Be Very Careful At The Supermarket

    September 7, 2015

    By Tracy Coleman

Smithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the USA was sold in September to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders!! The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels of Morrell, Eckrich, Krakus, Cudahy, Premium Ham, Cook’s and Gwaltney

The same with many chickens. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be labelled is that they WERE RAISED IN THE USA . Not that they were processed in China !!!

Our great FDA at work again. The chickens will be all processed and most sold to fast food restaurants for sandwiches, along with schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing are not nearly equal to the requirements here.

We recently learned that Starkist Tuna is now owned by Korea , and is in big conflict with the U.S.concerning quality, safety, and records, which Korea refuses to produce.

Read several articles on Google about this, and even one that was defending the eating of tilapia said to avoid the fish that came from China ?

Also, I had just returned home from buying Albertson’s 4-day special of 4 bags of frozen tilapia for the price of one? Sure enough, on the top of the bags, it read “farm raised”, and on the bottom in small print it said, ” China ”

Recently a Food inspector on TV said he had lived overseas and he had seen the filthy conditions their foods are raised and processed in. Some foreign workers have to wear masks as they work in these places, because the food is so rotten, it makes them want to throw up. Many of their fish on Fish Farms are fed raw sewage daily. He said he has seen so much filth throughout their food growing and processing that he would “never” eat any of it. They raise it, put some food coloring and some flavorings on it, then they ship it to the USA & Canada for YOU to consume and feed to YOUR families. They have no Food & Safety Inspectors. They ship it to you to buy and poison your families and friends with.

Imported food we eat and the junk we buy:

Green Giant frozen vegetables are from China,
and so are most of Europe ‘s Best.

Arctic Gardens are OK so is Birdseye.

*Never buy the grocery store garlic unless it is clearly marked from USA or Canada *, the other stuff is grown in people poop (even worse than chicken poop). China is the largest producer of garlic in the world; U.S. is next.

*Buy only local honey*, much honey is shipped in huge containers from China and re-packed here.
Cold-FX is grown and packed in China and is full of fecal bacteria. Doesn’t work anyway, big scam.

If the country of origin is not clearly marked, beware

    If produce, ask an employee.

Watch out for packages which state “prepared for”, “packed by” or “imported by”. We don’t understand the lack of mandatory labelling, especially the produce.

The country of origin should be clearly shown on the item in the store.

Go to the local farmers’ markets in season and keep a wary eye open the rest of the year.

Please read this very carefully, and read to the very bottom. It’s important for all of us.

How is it possible to ship food from China cheaper than having it produced in the U. S. or Canada ? It is not, it is part of Obama’s ‘trade agreement’ with China .

FOR EXAMPLE THE “OUR FAMILY” BRAND OF MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN ‘FROM CHINA ‘. – SO, for a FEW MORE CENTS, BUY THE * LIBERTY * BRAND, *GOLD BRAND or DOLE from CALIFORNIA *.
Beware, Costco sells canned peaches and pears in a plastic jar that come from China .

ALL “HIGH LINER” AND MOST OTHER FROZEN FISH PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA OR INDONESIA . THE PACKAGE MAY SAY “PACIFIC SALMON” ON THE FRONT, BUT LOOK FOR THE SMALL PRINT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM FISH FARMS IN THE ORIENT WHERE THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS ON WHAT IS FED TO THESE FISH.

*Recently The Montreal Gazette had an article* by the Canadian Government on how Chinese feed the fish: They suspend chicken wire crates over the fish ponds, and the fish feed on chicken poop.

If you search the internet about what the Chinese feed their fish, you’ll be alarmed; eg: growth hormones, expired anti- biotic from humans? Never buy any type of fish or shellfish that comes from these countries: Vietnam , China or the Philippines .

Steinfeld’s Pickles are made in India – just as bad!

Another example is in canned mushrooms. No-Name brand comes from Indonesia .

Also check those little fruit cups. They used to be made in Canada in the Niagara region until about 2 years ago. They are now packaged in China . Most sold in Aldi stores.

While the Chinese export inferior and even toxic products, dangerous toys, and goods to be sold in North American markets, the media wrings its hands! Yet, 70% of North Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.

Well, duh! Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, CANADA and the U.S.

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says ‘Made in China ‘ or ‘PRC’ (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at what you can do without.

    THINK ABOUT THIS

If 200 million North Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that’s a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor fast! The downside? Some Canadian/American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory.

