The coal mining states (West Virginia for one) are so depressed, yet the coal mining union, United Mine Workers of American, has endorsed Obama for President.

It’s a big industry down there. There has been plenty of talk at boosting it’s output and rebuilding the economy of Illinois. I’m guessing that won’t happen now.

What the hell, Obama is no longer an Illinois Senator, and doesn’t have to answer to us anymore![

Perhaps in the liberal mind this could be viewed as a win-win situation. Ofcourse I am not sure if he is sending "price signals" or smoke signals to the Chinese(?)

Tax the hell out of domestic consumption, thereby creating a greater stream of revenue to the government and then sell the surplus to the Chinese who have plenty of carbon credits and have a greater justifiable need for more energy resources.
