Great Philly Interview - 50K Watt WPHT - Chris Stigall Interviewing Ron Paul
Submitted by GeneLouis on Tue, 04/24/2012 - 16:08in
Another media appearance as a reaction to the thousands who came out to see Dr. Paul in the cold rain on Sunday. It was a good twenty minute radio interview that took place just as the PA polls were opening this morning. Amy's song was used as a lead in to the interview.

With zero percent of precincts reporting Politico has called it for Romney
Submitted by Angel C on Tue, 04/24/2012 - 19:37
Ron Paul 2012
How is it people believe this trash?
"Zero percent of the polls are reporting in on Tuesday. The polls have only closed in the state of Delaware out of the five states that have their primaries Tuesday. That hasn't stopped Politico from reporting that Romney is "poised for a rout".
Polls closed at 8 o'clock in Delaware, but remain open until 9 p.m. in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New York, and Connecticut. Politico reported at 8:10 p.m. that the only state which may not be a Romney win is Delaware, where Gingrich has been focusing his campaign for the last few weeks.
Politico points out that Romney has not yet secured enough delegates to clinch the Republican nomination for president and fails to mention that reports have now come out that Ron Paul actually did win the states of Iowa and Minnesota.
Rachael Maddow discussed how the Ron Paul delegate plan seems to be working, but Politico only mentions Ron Paul once in their hard-hitting voter piece. Politico is unsure whether Ron Paul will "take the hint" and drop out of the presidential race.
This writer can easily answer that for Politico. Ron Paul is in it to win it."

Help Ron Paul Win the Last Caucus State! Louisiana (Saturday 4/2
Submitted by free.alive on Sun, 04/22/2012 - 19:23
Delegates
Louisiana
Louisiana is a state that Ron Paul can definitely win!
Nearly all Louisiana's 46 national delegates are chosen by the delegates attending the state convention. Those state convention delegates will be elected at Saturday's caucus.
Louisiana's caucus is very different than caucuses in most states. There are no meetings or speeches, and you don't need to know Robert's Rules. In fact, you could more accurately call it a "caucus vote," since voters will literally show up at one of 30 locations statewide between the hours of 8:30 am and 12pm Saturday and cast their vote for delegates on a paper ballot.
There will be no presidential candidates on the ballot - only delegates. They are elected on slates, with each congressional district electing a different group of delegates to the State Convention. Voters can either vote for 25 individual delegates and 12 alternates, or they can vote for an entire slate.
There are 9 different slates on the ballot statewide, but the Ron Paul campaign has the most complete slate of all the groups on the ballot. Ron Paul is the most organized, and has the establishment Republicans terrified he may actually win on Saturday. Since only about 10,000 people voted in 2008, turnout could be very, very small - giving the Ron Paul campaign a HUGE advantage!
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
The campaign and the Louisiana grassroots need all the help they can get! If you are in Los Angeles or New York City, please head to the phone banks there and help them make calls into Louisiana. If you're in the Baton Rouge area, please help them at the Baton Rouge phone bank. If you're anywhere else in the state, plug in with the grassroots by contacting the people below.
If you live in neighboring states, please drive down to Baton Rouge. They have food and housing for committed volunteers who will help make calls starting Monday. Anyone who can help at locations on Saturday will be given instructions, materials and the plan to win.
If you are anywhere else in the country, please join the campaign's Phone From Home program (phone.ronpaul2012.com) and help find more Ron Paul supporters in Louisiana, and then turn them out to vote!
Contact Doug or JB in Baton Rouge to learn how you can help by calling 225-366-7712 or 225-532-3063, or emailing jbb@ronpaul2012.com!

