cop begins to manhandle a 90 lb teenage girl, her brother steps in to stop the injustice. As if they had been waiting for this glorious moment, the opportunity to escalate the violence had been granted; it was now time to bash some heads!

The young man is thrown to the ground by the large NYPD cop and quickly finds himself subject to the standard, 200 lb knee on the neck, face on the pavement, ‘stop resisting’ maneuver.

The siblings were subsequently arrested and charged with multiple ‘crimes.’ According to the person who posted the video, they were released the next day.

Shockingly enough some of this footage was filmed by a 13 year old child named Erin Wronko.

Steve Wronko had gone to the Helmetta Police Department with a list of objections about recent violations at the Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter. According to the Community outreach facebook page created to expose the atrocities of the shelter, Reform Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter, there is a long stemming controversy from the Helmetta Mayor, Nancy Martin.

Martin also happens to be the tax collector for the City of Perth. In 2011, Martin made her son, Brandon Metz, the head of the Animal Shelter. She also appointed him to Animal Cruelty Investigator, Borough Laborer, Water Meter Reader, and Certified Recycling Co-ordinator, according to the facebook page.

When Wronko went to the police department to voice his complaints about the violations of his Constitutional rights by this corrupt, nepotistic system, he was met with even more corruption.

As Wronko began to talk about his objections to what was taking place at the shelter, claiming that his First and Fourth Amendment rights were violated, the officer said, “Obama just decimated the freakin’ Constitution, so I don’t give a damn. If he doesn’t follow the Constitution, we don’t have to.”

Did you get that? Wronko knew his rights and was pressing his grievances forward to those who have sworn an oath to uphold the law. See the response of the lawless? They think they can cast aside the law because the chief law enforcer in the land casts it aside. This officer, as well as Barack Obama, are incredibly delusional. They are under the same laws as the people.

Sadly, at the end of the video, it isn’t just this officer that is viewed as the problem. More officers arrive and escort Wronko out of the building. “Either you get out or you’re gonna get locked up,” he was told.

“Maybe this instance, captured on film for the whole world to see, will serve as a wake up call to those who may still be asleep,” wrote Agorist. “Please share this so that it can help others to see the leviathan for what it is, a gang of thieves writ large.”

Should we not expect policemen to obey the law? How about Congress? How about the Executive Branch? You see, when people decide to play political games and “strategize” concerning the law, it emboldens the lawless. Obama, by his own lawless actions, and Congress by their failing to hold him accountable for those lawless actions are sending a message on a local level to police that they are not subject to the law either.

Sadly, they are not wanting to hear from law abiding citizens, but they must! A Hidden Camera During DUI Checkpoint Exposes the Vileness of the American Police State

“He’s perfectly innocent, he knows his rights, he knows what the Constitution says.” mutters the power tripping jackboot cop as he tears apart this innocent man’s vehicle for no other reason than to flex his “authority.”

“It wasn’t a very good alert….” brags the other jackboot about the drug dog “giving them permission” to search this man’s vehicle. He was likely about to confess to just how arbitrary their decision was in violating this innocent person’s rights, when he spots the camera.
“Hey Jim……” and they realize they’ve been bamboozled.

Watching this video is incredibly grounding, we can see just how far the US has progressed into a totalitarian police state. These Stasi checkpoints are NOT for your safety, they are to condition innocent people into acquiescing to state intimidation. If you doubt that claim, research how many of these “DUI Checkpoints” actually catch people that are DUI.

Here are the numbers from the checkpoint that night:

• 250 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
• 20 vehicles were detained that required further investigation
• Three vehicles were searched
• One misdemeanor arrest was made
• 32 citations were issued: Two child restraint device citations, one DUI, 10 citations for violations of the registration law, four citations for violation of the light law, one revoked/suspended driver’s license, six financial responsibility (no insurance), six other driver’s license law violations, and two safety belt law violations.

Only one DUI arrest was made. One out of 250. 250 people were stopped, questioned, their rights violated, and faced potential and real harassment so this department could be 0.4% effective at stopping drunk driving.

The police state expanding around us is grotesque and vile, and worse yet is the fact that it is accepted by most Americans because they think it is necessary for their safety.

Police won't let me know if I'm being detained (I broke no laws), they use their K-9 to false alert on my car giving themselves permission to search my stuff, and lie about me having illegal drugs in my car. They eventually let me go with no charges.

