Letter of The Day: Paul Deserves To Be Heard In GOP Debates

I noticed that the chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, Saul Anuzis, is seeking to have GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul removed from future debates for holding an opinion he finds disagreeable.

In Iraq, more than 3,330 Americans have laid down their lives in the name of freedom. In dying they give eternal life to the ideas for which they died.

What does it say about today's Republican Party when Chairman Anuzis tries to extinguish a viewpoint that displeases him? Perhaps freedom is nice so long as it conforms to preapproved talking points.

Ron Paul most definitely needs to be heard and any effort by any State or other Republican Party organization will be considered yet another betrayal of this party to its members.

It just seems that the government is trying to take more and more away. I think that Bush has done so much wrong that anyone in Political Office just thinks they can do and say what they want because it can't be as bad as what Bush has done to this country. It is really a tough road to travel when you can't trust a party. It all boils down to, do you trust the man. Political Party does not not mean a thing anymore. They are to much the same.
