[quote="Bulldogger"]Just called Sen Kyl office and talked to a polite well informed staffer that informed me Kyl now has a public statement about the Dream Act. This may not be a direct quote because she talked very quickly.[quote] “Sen. Kly is concerned about securing the borders and recently introduced legislation to insure they are secure. The Senator is reviewing the Dream Act and cannot comment on how he will vote because there may be a change of language in the amendment before it comes to the floor for a voteâ€

I just had to do it...couldn't help myself:

I called Dick Durbin's office and said I had a question:

"Is Senator Durbin an illegal alien" ?

    silence

"Does he have a permanent green card" ?

    silence

"Can you get back to me on those items" ?

    silence...then disconnect

If they are making deals in the back room then it could be a good signal that they are not confident in the 60 votes. Let’s see if Dick changes the 3 year college/ age language < Just pure speculation on my part.

I'm really confused now. Numbers is still listing 23 names, but on the Home page it says 20. So is it 20 or 23? If 3 have changed, who are they?

I like that better than asking if the work for the Mexican Government. Who said this is all work and no fun?

Legislation has been purposed on several occasions that would make it easier for each state to decide whether or not to offer in-state tuition rates to undocumented immigrants who grew up in the U.S. This legislation is commonly known as the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act). If this proposal became law, the Maryland legislature would have to pass legislation specifying which Maryland resident would be eligible for in-state tuition rates.

I want you to know that your views on this proposal will be very helpful to me as the Senate continues to discuss immigration reform.

Thanks again for getting in touch with me. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you in the future.

    Sincerely,

I can't believe you got a response out of her! I've been bugging her by email and phone calls for ages and haven't gotten anything but maybe 1 generic letter.