At a DUI stop, the police are only supposed to stop people for a short period of time to see if they are driving impaired. They are NOT supposed to be issuing citations to people.
Another reason why I disagree with checkpoints: In America, you are innocent until proven guilty. At checkpoints, that is pretty much reversed. In the future, I recommend that all motorists record their encounters with law enforcement.

We must continue to expose the tyrants, we must help to lessen the ignorance in ourselves, and those around us.

Americans accept this tyranny because it has been incrementally phased into their perception. If they could step outside of their lazy-boys and football for just a minute, they’d be able to see reality. The reality is that we are being enslaved by a system of taxation and oppression.
The only way out of this system is knowledge. We, the people, have no way of defending against drones, tanks, tomahawk missiles, etc., so violence would prove futile and only convert tyrants in to martyrs.

To quote Harriet Tubman, who became famous for her resistance to slavery and rescuing other slaves from their bondage, “I freed thousands of slaves. I could have freed thousands more, if they had known they were slaves.”

Drug Kingpin Arrested in Detroit, Turns Out He’s a Former Cop

Former Detroit police officer Brandon Allen appeared in court this week, where he was formally accused of running a drug cartel, that largely controlled the sale and distribution of black market pharmaceutical drugs across several states.

According to prosecutors, Allen was the kingpin behind an underground operation that distributed painkillers, specifically oxycodone, in West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio for at least five years.

After an extensive investigation that spanned several months, he was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport while attempting to board a flight to the Dominican Republic, just weeks ago.

“There was so much need for drugs down here and he had an ability to distribute it. He’s allegedly selling these drugs at 22 dollars a piece. 3, 4 thousand pills at a time. That’s a large profit margin for him,” Prosecutor Keller Blackburn told reporters.

According to Blackburn, Allen was running a $3 Million drug operation at the same time he was arresting other black market entrepreneurs for doing the same exact thing. Allen also has a prior conviction for felony extortion, but details of that charge have not been made public.

His next court appearance is September 15th and his jury trial date is set for October 7th.

Shocking footage out of Ferguson, Missouri shows that police are deliberately targeting journalists as part of a military-style crackdown that has caused outrage, with even Newsweek acknowledging that U.S. law enforcement is now akin to an occupying army.

The clip shows Al-Jazeera journalists preparing to do a live camera shot of the scene in Ferguson before they are hit with a round of tear gas. The reporters run in the opposite direction. Subsequent photographs show militarized police officers seizing and dismantling their camera equipment as another officer points a sniper rifle at the fleeing reporters.

It is important to emphasize that this is no longer about looting. The police were AWOL when the looting unfolded on Sunday night. Since that time the looting has all but stopped but the crackdown against peaceful protesters and journalists has intensified.

Two journalists working for the Huffington Post and the Washington Post were also arrested for not leaving a McDonalds quickly enough, as shown in the video below.

St. Louis alderman Antonio French was also arrested and held overnight for the crime of exiting his car. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon announced this morning that he would visit the town as concerns about wider civil unrest grow.


In arresting, assaulting and intimidating local officials and journalists, Ferguson police are clearly trying to create a chilling effect to discourage media coverage of their brutality and scare other reporters away from covering the story.

The situation in Ferguson is so ominous that evenNewsweek is now reporting that America’s police have “become an army” and are “indistinguishable from soldiers,” a chilling acknowledgment given that we were labeled “conspiracy theorists” time and time again for warning about martial law in the past.

By instituting a military-style occupation of the town and aggressively targeting journalists and peaceful protesters, authorities are only increasing the likelihood of further disorder and civil unrest spreading to other areas.


In a related development, the Anonymous hacker group publicly released the name of the officer responsible for shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown and have vowed to release his photo and address if authorities do not respond today.

President Obama will make a statement Thursday at 12:15 p.m. from Martha's Vineyard, Mass., addressing the violence in Ferguson, Mo., and U.S. efforts in Iraq to push back militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

The president was briefed Wednesday night by Attorney General Eric Holder and senior adviser Valerie Jarrett about the clashes between protesters and police in Ferguson, a St. Louis suburb.

