Thread: Wow, It's Scary

The gentleman is referring to my statement:

"GUYMAN, in case someone failed to tell you all the Vietnam hero's came home in body bags which included a lot of my friends. The rest were just lucky."

I firmly believe that I earned the right to make that statement between 1966 to 1968. Since I am one of the lucky ones I will stand behind my statement. Should anyone have a problem with it they can go pound sand where the sun don't shine. I have nothing further to say about that subject.

but you better hope that the immigration issue can be discussed in isolation, because if other issues come up you're going to lose alot of people.

Why on earth would you want to discuss the subject of immigration in isolation? It's right around us, every day you walk out the door, go to work, pickup the phone and have to press 1 for Spanish or 2 for English. I do believe the issue/problem needs to be address and right out in the open.

I too am one of the lucky ones and I sure as hell don't think of myself as a hero.

thanks and same to you. But when it was down to grunt in the dirt we know it was for the guy next to us not no apple pie or glory and all that crap but for our brothers no matter what he looked like. And that moment in time that only some understand makes us all brothers.

I agree, we have let these people hang out in the shadows too long. We need them out in front of us and pointed out. No more ignoring them. We see them, we know where they are, we know what they are doing and we should stop it.
