Ron Paul has brought a sea change in American politics. Without Paul there is no Tea Party of substance. It is merely a populist howl without vision or direction and we have heard it all before. But Paul brought substance: states’ rights, constitutional government and sound money. Ideas which hadn’t been broached in either party this past century.

These ideas have been amplified by Texas Gov. Rick Perry in his important book, Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington, and on Judge Andrew Napolitano's pioneering show on constitutional law, "Freedom Watch.” The Judge is, as he calls himself on occasion, the "night watchman" — an angel devoutly guarding our freedom as we sleep. That his show actually ran on prime time every night of the week for the past couple of years is tribute to the changes occurring in America. But for the moment, those times have stalled.

Judge Napolitano's show was canceled on about Presidents Day this year. I wasn't surprised. His Presidents Day show last year would shock the fainthearted. It was something like I had never seen on mainstay media, bravely, nobly going back to our constitutional beginnings and lifting up the rock to see what crawled underneath. The jovial Judge still does commentary for Fox Business, but the great ship has sailed. Perry likewise is not exactly out of a job, but back to square one. His vision put forth in Fed Up is forward-looking, mature and responsible and he occasionally discussed his views on the judge’s show.

We have seen in our recent times the beginning of a new movement. It began when 29 states followed the cue of New Hampshire State Rep. Dan Itse, who claimed that Jefferson's Kentucky Resolutions provided a correct rationale that the states had the right not to participate in ObamaCare. In my opinion, it makes no difference now what the Supreme Court decides on this issue. The important thing is that these states spontaneously and uniformly rose together in opposition to a federal mandate. We have not seen states rise up ever in the modern period like that. It brings America a new beginning.

Pundit Michael Barone early on compared the Tea Party with the ’60s, meaning it was a multifaceted cultural moment. Only this time it was among conservatives. There is a basic anthropology to this and all grassroots movements. The Tea Party needs now to leave behind the immature and unformed (like Glenn Beck, but also Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey, who merely tagged on to it) and rise up to a new stage with advanced and seasoned players like Napolitano and Perry. Bring in Sarah Palin as well; she knows how to pull a crowd. They might start a new party to package and nurture this life force.

As Jefferson was the true federalist it might be called that, the Federalist Party. It might be a better fit for a governor like Idaho’s Butch Otter, Kentucky’s Sen. Rand Paul, Utah’s Sen. Mike Lee, for Joe Miller if he decides to run for governor of Alaska and for Rick Perry if he decides to run again for president in 2016. Twenty-nine states have already stepped forward.

Tomorrow is a big day!

Tomorrow is the day the Phoenix rises in Washtenaw County Michigan.

It was 4 years ago we were overwhelmed by McCain people at the County Convention. Sure we had a few delegates and I even had been voted to go to State. We never had a chance at the State Convention.

This time its different. This time Washtenaw County belongs to Ron Paul. We hope to sweep the slate tomorrow. I hope the other Counties are ready to dance tomorrow too so we can take MI! I'm pumped!!!!!

In April polls Paul leads Romney in match ups with Obama – true one month averages and poll-watchers lies

From the data in Real Clear Politics (RCP) I compare averages of all national polls that surveyed the electability of Romney and Ron Paul in April. You will find the list of polls when you scroll down the page to all polls on the candidate on the RCP screen (not just that first table on the top!) via the links I provide for each candidate below. It is not easy to find Ron Paul on RCP anymore, since about April 1st , so you may need this link. You get it by looking for Ron Paul in their “Latest Polls”.

In April RCP shows 14 polls on Romney vs. Obama and 9 polls on Ron Paul vs. Obama. Below I add all the spreads for each of the two Republican candidates remaining in the race and divide the sum by number off polls. (+) is for Obama (who still tends to win in those match ups – so I do not show the plus). (-) indicates win for Paul or Romney and “0” a tie. Spread is the Percentage Point number by which a candidate wins in any given race or poll.

