NICE WORK, Ex_OC. These look to be the ones we should contact FIRST, right away. Then move onto other Representatives.
NOTE: Harrison is also the Judiciary Committee Chairman

SC House Reaches Agreement on Immigration Bill, Senate Does Not

    Wednesday, Apr 23, 2008 - 01:54 PM

Chairman of the House, Representative Jim Harrison, says the House has signed an agreement for the newly proposed immigration bill, but the Senate has not.

The new bill will try to prevent employers from firing a current employee and replacing him with an illegal immigrant. If this does happen, the former employee can sue to get his/her job back.

Harrison says he won’t present the agreement to the full House to see if it’ll go along until the senators sign it. Then the full House and Senate will have to approve the final agreement.

Stay tuned to News Channel 7 for the latest developments on this bill.

Just reporting in that I did my calls and emails this morning. I checked in at another thread. Can't find it now, so didn't know everyone was reporting in on this one.

This sounds a bit bizarre. What does everyone make of this?:

House Walks Out On Immigration Bill

Ritchie vows to fight for strong illegal immigration reform

Columbia, SC – The House today walked out on illegal immigration reform. The Senate calls on the House to live up to its agreement. Less than 24 hours after agreeing to ask their members for a vote on private employer verification, the House failed to follow through on their agreement. After more than a week of political rhetoric, the House has failed again to take a decisive vote on legislation addressing private employer verification requirements.

Well sounds like they coward out at the last minute, the voters of SC need to find out who they are and get rid of them, probably listening to businesses and special interest groups....