Overnight, more than a dozen people — including reporters for the Huffington Post and The Washington Post — were arrested in the fourth consecutive day of mass protests following the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.Local police, already facing accusations of using excessive force in the incident, fired smoke bombs and tear gas into crowds of demonstrators.
White House officials expect the president will hold another meeting Thursday morning with advisers to be updated on the situation.
Earlier this week, Obama issued a written statement calling for "reflection and understanding" after Brown's killing, imploring those upset over the death to conduct a discussion "in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds." He and first lady Michelle Obama also personally reached out to the Brown family to express their condolences, according to White House spokesman Eric Schultz.
But the words appear to have done little to diffuse the situation, with protestors in Ferguson saying Brown's death was emblematic of long-brewing racial tensions in the town.
On Iraq, Obama is expected to provide an update on the ongoing humanitarian mission to help thousands of minorities who were trapped on Mount Sinjar, fearing slaughter from Sunni extremists who have seized large swaths of northern Iraq.
On Wednesday, the Pentagon said it had determined that thousands of the Yazidis trapped on the mountain had been able to escape because of the success of U.S. humanitarian airdrops and strikes on militant targets.
"The Yazidis who remain are in better condition than previously believed and continue to have access to the food and water that we have dropped," said Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby. "Based on this assessment the interagency has determined that an evacuation mission is far less likely."
Obama’s address comes as the number of U.S. forces in Iraq has inched up to 1,000.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will announce that St. Louis County law enforcement will be relieved of duty in Ferguson, which has been roiled by protests after the shooting death by police of an unarmed teenager, according to Representative William Lacy Clay.
“The governor just called me, and he’s on his way to St. Louis now to announce he’s taking away St. Louis County police out of the situation,” Clay, a Missouri Democrat, said in a telephone interview. He added that Nixon may ask the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation to step in.
Clay said that he has been urging U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to “take over the entire situation because we will not get justice for Michael Brown and his family and friends if the St. Louis County police and prosecutor have a say.”

Police and protesters in the St. Louis suburb are engaged in a standoff entering its sixth day in the wake of the Aug. 9 shooting of Brown. Police say the 18-year-old had fought the officer over his weapon, while Ferguson residents say Brown was shot while putting his hands up in surrender.

Obama Briefed
President Barack Obama, who is vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, hasn’t reacted publicly to what’s happening in Ferguson since Aug. 12, when he issued a written statement calling the death “heartbreaking.”
Obama was briefed last night on what’s going on there by Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser, and Holder, both of whom are also on the resort island, White House Deputy Press SecretaryEric Schultz said in an e-mail yesterday.
The president is scheduled to speak to reporters at about 12:15 p.m. New York time, the White House said.
The president had another briefing on the topic scheduled for this morning and “senior staff will continue to update the president as needed,” Schultz said.
A White House spokesman referred questions about the situation to the Justice Department. The FBI on Aug. 11 opened an investigation into the Brown shooting, with Holder calling for a “fulsome review.”
Clay said federal and state authorities have waited too long to take control of the situation.

“They are relying on the St. Louis County authorities to do the right thing,” Clay said. “Now the governor realizes that they’re not going to do the right thing.”

‘Police Terrorism’
About 2 a.m. today, a group of more than 50 police officers in full protective gear drove three black armored vehicles to the Ferguson police department. Officers pointed guns at the crowd and told everyone to disperse immediately or face arrest. Protesters, who raised their hands and dropped to their knees, later departed, with some shouting expletives at the police.
“This is police terrorism at its finest,” said Kyra Rayford, a 24-year-old from St. Louis who was waving a sign across the street from the police department. “They’ve been using unnecessary aggression and force. They’re violating our civil rights.”
The officer’s name hasn’t been released.
Police officers in military-style regalia yesterday fired tear gas at groups of protesters, and reporters from the Washington Post and The Huffington Post were arrested.

‘No Justification’
Wesley Lowery, a reporter for the Washington Post, wrote that he was handcuffed by officers in a McDonald’s restaurant after attempting to videotape them. Lowery and Huffington Post reporter Ryan Reilly were briefly detained, then released without charges, he wrote on the Washington Post’s website.
Marty Baron, the executive editor of the Washington Post, said he was “appalled” at how reporters were being treated.
“There was absolutely no justification for his arrest,” Baron said in a statement.
Nixon, who canceled a trip to the state fair to head to Ferguson, said he planned to urge both the police and residents to refrain from violence.
“The worsening situation in Ferguson is deeply troubling, and does not represent who we are as Missourians or as Americans,” Nixon, a 58-year-old Democrat, said in a statement. “While we all respect the solemn responsibility of our law enforcement officers to protect the public, we must also safeguard the rights of Missourians to peaceably assemble and the rights of the press to report on matters of public concern.”