Just one month of trading losses will hit the Chinese for 8% of their North American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness are worth it.
*START NOW and don’t stop, and tell your friends*

Send this to everybody you know. Let’s show them that we are intelligent, and NOBODY can take us for granted *Start reading labels more closely and buy American even if it cost a few cents more*.

This is obama's doing. mr global - not worthy of high office - too Un-American. Whether born in kenya or in hawaii, he lived a muslim life in indonesia and his college records are sealed possibly to not disclose his "foreign student" pass.

Stock holders sell out for the $$$. Yes we know chinese will pay but where is the allegiance to America? No scruples! Maybe the major share holders are actually foreigners as seen with our NY Times having a mexican as major share holder and of course the paper bashes Trump daily in multiple articles - it is non stop.

Another reason to uphold the 2 citizen parents for high office. There is not enough allegiance to our country otherwise. The Constitution was written by the wise and foresighted. Obama's father was NOT a citizen of USA and in fact seems to have been married to an african woman at obama's birth time.

Too much international commerce is encouraged, allowed and the TPP trade deal would intensify this situation with the potus being able to allow as many foreign workers from the countries involved to be here and work for pennies. Needless to say ALL DISEASES WILL COME TOO.

It is just unreal that ANY political rep, senator would vote for such destruction to America and Americans. Some claimed it would help sell American made goods - an actual pittance compared to the trade off.

obama used stim funds to expand solar energy but instead of giving the contracts to our trained USA workers to produce the units, he gave it to china and our workers laid off/ factories closed. obama gave our country away and under the direction of those that placed him in office. soros is said to be involved with some of this for the collapse of America so he can break the bank as he did in EU and make billions - he is a very sick, demented person and may God call him soon and get him out of our hair.

Selling out of our solar workers was a few years back but it shows obama has been anti-American for some time and thus the policies of Americans having to accept substandard food sources or kids toys painted with lead or baby formula laced with toxic melamine: there is no excuse for our Alaska salmon business to be given to the chinese to produce a product. Our companies should be processing our fish. Selling our other food sources to china for slaughtering, processing, packaging aka control of our food sources is just OFF THE WALL WRONG!

    High on the Hog

Smithfield Foods was sold to a Chinese company in 2013, but China won't be slaughtering and processing hogs raised in the U.S. and shipping them back to America.

CLAIM: Smithfield Foods was sold to a Chinese company, and China will be slaughtering and processing hogs raised in the U.S. and shipping them back to America.

    MIXTURE

    WHAT'S TRUE:
Smithfield Foods was sold to a Chinese company in 2013.

WHAT'S FALSE: China will not be slaughtering and processing hogs raised in the U.S. and shipping them back to America.

EXAMPLE: [Collected via e-mail, July 2014]
    Bad Food (A MUST READ)

Don't forget that Smithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the USA was sold in September to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders!! The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels: of Morrell, Eckrich, Krakus, Cudahy, Premium Hams, Cook's, Gwaltney. The same with many chickens. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be labeled is that they ... WERE RAISED IN THE USA. Not that they were processed in China!!! Our great FDA at work again. The chickens will be all processed and most sold to fast food restaurants for sandwiches, along with schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing are not nearly equal — and, by far — to the requirements here.

ORIGIN:Virginia-based Smithfield Foods is the world's largest hog farmer and pork processor, vending packaged meat products in the U.S. under a variety of brand names such as Smithfield, Eckrich, Farmland, Armour, John Morrell, Kretschmar, Curly's, Carando, Cook's, Margherita, Gwaltney, and Healthy Ones.

In September 2013 Smithfield Foods was acquired by China's biggest meat processor, Shuanghui International Holdings, in the largest acquisition ever of a U.S. company by a Chinese one — a deal that raised concerns in America about a Chinese food company's controlling a major U.S. meat supplier. However, we could find no verification for the statement made in the item quoted above that henceforth, Smithfield "hogs will still be raised here [in the U.S.], but slaughtered and packaged for sale [in China] before being sent back here," labeled simply "Raised in the U.S.A." under FDA regulations.

(The sale of domestic and imported meat in the U.S. is regulated by the Department of Agriculture, not the Food and Drug Administration.)

