VIDEO: Hillary, Huma dance cares away at India wedding

    DECEMBER 11, 2018

Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin attended the wedding of the daughter of India’s richest man this past weekend, and when in India, Hillary’s gotta dance.

The failed presidential candidate was center stage as the music blasted and everyone grooved at the Ambani wedding.

The routine started with Hillary doing a hand routine, even getting into the groove with John Kerry.

She flicked her hands, before grabbing the patties of another attendee and really getting down.

She then waved her hand in the air before giving several high-fives.

Y’all this video of @HillaryClinton and @JohnKerry dancing with Bollywood stars I grew up fawning over means EVERYTHING to this Indian American.

Hillary and Huma were there several days. Here she is lurking in the background as Hillary — apparently attempting to be incognito, posed with the family:

Hillary’s dance moves were a stark difference from the last time she was in India and had a hard time going down some steps.

Back in March, Hillary and Huma were visiting Jahaz Mahal in Dhar’s Mandu, and Clinton was attempting to descend about 15 stairs.

She was holding the arm of an aide.

With Huma following behind, Clinton slipped about halfway down the descent, nearly tumbling down.

A man walking in front of her jumped to grab her as she reached for him.

Despite both men helping her get to the bottom of the stairs, she slipped again, nearly doing the splits.

Huma stopped to watch as Clinton attempted to regain her balance.

Hillary kicked off her sandals to get to the bottom of the stairs.

No one seemed alarmed by the startling display.

Mukesh Ambani is India's richest man and owns Reliance Industries Limeted (RIL) Tata was on the board of the Clinton foundation.

Reliance Industries Crosses Tata Consultancy Services As India’s Most Valuable Company

    April 18 2017, 1:48 AMApril 18 2017, 3:01 AM

Reliance Industries Ltd. reclaimed its position as India’s most-valuable company briefly on Tuesday morning trade, helped by a rally driven by its mobile services arm’s decision to end free services.

The Mukesh Ambani-owned company reached a valuation of Rs 4,57,136 crore at 10:20 a.m., ahead of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., which led the market capitalisation rankings for nearly four years.

Reliance Industries’ market value has surged nearly 30 percent year-to-date, its best gains in 11 years.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.’s decision to end free data plans for customers and a better retention ratio led to the rally. Reliance Jio, which provided free services to its customers from September 5, 2016, started charging for its services from April 1, 2017. The newest telecom operator also managed to retain 7.2 crore of its customers during its transition to paid services, becoming the fifth largest mobile services carrier in India by subscriber base.

Tata Consultancy Services, on the other hand, has given a negative return over the last one year. Its shares fell 6.3 percent compared to a 16.5 percent rise in the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex Index.

The information technology industry, including TCS, has seen muted growth with a fall in sales over the past year. More recently, U.S. President Donald Trump’s review of H-1B visa norms is leading to further uncertainties. H-1B visa applications are vital for outsourcing IT companies like TCS.

The TCS stock has fallen 7.9 percent in the last 30 days, compared to a 4.5 percent average decline for its peers, according to Bloomberg data. The company is expected to post another quarter of muted growth and a fall in profit in its fourth quarter earnings due on Tuesday.

Among the top five most valued companies, only 69 percent of the analysts tracked by Bloomberg have a ‘buy’ rating on Reliance Industries as against a 93 percent and 89 percent ‘buy’ ratings for ITC Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd.

Beyonce, Bollywood, Hillary as India’s richest daughter weds

MUMBAI, Dec 12 —Topping anything in hit film Crazy Rich Asians, the only daughter of India’s richest man ties the knot today after days of lavish celebrations that included a Beyonce concert in a lakeside palace.

Isha Ambani, whose father is tycoon Mukesh Ambani, was set to wed Anand Piramal, son of Indian billionaire industrialist Ajay Piramal, in the Ambanis’ 27-storey home in Mumbai.

Days of pre-wedding festivities at a sprawling palace in Udaipur in the desert state of Rajasthan included a concert by Beyonce, purportedly the bride’s favourite singer.

Attendees included Hillary Clinton, former US Secretary of State John Kerry and dozens of Bollywood stars including Salman Khan and Aamir Khan as well as cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar.

Joining them was a who’s-who of India’s super-rich elite, arriving on dozens of specially chartered flights into Udaipur’s normally sleepy airport and whisked away in expensive cars.

Actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas, who themselves became husband and wife earlier this month, were also guests at Udaipur’s City Palace on the banks of Lake Pichola.

Today evening’s actual wedding was set to be a more private affair with around 600 close friends and family, and some politicians, expected to be on the guest list.

There was a high police presence in the south Mumbai area around the Ambanis’ home, which is called Antilia and reportedly cost over US$1 billion (RM4.18 billion) when it was completed in 2010.

Indian newspapers have been abuzz with speculation about the total cost of the wedding. Conservative estimates have put it around US$15 million while others insist US$100 million is closer to the truth.

Ambani, 27 and Piramal, 33 got engaged at Lake Como in Italy in September and the high-profile wedding brings together two of India’s biggest industrialist families.

Mukesh Ambani is the chairman of oil-to-telecoms conglomerate Reliance Industries. He is worth more than US$47 billion and recently overtook China’s Jack Ma as Asia’s wealthiest man.

The respective families will hold several other receptions across India’s financial capital in the coming days.

The wedding caps a big month for what social media users have been calling “big fat Indian weddings”. The Priyanka-Jonas nuptials came shortly after Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh wed.

    Not everyone is happy though.

“Isha Ambani’s wedding is a perfect example of the wealth inequality in India,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Here you have one of the richest families in the nation spending so much while millions still can’t even afford food or shelter,” she added.

“The new standard for lavish Indian wedding is Beyonce. Imagine,” tweeted another. — AFP