The General election match ups are important to establish candidates electability. We see that in April the results are very encouraging for Ron Paul who leads Romney by almost 1 point: 3.2 ~ 3 and 3.9 ~ 4. Why are my averages SO VERY different from those of RCP, who tries to tell us their own story and has been pushing it since January at least? They tell us on their “front page” that today 5/2 Ron Paul averages +8.6 for Obama (change from 7.4 which they were showing since January on) and show Romney with +3.6. This tale has Romney lead Paul by 5 points in the match ups! Really? You know how I have come up with my results ,in which Ron Paul is the winner in the April average. In order to get their lousy falsehood of an average look at what dates RCP covers for Paul vs Romney. They are not the same!

Ron Paul.............3/10 – 5/1......+8.6 for Obama
Romney...............4/11 – 5/1......+3.6 for Obama

No, it is NOT my typo. It is 3/ for Paul and 4/ for Romney. In order to come up with bad results for Ron Paul, RCP, a “poll watcher”, added a month more worth of polling for Paul, and started counting for Romney whenever his results would come out better for him. A totally idiosyncratic choice for their “scientific” figure. What do they compare? March-April with April? Even the weather average would be different.

It is encouraging that since 4/26 Rasmussen has been doing a continuing daily survey on Ron Paul in their reports. The reports were pretty scarce before that. Is Rasmussen waking up? Good somebody in the American media is. This is a nice surprise considering that Gallup still pretends that Romney is the only Republican candidate running. Below are some Gallup results. Romney was doing rather badly until a couple days ago when he pick up a bit:

It's a pity that a respectable pollster like Gallup deceives themselves and the American voters about who is running in the GOP primaries. By them, it is ROMINEE, as John Stewart named the game yesterday.

While Paul is drawing huge, passionate crowds, the person that major media sources have dubbed the presumptive nominee, is drawing small crowds and is generating little enthusiasm.

This momentum and excitement is occurring despite an apparently coordinated attempt by major media outlets to ignore the Ron Paul Revolution. Perhaps this is one reason outlets like CNN are seeing their ratings tumble dramatically. CNN ratings hit a ten year low in April.

The stated preference of CNN is to be an independent-minded news station in contrast with FOX News and MSNBC, that have decided to cater to right-leaning or left-leaning political audiences. Given their abysmal performance, one would think CNN would be more open to the presidential candidate that has excellent support among political Independents. Paul's committed following would flock to CNN if there were favorable coverage there, or any coverage at all. Instead, the dwindling numbers of CNN viewers have to listen to Wolf Blitzer and the parade of talking heads at CNN telling them that Congressman Paul is irrelevant, despite what they are seeing elsewhere with their own eyes.

MSNBC is the Obama network and FOX is reluctantly starting to shill for Romney. Perhaps CNN could rise above the partisan fray and provide the choice of Independents some unbiased coverage. Potential viewers might notice.

Drugging gullible OWS useful idiots: as an incentive to take 'illegal' drugs with local police approval (it's a taxpayer funded state program!) for the sole purpose of building an army of Snitches for leverage, entrapment, and to bolster DUI arrests!

I can imagine in not too distant future, undercovercops randomly handing out flyers as any street protestor or rent-a-hire for local event organizers/vendors would, except it'll be laced with some illicit drug, then say that if you're an innocent pedestrian just minding your business and the informant or an undercovercop randomly walked up to you in a panhandler type manner and simply handed you that laced-with-illicit-drugs-flyer, as soon as you accept it, they'd constitute that as 'drug trafficking,' and arrest and jail you on the spot!

That would've sounded far off even couple of yrs ago, but these days? Nothing these govt terrorists do, would surprise me in the slightest anymore, unfortunately.