King County GOP leader boots caucus outside after Ron Paul backers take over

Over the weekend, Republicans in the 37th Legislative District gathered to choose delegates to the state GOP convention.
The caucus started out Saturday morning inside Dimmitt Middle School. But it didn't end inside the building.
After supporters of Texas Congressman Ron Paul elected one of their own to chair of the meeting, the gathering was booted to an outside basketball court by King County Republican Party Chairman Lori Sotelo.
The move came after attendees irritated Sotelo by rejecting her choice to run the caucus - former King County Councilman David Irons.
Instead, the group voted for Tamara Smilanich, a Paul supporter.
That prompted Sotelo to declare the meeting was no longer a Republican Party event - but a Ron Paul campaign event.
Sotelo says she asked the group to continue its meeting outside because the King County Republican Party -- not the Paul campaign -- had paid for the facility and for the insurance. She added that Smilanich stopped her from addressing the group.
"I said, 'I am going to have to step away from responsibility and have to ask you to take your caucus elsewhere,' " Sotelo said in an interview.
Sotelo called Smilanich a Paul campaign "operative" who did not have the experience to run the caucus. She said there was no reason for the Paul supporters to "take over" the meeting -- they had numbers and were going to elect their favored delegates no matter who chaired the caucus.
"There is no other campaign that feels the need to poke the party in the eye like the Ron Paul campaign," said Sotelo. "For heaven's sake stop hitting us with a firehose."
But Smilanich said she saw nothing wrong with what happened at the caucus.
"There was a vote and the vote went to elect [the chairman] who the body wanted. Everything was legitimate," Smilanich said.
Even though the GOP had reserved the room until 2 p.m., the meeting was pushed outside to the basketball court at about 12:30 p.m. The caucus finished its business outside in the sun, and elected 11 Ron Paul supporters to the state convention, which begins May 31 in Tacoma.
Despite asserting the caucus had ceased to be a Republican Party function once Smilanich was elected chair, Sotelo said she had no plans to challenge the legitimacy of those delegates.
One caucus attendee, Michael Brubaker, was so upset by Sotelo's actions he's suing her in small claims court. That's because each caucus-goer paid $10 to participate - money Sotelo said was to help pay for the party's expenses for using the school. But Sotelo refused to refund the money after the group was moved outside.
"She shouldn't have taken our money and kicked us out," Brubaker said.
The dust-up is the latest in a series of disputes between Paul supporters and local GOP officials.
Paul's supporters have repeatedly accused GOP leaders of conspiring against his campaign.
Republican leaders, meanwhile, have been irritated at what they see as rude, disruptive and paranoid behavior by the Paul supporters.
They're also concerned that many Paul supporters have refused to say they'll back the Republican Party's presidential nominee, now all but certain to be Mitt Romney.
Indeed, Smilanich said she would have considered backing Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator who recently suspended his presidential campaign.
But, she said, "I don't care for Mitt Romney."

Attention To Newt & Santorum Voters: Come On Over!
Submitted by zooamerica on Tue, 04/24/2012 - 18:14
Daily Paul Liberty Forum
How can we all as Republicans unite in these late stages of the GOP race to make sure Obama is a one term president?
How can we all as Republicans take our country back?
If Newt's and Rick's supporters were to rally behind Ron Paul, WE can kiss Romney goodbye, and defeat Barack Obama in November.
I think most of the Gingrich and Santorum backers are smart enough to know that Mitt Romney has too much in common with John Kerry and John McCain.
Join the party, and let's take America back for good.
With arms wide open...

What is going on in Pennsylvania?

Ron Paul 2012
Pennsylvania
As I listen to Wolf Blitzer announce on CNN at 9.08 pm ET quote: "Ron Paul will not get the GOP nomination" I see the results coming from Pennsylvania:
http://www.google.com/elections/ed/us/results/2012/gop-prima...
I see someone who is no longer running for president being ahead of Dr. Ron Paul!
The land of Valley Forge?
Liberty Bell?
What is going on in Pennsylvania?
UPDATE: Ron Paul was leading in Clearfield County with 97,2%!
Then they took it down to zero 'waiting for results'...hmm
I know at least one Daily Paul member took a screen shot - please post ASAP.
Looks like Ron Paul is minus 40K votes in PA right now compared to 2008. Seems to me like these votes were taken from Paul and given to Santorum.
