The word is to silence conservative talk radio

The word is to silence conservative talk radio

Conservative talk radio and the Internet have fast become a wealth of well researched honest opinion pieces written by conservative writers and bloggers. The New Media is compiled of talk radio and websites which points to the truth that is definitely lacking in the sea of hostile and biased liberalism, or the Old Media.

"MSNBC.com identified 144 journalists who made political contributions from 2004 through the start of the 2008 campaign, according to the public records of the Federal Election Commission. Most of the newsroom checkbooks leaned to the left: 125 journalists gave to Democrats and liberal causes. Only 17 gave to Republicans. Two gave to both parties." link
    — Bill Dedman Investigative reporter MSNBC

Before conservative talk radio, Americans had little understanding about the views of liberals and their socialistic agenda. We did not know about their hate and blame America first type of thinking. They always appeared as angels of light. America opened its homes to television and read newspapers that we're stealthily brainwashing them.

We were fed only their thoughts and opinions disguised as news. We believed that these happy friendly faces were our friends. In actuality, people like Walter Cronkite were the biggest liberal water carrying propagandists for a political party that began changing a long time ago. Yet, back in the politically naive late 50's and early 60's, he was thought of as a hallmark of truth. In 1962 Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the party left me."

Today's aggressive Democrats are not ashamed to be brazenly caustic and foul mouthed as they go about undermining our country's best interests.

Cronkite joined CBS in the 50's. He enjoyed his heydays on during the 1970's and 1980's. At one time he was considered the most trusted man in America. Who knew that he was a far leftist in sheep's clothing? He took on the appearance of professionalism. His fatherly demeanor was impressive and trusting.

Uncle Walter was there to wipe the tears of America when President J. F. Kennedy was assassinated. President Kennedy depended on his buddies in the media to keep secret his philandering from Joe and Jane public. Instead we were given visions of Camelot, little John John, a beautiful first lady and a devoted happily married president. It was all an illusion created by the old media.

"In his retirement, Cronkite has been unabashed in his liberal sentiments. He is a semi-regular on the liberal Huffington Posts, out front attacking Christian conservatives and assailing the Bush administration policy on global warming. His view on Iraq? But of course — get out!

"Is Walter Cronkite a man who deserves to be honored for his contributions to American life? Absolutely.

"But for the record, all of those contributions should be honored, however unintentional. For Fox News and every conservative radio show, magazine, website, and editorial page to succeed they had to have an audience. Walter Cronkite, with his relentless, decades-long delivery of his liberal world view as "the way it is" created that audience almost single-handedly.

"Thanks, Uncle Walter. What would conservatives have done without you?"

As the 2008 election nears, beware. Conservative talk shows may become a thing of the past if Democrats take over the White House. We have seen the vicious attacks made on President Bush, the war on terror, Iraq and our troops. The very same strategy will be unleashed to eliminate conservative radio. Talk radio is the only bastion of truth where everyone has a forum to speak out. We can only stop liberals by shining the light of day on their twisted disconnected mind-set and intolerable actions.

If conservative talk radio is removed, our country will become stifled into darkness. We will return to the bad old days of the likes of Walter Cronkite and his socialist fellow travelers who ruled the airwaves.

Listen to the words of the DNC presidential candidates closely. Open your eyes and ears. Nothing good is being touted by the liberal voices. There is no longer the need to mince words. The difference between communism and socialism blurs within the Democrat Party They will eventually bring a free country to its knees and cause our demise. All patriots must rise and vote to stop them.

    Excerpts From CNS News:
Democrats' New 'Fairness' Push May Silence Conservative Radio Hosts, Critics Say
    By Fred Lucas: Staff Writer

"Democrats in Congress are pushing for legislation that they say would bring more balance to the media, but critics say would muzzle conservative voices.

"The Fairness Doctrine, a federal regulation requiring broadcasters to present both sides of a controversial issue, was enforced by the Federal Communications Commission from 1949 to 1987, when it was dropped during the Reagan administration.

"Many in the broadcast industry credit the dropping of the rule to the rise of conservative talk radio that became a booming industry, featuring personalities like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham.

"Bringing back the regulation will ensure more even-handed coverage of political issues, said Jeff Lieberson, spokesman for Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-N.Y.), who has proposed the 'Media Ownership Reform Act.' "

" 'The political interests of media owners can have a direct and indirect effect on the way news is presented to the public, so it's important that all sides are heard,' Lieberson told Cybercast News Service Tuesday.

"The Fairness Doctrine is a key component of Hinchey's bill, which also sets tighter limits on media ownership. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has proposed a companion bill in the Senate.

"'This is not an attempt to muzzle them at all,' Lieberson said of conservative talk show hosts who are opposed to the Fairness Doctrine.'They will still be heard. This will ensure that different views that are not theirs will also be heard. ' " Full Article

We should not be surprised if Fox turns its back on conservatives. Profits motivate Rupert Murdock. Yes, it must be very chic to be a liberal, and try to silence talk radio.

There are too many who refuse to see that our country is freefalling. America is slowly but surely toppling into socialism and moral decay. Things will not improve as long as Democrats further erode this great land called America.

Republicans are doing the same thing. I say lets change both parties. They need to shape up or ship out.

Oh, now I sound like my mother.
