USW President: U.S. Chamber Has Become ‘A Consulting Firm To Teach Companies’ About Outsourcing

As ThinkProgress has previously reported, over a million jobs have been lost due to outsourcing since 1994. One of the main organizations promoting outsourcing has been the US Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been taking money from foreign corporations and holding clinics on how to outsource American jobs, such as one sponsored by billionaire Sheldon Adelson “inviting local businesses in Florida to come to Jacksonville and learn about outsourcing from Chinese government officials like Li Haiyan, the Counselor for Economic Affairs for the People’s Republic of China, U.S. Chamber lobbyist Joseph Fawkner, and BChinaB.â€

Exactly! Wake up workers, wake up unions, wake up small businesses, wake up big corporations, wake up banks, wake up citizens. The US Chamber is right on many issues, however, it is wrong on immigration, it is wrong on labor issues, it is wrong on trade issues, and because it's wrong on these issues, it no longer deserves the support of American Businesses or the American People who support American Businesses.

You can't be a US Chamber of Commerce when you're big three policies destroy the US economy, bankrupt our nation and impoverish our citizens.

Small businesses ARE awake, they are represented by the NFIB which has many positions opposite that of the Anti-US Chamber of Commerce.