Editor’s note: This video needs to go viral. It provides more evidence that the war on drugs is a criminal enterprise. It also shows how the cops are responsible for the drug problem in Minnesota and are using tax payer money to get young people high on illegal drugs. It is very interesting that the police are conducting their DRE op in Peavey Plaza where OWS people are active. After the OWS launched their Spring offensive, the feds responded by arranging a bogus terror plot on a Cleveland Bridge and have also apparently mailed themselves white powder to drum up terrorism fears. Both incidents have been pinned on the OWS movement by the establishment media.

MK Occupy Minnesota: Drugs & the DRE Program at Peavey Plaza

Video documentation by local activists and independent media shows that police officers and county deputies from across Minnesota have been picking up young people near Peavey Plaza for a training program to recognize drug-impaired drivers. Multiple participants say officers gave them illicit drugs and provided other incentives to take the drugs. The Occupy movement, present at Peavey Plaza since April 7th, appears to be targeted as impaired people are dropped off at the Plaza, and others say they've been rewarded for offering to snitch on the movement.

Local independent media activists and members of Communities United Against Police Brutality began investigating police conduct around the Plaza after witnessing police dropping off impaired people at the plaza and hearing rumors that they were offering people drugs. We videotaped police conduct and interviewed participants, learning some very disturbing information about the DRE program.

Officers stated on record the DRE program, run by the Minnesota State Patrol, has no Institutional Review Board or independent oversight. They agreed no ambulances or EMTs were on site at the Richfield MnDOT facility near the airport where most subjects were taken. Multiple times, participants left Peavey Plaza sober, returned intoxicated, and said they'd been given free drugs by law enforcement. We documented on more than one occasion, someone being told they were sober by one officer, and then picked up by a different officer, and returning intoxicated.

Given the dangers of impaired driving, there is value in training law enforcement officers to distinguish between the effects of various drugs and several common medical conditions. However, we have captured video footage of instances in which DRE trainees recruited subjects who are not already impaired, and those participants say they were given drugs by the officers.

Although program documents indicate that participants must sign a waiver, https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/msp/for...onsorResponsib there was no indication from any of the participants interviewed that a waiver was offered or obtained.

Further, video footage seems to validate the recollections of participants that no medical personnel or ambulance were on site during the observation and testing in Richfield. A DRE officer told one of our investigators that no Institutional Review Board assessment of the program has been made, a requirement of all experiments involving human subjects. Since it's unethical to encourage people to take drugs--whether by giving them drugs directly or enticing them with food, cigarettes, or other rewards (which participants say they were given)--it is unlikely such a program would pass IRB review as it endangers the test subjects.

According to the WCCO article from May 2011, officer trainees in the past have worked with various non-profit organizations to recruit drug users. It would appear now that they are no longer relying solely on this tactic, instead recruiting users directly and, participants say, providing them with drugs. After the sessions, these individuals are then dropped off in public areas without supportive care, creating a public safety hazard. In an example at Peavey Plaza caught on film, an individual who said he's been smoking courtesy of the police for an hour, crossed a line of Minneapolis police barricades, climbed to the top of a large sign and sat 15 feet above the sidewalk swinging his arms and legs in front of a police camera.

Our investigation points to particular efforts to target and recruit youth. Further, law enforcement officers have been taped recruiting people from the Peavey Plaza area of Nicollet Mall and have dropped off a number of impaired individuals at Peavey Plaza. In some instances, Minneapolis police squad cars were present while DRE trainees recruited people at Peavey Plaza. After receiving drugs, some subjects were asked to snitch on the Occupy movement or asked about various people and activities of Occupy, they said. Given efforts by the Minneapolis city council to pass an ordinance designed to restrict access to Peavey Plaza by the Occupy movement, the conduct of DRE trainees points to the possibility that they are working hand-in-glove with Minneapolis police to discredit and disrupt the Occupy movement.

"I think most people would be very surprised to have our tax dollars used to get people high," states Michelle Gross, president of Communities United Against Police Brutality. "These activities call into question the methods and motives of this DRE training."