The major factor behind Shuanghui's acquisition of Smithfield was to secure a supply of pork to feed rising demand in China (a country that is now the world's biggest pork market), not to export pork products from China to the U.S.:

The Chinese company is looking to reduce supply uncertainties that come along with the scarcity of livestock feed in order to be able meet the rising demand [for pork] at home. It also aims to reduce quality concerns at the same time by selling "American" meat to consumers in China.
Pork is the most popular meat in China as it forms more than three-fourths of total meat consumption in the country. The nation produced more than half the world's total pork in 2012, while consumers spent around $183 billion consuming it. Moreover, demand for the meat is only rising as disposable incomes of more than 1.3 billion people in China are rising.A Chinese acquisition of a U.S. processor doesn't mean that Americans will be eating crock Chinese cuts. The trade in pork is all the other way, and so is the technology transfer that Chinese firms crave as they seek to consolidate a fragmented, poorly run industry. Shuanghui isn’t looking to offload Chinese pork in Los Angeles. What it wants is to become the leading player in China.

Moreover, people engaged in that industry have told us that the notion of a Chinese-owned company raising hogs in the U.S., shipping them live all the way to China for slaughtering and processing, then exporting the meat back into the U.S. would be prohibitively cost-inefficient — especially since the slaughtering and processing infrastructures already exist in the U.S., and the Chinese domestic market for pork is far, far larger than the U.S. market for pork.

I stopped buying Smithfield when it was sold to China. As far as information from snopes goes..... well, I don't believe Snopes either.

Fact-Checking Snopes: Website’s Political ‘Fact-Checker’ Is Just A Failed Liberal Blogger

Popular myth-busting website Snopes originally gained recognition for being the go-to site for disproving outlandish urban legends -such as the presence of UFOs in Haiti or the existence of human-animal hybrids in the Amazon jungle.

Recently, however, the site has tried to pose as a political fact-checker. But Snopes’ “fact-checking” looks more like playing defense for prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton and it’s political “fact-checker” describes herself as a liberal and has called Republicans “regressive” and afraid of “female agency.”

Snopes’ main political fact-checker is a writer named Kim Lacapria. Before writing for Snopes, Lacapria wrote for Inquisitr, a blog that — oddly enough — is known for publishing fake quotes and even downright hoaxes as much as anything else.

While at Inquisitr, the future “fact-checker” consistently displayed clear partisanship.

She described herself as “openly left-leaning” and a liberal. She trashed the Tea Party as teahadists. She called Bill Clinton “one of our greatest” presidents. She claimed that conservatives only criticized Lena Dunham’s comparison of voting to sex because they “fear female agency.”

She once wrote: “Like many GOP ideas about the poor, the panic about using food stamps for alcohol, pornography or guns seems to have been cut from whole cloth–or more likely, the ideas many have about the fantasy of poverty.” (A simple fact-check would show that food stamp fraud does occur and costs taxpayers tens of millions.)

Lacapria even accused the Bush administration of being “at least guilty of criminal negligence” in the September 11 attacks. (The future “fact-checker” offered no evidence to support her accusation.)
Her columns apparently failed to impress her readership, oftentimes failing to get more than 10-20 shares.

After blogging the Inquisitr, Lacapria joined Snopes, where she regularly plays defense for her fellow liberals.

She wrote a “fact check” article about Jimmy Carter’s unilateral ban of Iranian nationals from entering the country that looks more like an opinion column arguing against Donald Trump’s proposed Muslim ban.
Similarly, Lacapria — in another “fact check” article — argued Hillary Clinton hadn’t included Benghazi at all in her infamous “we didn’t lose a single person in Libya” gaffe. Lacapria claimed Clinton only meant to refer to the 2011 invasion of Libya (but not the 2012 Benghazi attack) but offered little fact-based evidence to support her claim.

After the Orlando terror attack, Lacapria claimed that just because Omar Mateen was a registered Democrat with an active voter registration status didn’t mean he was actually a Democrat. Her “fact check” argued that he might “have chosen a random political affiliation when he initially registered.”
Lacapria even tried to contradict the former Facebook workers who admitted that Facebook regularly censors conservative news, dismissing the news as “rumors.”

In that “fact check” article, Lacapria argued that “Facebook Trending’s blacklisting of ‘junk topics’ was not only not a scandalous development, but to be expected following the social network’s crackdown on fake news sites.” The opinion-heavy article was mockingly titled: The Algorithm Is Gonna Get You.

Lacapria again played defense for Clinton in a fact check article when she claimed: “Outrage over an expensive Armani jacket worn by Hillary Clinton was peppered with inaccurate details.”

One of the “inaccurate details” cited by Lacapria was that, “The cost of men’s suits worn by fellow politicians didn’t appear in the article for contrast.” She also argued the speech Clinton gave while wearing the $12,495 jacket, which discussed “raising wages and reducing inequality,” wasn’t actually about income inequality.
