Thread: Warning to Drivers in L.A...my donation to Illegals

I just have to post this for all of our members who live or drive in LA County.

On March 20, I made a right hand turn on a "no right turn on red" sign. I didn't see the sign because I was too busy watching a Police car on the other side of Santa Monica Blvd. All of a sudden that Police car did a U-turn in the middle of the street and starting chasing me with red lights blaring and loud speak on...telling me to pull over. After the officer told me what I did, I knew my goose was cooked, and didn't try to argue the ticket. I was more angry at myself for not paying attention..it was really careless on my part.

Well, my carelessness is costing a fortune! I almost had a stroke when I got the notice from LA Superior Court yesterday...the bail amount is $741.00!!!! This is the first moving violation I've had in years, so it came as a total shock! I haven't even checked the prices for online traffic school...but I can imagine how expensive that's going to be! This city should be rolling in money...but the illegals are taking all of it!

LA is becoming a kleptocracy, and I just want to warn other drivers to be very careful...it can cost you dearly!

Just curious. What if you would have told the officer you were an illegal alien and given him a fake name?

Then the potential Insurance surcharge if you get another ticket.

Be sure to take that one to court with everything you have said here. But don't try to tell the judge that you are being unfairly treated in comparison to illegal aliens. You don't know where the judge is going to be coming from, politically, so just play it cool.
